GO SOH!

Pinkjenny · 10/05/2007 11:47

This is so exciting! People are having babies and making soup - its all going on!!! I have a ridiculous smile on my face!!!

And I've eaten two lollipops, bran flakes and toast if we're all counting.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/05/2007 11:48

I will text you AM.

ShowOfHands · 10/05/2007 12:25

Don't think you'll miss anything TYG.

SOH is 2-3 cm Dilated. We're now running a book on when Mathilda will arrive, I've got dibs on 12O'Clock.

scootermum · 10/05/2007 12:28

How is she bearing up?
Im having 10 o clock then...

InTheseShoes · 10/05/2007 12:30

Go SOH! So excited for you and Mr SOH, it's like Living TV on here but for real!

I am having such a crappy day, and the SOH family are really cheering me up! SOH, should you name her Matilda Antonia after Mr Blair and his resignation right as you are in the middle of labour?? ducks to avoid flying poo sieve sent over by mid-contraction SOH

InTheseShoes · 10/05/2007 12:33

Hmmmm... betting on timing, well, I have to go for lunch with DH later (of all the days for him to suggest it!!) and then pop into work and then it's swimming lessons for ds. I promised ds that he can have his tea at the leisure centre, so... I'll be back about 5.30-6.00pm, and SOH will HAVE to hold on until I return - how about 7pm for me, please?

daisybump · 10/05/2007 12:37

Popping in from the June thread to say....go for it SOH...how very exciting.

twelveyeargap · 10/05/2007 12:37

Lots of positve thoughts going your way Mr and Mrs SOH. Remember that just because it's taken x number of hours to get to 3cm, doesn't mean that it will take the same number of hours to get to 6, if you see what I mean. Every contraction is one contraction closer to meetng Mathilda.

Off to get some pins stuck in me. Back in a bit.

cameroonmama · 10/05/2007 12:45

Great idea ITS, Mathilda Antonia

Please can Mathilda come before 3.30 this afternoon, because I have to go to the hospital at 4 for my c-section tomorrow

MrSOH, keep up the good work, we all have a lot of admiration for you, you set the husband standards very high you know. Is it true your brother can do the splits

scootermum · 10/05/2007 12:45

I have to g out in a little while too..bugger..wont be bbackm till about 5..TYG if you are back before then and anything has happened is there any chance of texting me?
Good luck being a pin cushion...

And best of luck to the SOH's..x

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/05/2007 12:49

No, I agree. keep going strong SOH, each one is doing something good.

On times, I'm going for 8pm.

Come on SOH - we're all here for you! It'll all be worth it in the end.xx

Cam - on a selfish note, can you try and post before I go in next Thurs and tell me how your c-section goes? I'm slightly nervous that nobody has given me any positive vibes but I don't know what to expect!

Just making lunch and then must do my hair - its all so inconvenient when people are giving birth!!!

SmilingKiwi · 10/05/2007 12:52
cameroonmama · 10/05/2007 12:53

not as much as "cooking" my baby tho. lots of wiggling about this morning. still enjoying being pregnant but looking fwd to actually meeting baby now. 13 days til due day....

madeindevon2 · 10/05/2007 13:00

come on matilda mr and mrs SOH cant wait to meet you too! im gonna say 9pm...
keep up that back massage mr SOH!!!

cameroonmama · 10/05/2007 13:01

Pink, I have had 2 emergency sections, the first time was a bit scary, the second time was really good, and this time, dare I say it, I am looking forward to it! If its an elective it is very calm, you can listen to your own cd, dh is with you in scrubs and it takes about 5 mins to get the baby out and about 45 to stitch you up again, so you are totally engrossed in looking at your gorgeous bundle of joy while they stitch you up. My recovery was super fast, though I stayed in for 5 days each time, this time I will stay only for 3 days. In fact I went back to Africa after 10 days with both of my babies, 6/8 hour plane journeys, with no problems, not advisable, though I'm sure you won't even be considering it

cameroonmama · 10/05/2007 13:08

MrsJB its bouncing my email back! Can you reach me on stephensonkuk at yahoo dot co dot uk?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/05/2007 13:13
