SOH I was a goth too, bring on sisters of mercy!!

Abbeylou congrats on you lo beautiful name btw, hope your doing ok both of you

MJB a stone - is this for real and 2 in 10 omg, sign me up, whats involved, whats the dietimg like???? i still need to shift 1.5st

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/05/2007 20:31

Thats exactly it SOH, that's why it works, it is NOT a diet!!!!
It is a healthy eating plan, a change of lifestyle, NOTHING is not allowed. In fact it is so safe that you can continue right through pregnancy if you want to. I didn't because I'm lazy. Yes, it is a class but very very good, the support from other members is fantastic . I would seriously reccomend it to anyone that LOVES food. You can eat So much on it, I was always stuffed.

Sorry enough now, I'll stop!

Congrats Abbylou, beautiful name, hope ds is not too sick and you get to rest a little.

I've never dieted in my life, I just like food too much Actually living in Africa is good for you as you really end up just eating fresh food basics, not too many luxuries so i always splurge when I am back here! Normally it takes me about 3months to get back to pre-preg weight...

aprilmeadow · 09/05/2007 20:37

CONGRATULATIONS AbbyLou! Beautiful names and a good weight. Cant wait to hear the full story.. Hope ds feels better soon

scootermum · 09/05/2007 20:49

Well in that case Im deffo going to go...am going to look and see where my nearest one is..
You will have lost some weight SOH, but maybe not all of it..you will prob be one of the lucky ones that it just falls off and for most people the BFing helps as well, (though not for me, I was one of the unlucky ones of course, whose body refused to lose a pound, presumanbly as it feared it might be starved and need the reserves to make milk..God knows WHERE it got that idea, it was having a laugh!)

3 months is pretty impressive Cam..o god am going to be the only heifer left on the post natal thread come August...not that it matters, its whats on the inside that counts..and inside I am the living spit of Mischa Barton!

scootermum · 09/05/2007 20:51

I was a bit of a Goth too, well probably a bit Goth/grunge fusion-I wore alot of tye dye and black and listened mainly to Nirvans, Nine Inch Nails and Janes Addiction...I didnt look good..in the slightest..

LupinsBigLump · 09/05/2007 20:59

Aidan Sorley was born last night at 10.30, arriving with perfect timing just after his dad got home and shortly after his granny had arrived and his big brother had gone to bed.

Labour was quite quick - 4 hrs and only became quite intense for the last 3/4hr when I was in the pool so everything went very well. He is doing lots of sleeping and is feeding well.

I'll come and catch up again tomorrow but I see congratulations are due to Abbylou!

Bensonbluebird · 09/05/2007 21:51

Forgot to say, 8lbs 1oz and 55.5cm long!

scootermum · 09/05/2007 21:54

Another baby!!Another great name!May mummies pick the best names I think..congrats BBB!

InTheseShoes · 09/05/2007 22:01

Congratulations BensonsBlueBird! What a lovely name, there are some great choices for these May babies!

Wow, thick and fast!

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 23:11

Congrats Benson!

Anybody still up?

Am leaking inordinate amounts of clear fluid, bit more mucus and some blood. Had quite a heavy gush of water half an hour ago- enough to soak my trousers.

What do you reckon? Waters or my bladder's lost the plot?

Bad news is there are no midwives for a homebirth tonight. Buggeration. Got to cross my legs until tomorrow morning when more community midwives are on shift.

SOH call the plumber because your water is broken!

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 23:31

Thanks meggle, I'm desperately hoping nothing happens before tomorrow morning. I'll let somebody else give birth tonight!

MKG · 09/05/2007 23:31

SOH I'll be around as long as you need me.

By the way congrats to Benson, and Abbylou.

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 23:31
MKG · 09/05/2007 23:32

I dare you to call one and say that your water is broken and ask if they could come fix it.

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 23:35

The callout charge at this time of night would be phenomenal. And they're always so greasy, ordinarily somewhat attractive but I don't think I could have those calloused hands near my fanjo.

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 23:40

I think I should try and get some sleep just in case. Will probably fail miserably and be back very soon.

Night night.
xx

MKG · 09/05/2007 23:45

Good night, and good luck.
