Hi everyone and thanks to all who sent good wishes and positive birthing vibes!

We're back home now and settling in fine - my little Conor Francis is just the most perfect and peachy little man. He's smaller than I'm used to at 6lb 3oz but not bad at 3 weeks early. Trying to get breast feeding established but perservering with it. Any ideas on if and when it will stop feeling like I've got red hot pokers piercing thtough my nipples??!!

Birth was fast but I was let down by the hospital; am thinking of writing a letter of complaint. Long story so will share some other time once my 'brain fug' has cleared.

Hope everyone is keeping well and getting plenty of feet up time. Looking forward to some more birth announcements!

Oh! Just saw SOH's news. Congratulations to both Mrs and Mrs SOH on the arrival of Matilda! This is so exciting - who's going to be next?!

sorted out washing, made spare bed, did other assorted tidying and putting away jobs in preparation for arrival of cleaner. just had text from said cleaner...apparently she is ill but will come monday instead. bugger....suppose i better get hoover out myself. or maybe not...might wait til after dh finished putting all the baby gear together tomorrow as hes bound to make a mess. im seriously considering giving shower a good scrub tho. give it 15 mins and see if my back stops aching first tho....

I am feeling very unreasonable today. Rang a spa/ beauty salon yeserday afternoon to make an appt for a brazillian wax, manicure and pedicure. Told them I was pregnant and they might want to leave a bit of extra time for the wax as I can't lie on my stomach if they need me to. (The place I go to near my office are more than happy to wax ladies in their 8th month... The owner of the place was having hers done the last time I was in, the week she was due to give birth.) Was told they'd have to phone me back. Called back and said the "therapist said I would be more comfortable having a regular bikini wax". Oh really? Cow. I had one a couple of months ago. Means she didn't want to be bothered doing it. Told them to bugger off. Rang the other place down the road asked for regular bikini wax (they don't do brazillians anyway), manicure and pedicure either today or tomorrow and was LAUGHED AT down the phone, "Ha! We're completely booked up today and tomorrow." DOn't frickin' LAUGH at me you b'tch. How about "I'm terribly sorry, but we're fully booked." FFS. Will boycott in future. Harrumph.

Sorry. Highly irrelevant stuff. I'm just in a bad mood. Tsk.

TYG - what's wrong with these people. You can't get decent service anywhere these days. Much kuodos to the brazilian - I'm scared enough about my normal wax on Tuesday.

SO I've now had a huge roast dinner, a caramel McFlurry and a packet of crisps. I am going to have an extra stone to lose before I have her next Thursday at this rate. Oh well, my Davina McCall video arrived before. Its still in the cellophane though.

Rang the place in the City and am going down on Monday afternoon. They were VERY pleased to hear from me. Haven't been in in about 10 or 12 weeks and when I started to say my surname, the receptionist said, "Oh Hiiiii, how are you? So nice to hear from you." Feel marginally better. Am now torn between being pleased about going to get pampered and wanting to give birth before Monday. What a muppet. I need sedating until this baby comes. I am going to make everyone's life miserable otherwise.

Gawd, I'm bored. Should have gone out today and done something to take my mind off things.

Don't get too mad a lot of places here won't do Brazilians on pregnant women. Something to do with skin irritation in the nether regions.

Hmm... Suppose. Mind you, I was already annoyed with the first place before we even had that conversation. I've been once before so I know I'm on the "system". Receptionist asked my name and I told her and said, "that's spellled..." and she interrupted and goes, "Can you spell that?" TYG repeats, "That's spelled..." Receptionist repeats it back to me completely wrong. TYG spells surname (two very simple surnames put together) in RADIO ALPHABET so there can be no mistake. Recptionist repeats it back wrong again. TYG gets really miffed and says, "No, not N, O. O for October." And receptionist repeats it wrong again. I kid you not. And this was an English girl. I mean, I can't even excuse it on the basis of her being foreign. Gagh!

Anyway, am being "done" on Monday, provided I am still pregnant. Hehehe.

Well ive been gone for about 5 hours
and missed not one but three babies!Thank Goodness news of SOH at last and hurrah for the safe, if not quite the way planned arrival of Mathilda..doesnt matter how they come in the end really I guess as long as they get here safe...(but sorry it didnt go to plan SOH)
And congrats to Cam and Creena too-both such nice names..a red letter day on the May thread today!Feel quite teary..Will eat some Caramel to toast the new babies..

Ruddy beautician-they can be so supersillious sometimes TYG..as if you are doing them a ruddy favour going..the hairdressers in Ware is like that as well...gets my goat it really does..

DD has just broken our landline phone by lobbing it on the floor..so now literally no means of communicating with the outside world except by 'Puter or by walking up the hill top with my flags..So am hoping I dont need to call the labour ward before I get a new one tomorrow..

DD has been very good today though I must say after the horrors of yesterday and I feel quite chipper..
The lesbians who came round the house have been back and say they will put an offer in as soon as theirs is sold, they have a second viewing today on their one, and the other people who are interested but on holiday have dropped the asking price on theirs, over the phone from Marbella or wherever they are, with a view to selling theirs quicker so they can have ours..plus we have 6 viewings tomorrow so all a bit more cheery on that front too..(although this means cleaning will be needed)

What are you doing next week on Friday MadeinDevon-going to Welwyn to see a friend anyway so do you want to meet up at John Lewis or somewhere after Ive seen her?(Assuming no babies by then)

Cant be long now largegandt..get the rev DH to have a word with him upstairs..odds on you or MKG next I reckon..and TYG directly shes returned from being pampered next week!

Feel alot more relaxed now there has been some babies..but what of Anemne I wonder?

I have no patience whatsoever lately, is anyone else the same? The tiniest little things seem to be really getting to me. I guess im just getting very fed up with these last few weeks dragging by (i keep telling myself its only 11 days to EDD but its still seems too long) It doesnt help that the boys seem to be constantly arguing at the moment and ds2 has got very clingy to either me or Dh depending on his mood. He is still messing about at pre-school and i feel so horrible leaving him there bawling his eyes out even though i know that within a couple of minutes of me going he is fine.

My back is absolutely killing me today, i think i may have overdone it with all the painting last night and then to top it off Ive spent the afternoon on my hands and knees trying to defrost our freezer. I must be mad. Dh was going to do it but hes been finishing off the hall. Im so pleased with it even though the flooring isnt down yet, FIL is coming round tomorrow to do it. As of tomorrow i will have the hall ive been waiting 3yrs for (better late than never i guess lol)

My parents go away 3am tomorrow morning and i so do not envy them, they are catching the Dover-Calais ferry and driving through to Holland, I can just imagine how nice and rough the sea is going to be lol.
