Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
aprilmeadow · 10/05/2007 09:24

dont worry lg&t i can get in the car and strap soh's dh to the chair to make sure he doesnt move

aprilmeadow · 10/05/2007 09:26

I was supposed to be going out and about today, but now with all this excitement i am going to have to sit in front of laptop with baby strapped to boob to make sure that i dont miss out on the annoucement of the 17lb piglet that is making her way into the world..

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2007 09:27

Right am going to straighten my hair, i am taking my mobile with me SOH, but not the donuts ( ihave eaten 3 already ) Shall i call when his head is out to tell you what to do next? Have you got speaker phone? Good lord woman, i may go in to labour at this rate......

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2007 09:30

AM i sincerely hope it is not a 17lb piglet, i have no experience delivering those. Lets pray it's a cute 7lb 4oz Mathilda.

Am afraid to leave the pc.......

aprilmeadow · 10/05/2007 09:41

7lb 4oz sounds like the perfect size

Ok i am going to tear myself away from laptop to go shower and then i will come back down and check in.

Lg&t is going to go into labour with the excitement and i will lose about a stone running up and down 2 flights of stairs to keep checking on SOH.

Pinkjenny · 10/05/2007 09:42

My laptop keeps crashing - I don't think it can handle the excitement!!!

cameroonmama · 10/05/2007 09:47

Oh the excitement! Back from the school run and its really kicking off, don't let that dh out of your sight, no, no, no he is not to go to work at lunchtime, besides doesn't he have a pool to fill?

ShowOfHands · 10/05/2007 09:52

Been for a shower, that helped for about five minutes. I need DH to come home and sort the pool out, what's the betting I'm dilated about half a cm after all this? Midwife said to call as soon as I needed her, she's about 3mins away. I'd be mortified if I called and nothing was actually happening.

Oh ffs, the cat's brought me a mouse.

aprilmeadow · 10/05/2007 09:54

aww she knows that something is happening Our cat rascal brought in a rabbit when we got home with ds - NICE

twelveyeargap · 10/05/2007 09:54

I go away and get a decent night's kip and I bloody miss everything!

SOH, when DH gets back, you are not, under any circumstances, to let him go anywhere else. OK? Bloody stupid job asking him to go in. Absolutely not.

8 mins apart is good. It's progress. Once they're 5 mins apart you can get in the pool. Oh I'm so excited for you!

Elkiedee and Benson - Many congratulations. Very much looking forward to pics and details.

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2007 09:58

Am doing my hair in the dinning room, wish the lap top had automatic 'refresh' on it.....

I can see it in the mirror. Am going for coffee with my mother this morning at her posh health club. Im taking my phone and keeping hold of it!

Is J home yet?

madeindevon2 · 10/05/2007 10:01

wow its all going on! wish i had logged on earlier!
congratulations to those with their new arrivals and now all eyes on SOH!! exciting stuff....
i too was awake v early. just before 4 it was....also have a loud pigeon on the chimney! then went to loo. then went to loo again (why do i need no2 at this time in the morning on a regular basis? its just not right....) anyway couldnt get back to sleep. hubby alarm went off at 5.15 ....im still awake so i get up and make him a cup of tea, give him lots of sympathy as hes got a head cold apparently....and then he gives himself a massive cut shaving....more sympathetic noises and offer to drive him to station (its only a mile!) but he looks downtrodden this morning and i know hes got stressful day with one of employees today. anyway back to bed just after 6. decide to carry on reading baby whisperer book. eventually drop back off to sleep...8am someone at the door. parcel for hubby....back to bed 8.45 another knock at door...another parcel for hubby....i wish he had never discovered ebay! i keep trying to declutter house and he keeps buying more crap! help! given up trying to sleep now.
anyway. im up now. and "on call" for my brother in law who is having sky installed today. engineeer calling me when he arrives....they live 200 yards up road from me....so just have to waddle up there asap.

ShowOfHands · 10/05/2007 10:04

Where the hell is he? Just tried to do the washing up, got through a cup and a spoon and had to crawl round on hands and knees for five minutes. Pathetic.

DH stubbed his toe this morning and wanted sympathy...

madeindevon2 · 10/05/2007 10:05

LGand T ....ive been told that the glue they use is actually virtually identical to superglue! seriously.... my cousins mate at uni did actually use it and survived and doesnt even have a scar. ("drinking" injury at uni.....cut head....just put superglue in it and went to bed...alive to tell the tale and healed without scar!)

Lwatkins · 10/05/2007 10:06

SICK OF BEING PREGNANT!

Told you it wouldn't last, been home less than a week and I'm already pulling my sodding hair out! I don't think I've ever felt this frustrated, 38 weeks today. How am I gonna survive another 2? If I show signs of going overdue I've decied to go in there myself with some salad tongs and get her out.

Oh I'm such a grump, I'm in a foul mood. This bloody itching is driving me mad, it's really bad. My heartburn is killing, I'm tired, nothing in the house looks good to eat - want Gregs. Why has time suddenly slowed right down? People keep ringing, texting and emailing me with 'how are you feeling, oh she'll come in her own time' messages. As if I need reminding that I haven't popped her out yet and I am in fact, still pregnant with weeks to go!!!

Might walk into town and do a few things, but the thought of walking all the way there.....oh god! Makes me yawn just thinking about it. But I could get Gregs, mmmmmm Gregs.

SOH? Having a baby? Get your dh home woman!

twelveyeargap · 10/05/2007 10:06

He's only been gone an hour SOH (going by your posting times.) Seems like forever to you, but he might not have noticed. He'll be back soon, don't worry.

scootermum · 10/05/2007 10:08

sent him to the tip?!!!

When he gets back, tell him to refuse to leave SOH's side largandt, whatever she says..have you his number?!

Oh its so exciting...is the midwife coming directly..

Lily has just eaten a yoghurt all on her own as I am glued to the PC catching up...Dont know what to be more excited about, DD's developmental 'milestone' or SOH about to deliver her piglet!!

madeindevon2 · 10/05/2007 10:08

SOH . keep calling dh....keep pressing redial...get him home asap! you defo need your back massaging now. at my antenatal class they said a glass of wine would relax you in early labour but not sure i would fancy one at 10am!?

scootermum · 10/05/2007 10:10

washing up?!!!

scootermum · 10/05/2007 10:10

Have one!Every little helps!

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2007 10:12

Am evil mummy MaidinDevon (feels funny typing that actually being in Devon) sent him to school saying it's ok, heads bleed alot. Sure he will be fine, may use the superglue at a later date for one of the others. Hugo was the last one to be 'glued' in the new shopping center in town. He fell and hit his forehead!

SOH DH is home, phew!

twelveyeargap · 10/05/2007 10:12

SOH has her DH's mobile, she doesn't own one herself, so he's uncontactable. And she doens't drink...

scootermum · 10/05/2007 10:15

Thank Goodness..

You are right TYG, and I knew both of those things..You are very cool headed..am slightly overexcited can you tell?!Imagine the flap I will get in when my labour starts!

largeginandtonic · 10/05/2007 10:15

She has his mobile so couldnt phone him. Crazy lentil weaving lady.....

J if you read this please do not listen to your dw anymore. Stay next to her and get the pool run. She is in labour and needs a midwife soon, it is not indigestion!

scootermum · 10/05/2007 10:15

A dr once told me that about the superglue as well..I cant believe it though, surely not...heads do bleed alot though...
