Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

I feel bad but I'm not ready for the in laws to know yet. I feel like telling them and telling my parents is a very different kettle of fish. I have confided in my "mum friend" who is hugely supportive and really helpful to just bounce ideas off. I told her before my parents because tbh I just needed to vent. It's cute some of you have pregnancy buddies!

thefirsttimer · 27/06/2018 23:06

Red it will be lovely for your little one to only be 8 months apart from their cousin! Plus you might get the benefit of lots of things being passed down to you Grin. FX for your friend for her IVF 🤞🏼.

Frankie I agree with you it does feel different telling the in laws! Thankfully my DH is closer to my DPs than his (long, boring story!) so we were on the same page in telling mine first.

Wineandchoccy · 28/06/2018 05:08

I can’t sleep had this with my last pregnancy but I have a 3 yr old now so catching up on sleep is not as easy.
We have always waited until after the dating scan to tell anybody but was awful telling people about the mmc and my mum guessed last time also got to be careful of big ears dd because she repeats anything she hears Grin

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 06:41

@RedRobin7 that sounds lovely, hopefully your lo will have lots of little friends similar in age to grow up with! Good for you too, Mummy friends!

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 06:45

@Wineandchoccy yeah pregnancy insomnia sucks! I had it a bit last time, thankfully hasn't hit me yet but as you say harder to catch up now with a toddler around so hoping I can keep sleeping! Intending to wait until after the 13 week scan for the public announcement, knows lots of people don't tell anyone before the but I'd never make it!

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 07:53

@Wineandchoccy @Murphyrocks Omg I am not sleeping well either and I'm exhausted! I woke up every couple of hours last night. Im a sleep walker and talker as well so I went to bed with no clothes on and just a sheet over me, woke up under my duvet with a bra on! Ffs! It can't be healthy that my brain isn't resting and I'm overheating myself by getting my duvet in the night. Argh!

We will tell less people this time until the dating scan but it was much easier to tell the people who knew that we'd had a MC than explaining the whole situation. Hoping that won't happen this time though!

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 08:12

@RedRobin7 how strange for you! I was a sleep walker as a teen but thankfully grew out of it as an adult, think it must've been the hormones so maybe pregnancy is exacerbating it? I woke up really tired this morning too but think my ds waking at 5.30 had something to do with that!

Just took another test this morning and it's so strong already! Looking back at my tests from last pg it took 5-6 weeks for hcg to get to this level and I was only 4 weeks yesterday, hope it's not twins or anything! 😱

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 10:56

@Murphyrocks I definitely think my hormones are making it worse! I do crazy stuff in the night like plugging in lamps and trying to sleep with my glasses on 🙈 I often wake up sitting on the toilet too! My husband wears earplugs now so he doesn't hear me pottering about lol.

Saw the doctor this morning and the process has changed in our area since Jan. I used to have to wait to be referred to the midwives but now I have my booking in appointment on 1st August when I'm just under 10 weeks. I know I won't get my scan date until a few days after that so it'll no doubt be closer to 13 weeks again. So glad I've booked a private scan so I don't have to wait that long!

Still no symptoms here other than massive nipples. Wish I had some to reassure me! Trying to stay positive.

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 12:41

@RedRobin7 are you monitoring the pg at all - temping/hcg tests? I've been doing both and temps have stayed consistent above lp temps and hcg rising each day so tnay keeps me fairly happy things are going as they should at the moment at least. My booking in scan is at 7 weeks and I had to argue that so that dh can come, they generally want to do it before 6 weeks here. Then I have a private scan at 7 weeks, then as you say the 13 week scan. All seems so far away but hopefully it'll go fast!

Yeah I used to do that kind of stuff too, like walking into my parents' room to borrow deoderant! Very odd waking up and realising your dream was actually real!

WildFlower2018 · 28/06/2018 12:54

Good afternoon everybody!

I'd love to join the thread too. I took a test with feint (but obvious) lines at what my app estimates was 11 days po. Took tests again at 12 days and 13 days po. All positive, stronger lines. AF never that regular but app estimates I'd be due on today or tomorrow. So I'm just waiting for the weekend now really! No AF = another confirmation.

Assuming everything is ok, my app says I'd be due 8th March 2019, fingers crossed!

By chance, I have a doctors app next week, so I'll mention the + test then.

It's my first, so of course I'm insanelyyyyy excited.

😊😊😊

WildFlower2018 Welcome and congratulations

SuperSharpShooter82 · 28/06/2018 13:37

Hello all! And welcome @WildFlower! Is this your first?

I had my Drs app this morning and have been referred to the local hospital for antenatal. Been told the midwives will be in touch within the next two weeks to book my booking in app so it looks like my private scan at 7 weeks will be before! Veer between excited and an anxious wreck/feeling sick with worry just thinking about it! The good news is the Dr said I should have no problems requesting an elective CS due to the complications/terrible birth I had during last time. So that was a relief, worried I was going to have to fight for it. She also said that if I have any significant bleeding like last time they will book me into EPU, so very reassuring.

I am also sleeping badly but not sure if it is heat? I am also getting up three times to wee! Not as exciting as your sleep escapades @Red!

I get your paranoia @Bun, its so hard. I am trying to tell myself that today I am pregnant and all is going well. I really want this to work out though and am super anxious. I think this group is a good outlet for some of my crazy since there isn’t really anyone else I can talk to about my fears/excitement on the same level.

Although that said, DH told MIL (we get on really well) yesterday and today I told my parents. They look after DD two days a week, today being one of them, so I dressed her in the t-shirt (I’m going to be a big sister) with a buttoned up cardigan and dropped her off! They got in touch not long after shocked but really happy. Have had to calm them all down as whilst I love their happiness, it’s just too early for celebrating. Will only do that if the bay gets here safe and well!

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 15:41

@WildFlower2018 Congrats and welcome to the gang 😊

@Murphyrocks I never got into the whole temping thing but I did hear you need to have good sleeping patterns for it to be accurate and needless to say I don't have that 🙈 I also get very obsessed and paranoid easily so probably better for me that I chill out this time.

@SuperSharpShooter82 That is so cute you just left and waited for them to see it! ❤️

Goatlady5812 · 28/06/2018 17:22

Excuse my language but oh my shitting god. Two days from hell! Went in for my scan Tuesday morning as zero idea on dates (🤦‍♀️) lady couldn’t find anything on ultrasound but spent ages and did not say a word.... then went in vaginally. Spent an age... told me she was sorry but couldn’t see anything. Then said would I be ok to wait in the waiting room.... (other pregnant ladies) then I twigged she wasn’t hopeful. Called into see mw. She explained that there was fluid (13mm) in the Douglas pouch never ever heard of this before plus a growth on left side.... both consistent with ectopic. By this time I was hysterical. She did my bloods and sent me on my way with a leaflet on loss and ectopic. Two hours later she called me and said bloods were positive and progesterone (i thought it was hcg?!) was 147 and to come back in today. Went back in for more bloods. Midwife called an agonising 4 hours later to say the levels had shot up so all looked good. Back on Thursday next week for another scan..... but what a horrid two days!!!!!

Goatlady5812 · 28/06/2018 17:23

Plus by this point I’ve prob spent a million pounds on
Pregnancy tests. Oopsy.

frankiefumbles · 28/06/2018 17:28

I find it so exciting people are joining our ranks! I'm just as excited about your positives as I am about mine!!! Yippee!

frankiefumbles · 28/06/2018 17:32

@Goatlady5812 so sorry to hear it. What a nightmare. So have they left you feeling hopeful that it was too early and they can't see it, or that they are concerned it's ectopic?

WildFlower2018 · 28/06/2018 17:56

@Goatlady5812 that's crackers! Sounds like an awful few days. Good luck for next week though x

thefirsttimer · 28/06/2018 17:57

Hi everyone, just quickly checking in as I'm off out for dinner tonight (not that I feel like eating Envy). Hope you're all doing okay and welcome to WildFlower Smile

Goat what an ordeal you've had, I'm sorry you've been going through that! Will keep everything crossed for you that the latest tests are correct and everything is normal 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

P.s Red your sleepwalking sounds tiring yet fun Grin

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 18:03

@Goatlady5812 I completely agree with your language, that sounds absolutely horrendous! But sounds like hopefully things are still OK?

@RedRobin7 yes I can understand that, I'm kinda the other way around though I need to feel as in control as possible, information soothes me!

@SuperSharpShooter82 that's a super cute idea! I bought one of those t shirts yesterday for DS and will put him in it when my parents come to stay on Monday assuming it arrives in time! Good news on the elective CS too, the main thing zim going to ask at booking in is whether my pg is classed as high risk due to DS's history as that will limit my options for birth. But obviously I don't want to do anything to jeopardise dc#2 if they think more monitoring is needed.

Congrats @WildFlower2018, welcome to the March-ers!

Goatlady5812 · 28/06/2018 18:21

Yes thankfully seems all is still ok 👏 love reading these posts daily this group seems to be filling up nicely. Anyone struggling to eat?! I have no appetite for anything!!!

Murphyrocks · 28/06/2018 18:35

@Goatlady5812 🙋‍♀️ me, me! I've found myself alternatively ravenous and nauseous, so doing my best to eat lots of healthy, calorific food when I'm hungry and just snack on light, bland things (I'm finding the little graze packs and plain mixed nuts good) when I can't face a proper meal. I've also been making ginger and lemon iced tea which is great for stomach settling. Last time I found making smoothies and soups was good for when I couldn't face food too.

Hope some of that might help!

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 18:45

@Goatlady5812 Sorry you had to go through that ordeal. It's horrible having to wait around but thankfully the results of the blood test mean you're probably just further behind than you expected and it's just too early to see anything yet. Keep us posted.

WildFlower2018 · 28/06/2018 18:58

"I've found myself alternatively ravenous and nauseous"

Omg ... exactly me!
