what a your boss is filbrit! what are people supposed to do? die of thirst? Could always point out the time they would spend walking over to water cooler they actually spend at their desks working. They probably save millions of working hours per week by having a bottle of water on their desks!!

Hey Filbrit, studies have shown that children in school benefit from having a bottle of water on their tables because it has powerful effects on their concentration and brain function etc. I'm sure the same could be said for adults!! WHAT AN AAAAAAAAAAAAARSE!!!! I think you did very well to sit and take it, you also did well not to pick up said bottle of water and give him a good squirt in the eye!! Maybe he's having one of those 6 monthly periods men seem to get!

Oh there's some fun to be had here, wonder if I can get away with putting it on expenses!

ccpink · 16/05/2007 19:28

hi hopeit,
I don't know what spd is. I've just looked at the acronym list and still none the wiser?! Please help if I'm being thick.
I rang the midwife and she seems to think my ligaments could be loosening for the baby down there. She said it is early but does happen and maybe I'm doing too much. She asked how much I sit with my feet up, which I don't as I teach so am on my feet most of the day. Have to see how I get on Thurs/Fri and then maybe go and see her. Sounds pretty worrying - like it could just drop out so had my feet up since four and hoping will ease tomorrow hoping!
Got good news about my mum. Think they got all the cancer in the op so just three weeks of radio therapy in a while - the best possible news in circumstances.
Anyone else had or know anything about ligaments loosening?!

FilBrit · 16/05/2007 19:33

ccpink - that's great news about your mum

ccpink · 16/05/2007 19:34

Chattyhan · 16/05/2007 20:44

Ok so DP and I had that little chat - turns out he doesn't want this baby, not sure if he wants me or family life anymore but he loves DS to bits - so thats ok then - started a new thread any help/support appreciated here

loobybump · 17/05/2007 09:07

Morning everyone. I phoned Midwife this morning and told her about the eyes going funny and headaches and she wants to see me ASAP! :-( silly woman not know its my first and im now sh**g myself! agh another random day!

toadstool · 17/05/2007 09:11

Chattyhan , it's a nasty turn of events. Hopefully it's 'half-way point' cold feet on his part, and he'll do some coming round.
Not stopping work until September 15th, but as we're supposed to be relocating and I'm changing jobs over the Summer, there'll be no 'work' to be done in August anyway. I'm compiling a list of what we need after a 5 year gap. There are things lurking in various corners, but we need the Big Stuff as the buggy fell apart a year ago, the IKEA cot is in bits in a damp garage, the newborn outfits have holes cut in all the feet... Hmm, might have to go to Mamas and Papas and do some 'essential' browsing (no buying allowed yet, I'm planning a 30 week boredom shopping spree).
The joy of PG is endless. The baby's moved up, the piles have calmed down, and now I have burping heartburn. As for sex, DH is completely off it, and I can't be bothered, I'd burp all over him anyway. Hurrah!

toadstool · 17/05/2007 09:12

Loopybump, good luck with the MW appt!

loobybump · 17/05/2007 09:20

Thank you. agh! men and prenancy and midwives all in one day how stressed can a girl get! and its only 9.25am .

Chattyhan · 17/05/2007 09:27

loobybump - i had a simular thing when i was pregnant with DS. It was all blood pressure related and i was told to sit down more and get up/move more slowly - there was no immediate risk to baby - just my body saying slow down - but it was really scary!

Cashier at tesco had to help me sit down and get me a glass of water one time it happened! I felt like such a fool with all my shopping on the conveyor belt and people behind me! makes me laugh now.

Thanks for the support xx

loobybump · 17/05/2007 09:33

Aw thats good. i think maybe ill chill more when my house has finished being done ... if it ever does!!! something like 17weeks left till baby here and we have got kitchen to do, conservatory to get up and babys room to be decorated so i haven't even bought stuff yet. and it's so stressful because no one doing anything i think all of this may have something to do with the headaches. agh well worse off then me i guess!

Thanks x

Chattyhan · 17/05/2007 09:38

no problem - does sound like things are a bit busy! The risk is if you were to collapse/fall due to dizzyness - so when it happens sit down quick and put your head down - between your knees - yeah right, FAT CHANCE OF THAT!!!!!!

FlossALump · 17/05/2007 09:45

Hi Chatty, I'm glad things sound as though they are calming down and he is being more reasonable. I think pg does put more stress on a relationship - DP and I have been at each other like cat and dog for about a week now. When I think about it we are both working, I am tired and grumpy and resentful of his snoring and now find my back pain makes me even more short.

I agree with the others that it sounds like he has got scared, DP and I were ttc since last sept and yet he still tries to claim I 'made' him do it. It is true I was always more keen than him but anyone who knows him knows he can't be 'made' to do anything! Hence him not coming with me now to my mums this weekend .

I'm sure he will soon be mortified for ever saying these things to you. If I were you I would try and keep a cool and calm distance. Thats what I did after a nasty row yesterday and it resulted in a box of choccies - almost worth having the row!

As others have said, keep bending our ear here and take care. xxx
