Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I felt awful yesterday as I was really short tempered with DD-and she is too little for me to be short tempered with..Im glad other people are a bit short fused as well and its not just me being a terrible bitch..

Glad your hall looks nice Pebble..and big ups to you having the energy for the freezer..Im totally knackered tonight, I was asleep over DD's story and could hardly drag my sorry self up the stairs..hey ho, not long now in any case..Only it CANNOT be before DH's exams are over-he is totally stressing out about them, even though he says he isnt, (he doesnt recognise when he is stressed out at all, he just gets in a proper grump and snaps at everyone and when you say to him 'calm down' he says, 'I am calm' and goes and kicks something, sigh..)

HUGE CONGRATS to Cam, Creena and SOH! Oh, a whole 3 new babies

Hello to everyone

I'll second having NO patience at the minute. Don't know why but the littlest thing can really wind me up and make me shout. My poor family, it can't be easy living with me. I'm also incredibly moody and fed up, though that may be down to living with an unreasonable 13 year old!

My mum got me my changing unit today and MADE my poor dad put it up straight away, bless him! It's so pretty, just have to get some nice wee basket type things to put on the shelves. Have a list of things to do as long as my arm but cannot find the energy to do them, yet am constantly moaning about the fact I'm bored and have nothing to do

My stomach is in agony atm, anyone else's? The skin is so unbelievably stretched it actually hurts to touch it. I knocked my bump against the door earlier (only lightly, normally wouldn't have even felt it!) and my god, I was in tears for the pain! I've still got 2 weeks till term, I honestly don't know how it can stretch anymore. And if it does the pain is gonna be really bad!

Can't believe all the May babies are actually coming! Where has the time gone, and why oh why has it decided to slow down now lol!!!

scootermum · 11/05/2007 21:07

Benson, you and the little one look great..lovely picture..congrats again..

drkgpink · 11/05/2007 21:08

congrats creena, cameroon and SOH. 3 more healthy may babies. Lets keep them coming.
Gingerbear are you still doing mile for maude tomorrow??

off to bed now as busy day, was out of house for 6 hours and left dh at home, got loads done and familiarised myself with the nursing rooms in john lewis and mothercare in town centre.

have a good night with new babies/pregnant bumps.

scootermum · 11/05/2007 21:22

Evening LW..(Waves madly)Ive just scraped my bump on DD's cot,(when I went in to check she was still breathing before getting into bed , cant believe I still do that!)Had to stuff my fist in my mouth to stop myself yelping and waking her up..

13 days till our due date..thats not so long..

I havent cleaned the house for the viewings tomorrow and there are tons of things still to do here, but I dont seem to find the time or the motivation..have to get up early now to get up and get out and get a new phone..
I hate showing people round the house..I never know what to say-I mean its all pretty self explanatory really, Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, garden...

scootermum · 11/05/2007 21:25

Cole Brothers you mean Drp..for the Sheffield born and bred..(My Mum will NEVER refer to it as John Lewis...or am I getting it confused with a different one)
Glad to hear you are getting out and about and things still going well..

Sumsey · 11/05/2007 22:35

hello all..feeling better now. resorted to eating a large amount of crisps and chocolate

Pebblemum · 11/05/2007 23:07

great pic benson, so cute, its great seeing all the new arrivals but it also makes me want mine now {{pebble stamps feet}}

My bump feels a bit tender too, im also finding im bumping it more now, you would think id have got used to it being there by now Even my mum kept knocking it the with her elbow the other day!! Ive also noticed its got very itchy which is annoying me especially when it starts just as i get in bed

My mum phoned earlier to inform me that 1)my brother is on his way home from Ireland and a bit for him as it obviously hasnt worked out like he planned and 2)instead of coming back from Holland on Tuesday they are planning on staying at least one more day so i have to keep my legs crossed and baby inside until Friday at the earliest so that they can guarantee that they are back in the country (as if i have any control over it lol)

Funny thing is ive been getting a few pains this evening, not that im getting excited about them as im sure they are nothing just like all the pains i was getting last week but i can just imagine phoning my parents in the early hours of the morning just as they leave for Dover to tell them im in labour or even better that ive had the baby lol.

Pebblemum · 11/05/2007 23:08

Also meant to say Welcome to Sumsey!!!

Sumsey · 11/05/2007 23:16

hi pebblemum..my MIL and FIL are off to florida for the next two weeks. MIL is terrified at propect of being away and me having baby...ive had v.strict instructions to cross my legs and hold on am really happy they going away mainly due to FIL's daily "anything happening?" phone calls....

MKG · 11/05/2007 23:31

Well I'm still here, and am the picture of health.

Ultrasound was good they are estimating this baby to hbe about 7 lbs now (38 weeks tomorrow) and has all his functions so we'll see.

I went to the Dr.'s office and was told that the doctor I was supposed to see was called in for an emergency delivery, so I was sent to the third office (ultrasound at one, scheduled appointment at the other, and as it turns out actual appoinment at the third so lots of driving).

I am perfectly normal bp 122/82, no protein or sugar in the urine, weight gain is good, my doctor today (my favorite by the way) didn't understand why I had a non stress test scheduled, or an ultrasound, but she went with it. I registered two big yet insignificant contractions, and I was supposed to have an internal, so they stripped my down, but she didn't do it. Anyway the funny part is that I've been sweating so much and my ass was so sweaty that when I got up to put my clothes back on the paper on the table was stuck to my ass and I had quite a time getting it off.

So no induction for me yet, which I have mixed feelings about, but I'm excited to know what going into labor naturally feels like. I can't wait to say "Honey, It's time!"

Pebblemum · 12/05/2007 02:10

MKG glad all went well at your appointments even if there was a lot of running around. I now have a mental image of a heavily pg woman running around with paper stuck to her arse lol

Sumsey In a way having this LO while my parents are away would be quite good as my mum wants to be there for the birth (she was with my other two) but dh wants it to be just us and i havent yet found a way to tell my mum, i dont want to upset her and im in two minds whether i want her there or not (she's a bit like my lucky charm and also seems to know when i want my back rubbed or not without me having to say)The silly thing is they go away again on 1st June for a fortnight so if i go over edd (23rd) like i did with ds2 then they may not be here for the birth anyway and there is no way im holding on until they get back that time lol!!

Im now off to bed, the pains have stopped (what a suprise) but LO is playing havoc with my insides now instead, just now i made dh jump by crying out in pain, i had a foot sticking out just under my ribs, and the little bugger keeps trying to do it again, it is really uncomfortable. Hopefully she will stop when i lay down

Goodnight!!!

drkgpink · 12/05/2007 02:17

welcome sumsey, my in laws flew to antigua for 2 weeks on 28th april, my waters broke after threy had been in the air for 4 hours!!! think the vibes i had been sending worked, they are due back this sunday but as they live 4 hours away it will be next we when they get here.
yes scooter i mean coles but didn't think anyone else would know it. its still there although the council are going to knock it down to make that area pedestrianised.

hope all new babies settling in well.

AbbyLou · 12/05/2007 08:23

Good morning everyone! Congratulations to all the new arrivals, I feel like my feet haven't touched the ground since Tuesday morning.
Ruby is an angel and her big brother is beginning to show an interest in her now which is lovely to see. She is settling better at night now and going about 2 1/2 hours between feeds so we are getting some sleep. Going from one to two has been (so far) a lot easier than I imagined. I'm sure it will get harder when Ruby becomes a little more demanding of my time.
My stitches are healing nicely and don't really hurt any more but I am still having lots of pain from engorgement. My boobs feel like they're going to explode! I spent all day yesterday with cabbage leaves in my bra. I can't believe I actually did it but believe me, it worked a treat. Well I am off to get everybody dressed and get a shower. Labour vibes to all those who are ready.

LupinsBigLump · 12/05/2007 08:50

Dizzy shop.babyworld.co.uk/DisplayDetail.aspx?prodid=1502

it is for a cat net for a cotbed/ cot, I also found one for pushchair on amazon but they were no longer stocked - it is clippasafe who make them

Hope all you pg people are ok and slept comfortably, and all the new mums had a good nights sleep with soundly sleeping babies unlike me!!!!

Is anyones elses baby really noisy at night, Arlen snores, sleep talks, groans, sneezes, coughs ahhhhhhhhh be quiet!!!

DizzyBrummie · 12/05/2007 09:00

Thanks Lupins, I'll get straight on it

aprilmeadow · 12/05/2007 09:21

Ella is noisy as well Lupins! Snuffle, grunt, hiccup, suck hand, make rooting noise, snuffle etc Then there is the noise that makes you think they have been sick! GO TO SLEEP!

Went to bed at 9pm last night and she woke at 10, 1-2, 5.30 (ds woke at this time also) and 8.30am. I can get her to sleep in her moses basket at the 10pm feed but after that she pretty much refuses to sleep when you put her down but will sleep if she is lying on me - not massively comfortable. I know we should let her get herself off to sleep but we are so worried that if she makes too much noise then she will wake Jack and then thats the whole night up the swanny!

Lots of labour vibes to all you ladies.
Who's next??

drkgpink · 12/05/2007 09:59

One nosiy one hear too, gurgles, sneezes, smores and generally makes every noise going. I'm not awake to feed him just because he won't be quiet!!!

Better go the vicar is coming at half ten to sort out our service of thanksgiving for next sunday.

Just been trying to sort out a dress for my friend's hindu wedding on 10th june. should i wear hindi clothes or my dress, can i expose shoulders, I'm not sure??? Oh help!!

scootermum · 12/05/2007 10:41

I think shoulders might be not the thing at a hindit wedding but not sure..will refer to back copy of Grazia and check Liz Hurleys wedding to see..(or that might have been Muslim wedding..will ask my Dad-he grew up in India and knows all about this kind of thing allegedly)

Knock down Coles?!!But its an institution!I am outraged..

Well have been having either BH or labour pains since about 4 am and feel sick as a pike..DH is at the library revising so if it is labour will have to go and hoik him out en route to the hospital..Lily is preparing to boil the water just in case!

Newborn babies are surprsisingly noisy arent they when they are asleep etc..For the first 6 weeks or so Lily would only ever sleep on my chest April, but after that she was ok, so am sure Ella will come right in the end and settle off in her basket.think same will be true with Mae so as, as you say to do some damage limitation with regards to waking t'other..

Must go and clean and spruce up for viewings..both myself and the house, I look grim this morning..hope my waters dont break as am showing people round, might put them off lol..

oh, glad it went well at Dr's MKG..Be glad of the paper, nothing more painful than when your skin sticks to something leather..

scootermum · 12/05/2007 10:42

Which sounds quite pervy, but I was thinking more of dr's couches etc..which still sounds a bit pervy..oh im going before I get myself in any more bother!

Have a nice day all..

largeginandtonic · 12/05/2007 11:00

FFS is EVERYONE going in to labour but me!!!!!!!!!

Am going out and im not coming back till i have at least some labour twinges.......DH did a DIY sweep last night. No show nothing.......DD arrived the day before her due date, that is today. I keep looking at the moses basket and pram wistfully.

DRPINK it does take forever when you are out with a baby doesnt it. I remember taking all day in town to do a few shops between the nappies and feeding etc.... My best tip for it is take bottles of water with you, if you are breasfeeding it makes such a difference to your milk supply (not to mention dying of thirst) if you dont keep drinking.

Noisy babies at night, good lord how can something soooo small make such a racket? You forget these things till they come out!

We are back on the baby names book, i need a couple more names incase he comes out not looking at all Beau like. It is not going well.....

cinnamontam · 12/05/2007 11:02

Congratulations Creena, Cam and SOH. So glad to hear your LO's have arrived safely

Mrsjaffabiffa · 12/05/2007 12:04

Hello everyone, sorry no time to read it all throughly, have skimmed through and glad all seem ok. MKG glad you are still around.

lg&t, I'm not going into Labour anytime soon, I'm sure of it. I can't decide what to do on Tuesday when I see the midwife? She'll ask me if I want to plan an induction? I really can't decide. part of me says yes try to plan it for the end of the week which would be due date, the other part says there's really no hurry just wait and see, but then I'll be pissed if I don't go into Labour and have to have an induction the week after anyway????? Might just have well got on with it 10days prior. Ohhhh decisions decisions.

Must go, it's my party so I'll cry if I want to. Have cooking to do and chairs to move around etc....

Have a good day all. Wish you were all here.

LupinsBigLump · 12/05/2007 12:30

AM you are not alone in the whatever makes you and therefore me sleep well situation, Arlen is much easier to settle on my chest, he doesnt seem to find his crib all that comfy, last night he woke at 9.30 fed him, got myself ready for bed and he was still awake, he didnt nod off till gone 11 then woke again at 1.45 then at 3.15 then 4.30 then dd came in at 7 grrrrrr, got up at 8, all this and when he does sleep he is sooo flippin noisy ( glad mines not the only one)

I have tried keeping on with the bf a bit but hes just not getting it and i am only expressing about an ounce and he will guzzle 3 oz in a feed, am feeling bit sad about it but i havent got the time to express every 2/4hrs to increase milk supply and feed him do the house look after dd

Are there going to be any babies today!!!

Just picked up a matrix car seat from a lady who met me at wairose - off of ebay, off to try and fit it, I must have looked a right sight woman struggling with pushchair, dog, child, car seat and shopping, John Lewis are replacing my micralite with the latest 2007 model as I have had so many problems with this one but it means the car seat i bought wont fit, hence getting the matrix as it will fit on powertrack should i need a travel system for a day - oh the joys of buggy ownership!!

Have a good day all

MKG · 12/05/2007 13:35

Morning everyone. Is anyone going to have a baby this weekend?
