@Bangwhistle also waiting for our harmony results too so will virtually hold your hand!! It is so hard waiting isn't it!

TinyPawz · 11/04/2018 02:38

Forgive my ignorance, what are Harmony results?

MiniMinions · 11/04/2018 07:31

@LastNightsMakeUp centipedes did make me chuckle this morning haha

On my list is another Ewan sheep, we got it for my son at 3 months and wish had got it earlier as he likes white noise. At nearly 3 we still use it but he chooses which tune!

@Amarettoplease I bought a close Caboo 2nd band from fb sites for £25 and every now and again they appear. I might borrow my sisters one though and sell ours as she's got a newer one which had a pocket. We've also got a Tula standard which still use with son now, there is now the free-grow Tula which can be used from birth I believe.

We bought a Tippee Toes (I think it was called) baby bath which was immaculate when I leant it to my sister...last time I saw it not so much so bit annoyed at that as we took good care of it (has got foam head bit etc which we tried to avoid getting too wet etc) so could reuse. I was bit upset when I saw the state of it last time. Pathetic I know.

We will need to get a Moses basket for down stairs as borrowed from friends last time but have got crib for bedroom.

Amarettoplease · 11/04/2018 08:52

@MiniMinions ooh let me know if you choose to sell it on for the same price- I’d be interested. You’ve reminded me to add Ewan to the list, we went through a phase of putting the iPad at the end of the cot playing white noise but I’d prefer the sheep. We also went through a phase of playing LBC all night at low volume (you know when you try anything to get a few uninterrupted hours sleep!)

We borrowed a Moses basket from a friend last time and then had mould in our bedroom (before DS was born). We sorted the mouldy but he basket wasn’t salvageable and I felt awful telling our friend. My mum bought another one that was nicer/more expensive and I gave that one back to friend (she’s since had a second). Hopefully she offers to lend it to us again without me asking as I feel awful whenever I think of it! Annoying when people just don’t make an effort to look after other people’s things though.

sarahhh1984 · 11/04/2018 09:16

Thankfully I've not got too much to buy as DD is not quite one yet so we still have all her stuff. Will need a new pram and crib (something bigger than last time as DD grew out of it by 8 weeks!) but for the most part that's all. Although I'll probably end up buying loads.

By the way, Aldi have one of their baby events coming up. It starts in store from 19 April, but will be online from this Sunday. I got loads from it when I was expecting DD and it was all lovely stuff.

petiteange28 · 11/04/2018 09:34

My advice (FWIW) is to try and borrow Sleepyhead/Cocoonababy if you can. My DS hated the Sleepyhead but loved the Cocoonababy and a friend let us borrow both so at least I didn't waste loads of money. At least once you know what your baby likes you can then buy the item (and save money)!!

TinyPaws · 11/04/2018 10:59

Scan today was bad news baby small and heartbeat not confirmed. Got to go back next week for another scan but expecting bad news. I had fertility treatment so am sure of dates.

Not gone back to work gone home to have a cry. Still feel nausous massive sore boobs etc which just seems cruel.

pipsqueak126 · 11/04/2018 11:11

@TinyPaws So sorry to hear that :-( There sounds like there's still hope though, if you're experiencing nausea? Big hugs, take it easy today and I hope you've got someone's shoulder to cry on. Hoping for the best xxx

MeredithShepherd · 11/04/2018 11:30

@TinyPaws so sorry for you. Sounds like it could still be promising though so fingers crossed. How many weeks are you now? Xx

sarahhh1984 · 11/04/2018 11:34

@TinyPaws So sorry that you're going through this, it must be so hard. If does sound like there's still hope though so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thinking of you. Thanks

TinyPawz · 11/04/2018 11:51

@TinyPaws I'm so sorry but hopefully there will be a significant change on next weeks scan. Fingers cross, well everything crossed. Xx

Amarettoplease · 11/04/2018 12:23

Oh @TinyPaws I’m sorry it wasn’t positive. So cruel to hear that and still have symptoms although I’m keeping fx for you that next week is more promising.

TheImprobableGirl · 11/04/2018 12:32

Sorry for your sad news @Tinypaws a slim chance is much better than no chance - and babies grow very fast in a short space of time, so although being half the size it should be sounds a big difference, in reality it is only a couple of days. I know you are certain of dates but there are lots of things like delayed implantation you could look up (if you wanted) and lots of positive stories from people in similar positions.

Keep strong, and stay positive for now xx

petiteange28 · 11/04/2018 12:44

@TinyPaws I am so sorry about your news. I really hope you get better news next week. Take care of yourself x

toasterstrudle · 11/04/2018 13:35

LastNightsMakeUp · 11/04/2018 13:59

Ssspider · 11/04/2018 14:54

NoCatsHere · 11/04/2018 15:17

tinypaws so sorry you had bad news at todays scan, and you have to wait another week to find out more information. Thinking of you. Flowers

TheUbercornMum · 11/04/2018 16:14

@Tinypaws I'm so sorry to hear about the scan this morning. Will keep my fingers crossed that all OK next week.

Saraswati · 11/04/2018 18:14

@tinypaws so sorry, I hope your next scan brings better news.

Got a date for my scan and I'll be 13+4 it's not for another month! I'm not even sure of my dates so I'm worried they won't be able to do the measurements, plus I don't think I can take another month of anxiety. Might have to be an annoying person and try and get an earlier one, I bet my chances are pretty much zero :(

bangwhistle · 11/04/2018 18:26

Oh @TinyPaws I really feel for you. Life can be so cruel; thinking of you.

@TinyPawz the Harmony test is a slightly more accurate screen test for the three main trisomies. The NHS test can sometimes throw up scary results just because of y0ur age and n0w I'm officially geriatric I wanted to avoid unnecessary worry but also be armed if need be with all the information I can have as early as possible.

@TheUbercornMum handhold from me too. This is the longest week ever. Hoping to hear Friday. You?
