Oh no @FallenAngel82 ! @Katievb you had VIP service! I think they only spoke to me because I used the word "bleeding" when I rang!

I'm hugely relieved my symptoms have been improving and I'm back to a more normal rosy pink discharge. Happy to share the story via PM for anyone in a similar position but no point worrying anyone by posting it here. Suffice to say, having had light "period" level bleeding for two days it seems possible to have that and be okay! TBC for sure by next Mon.

I probably ought to phone the surgery and get myself hooked up to a midwife but I seem to have accidentally circumvented that!

betsy2018 · 08/02/2018 12:48

Hi can I join ladies, never posted before but was lurking while ttc. Got bfp Sunday showing 2-3 weeks estimated to be due 4th October. Seems all very surreal and it's been a very slow week. Booking in appointment 2nd March so see what happens then. Do I need to book scan separately or will they do that?

FallenAngel82 · 08/02/2018 13:32

@betsy280 from what I understand at the booking appointment you will be given a date for your dating scan. Congratulations! I'm also due around the same time as you are though still waiting for a booking appointment date.

betsy2018 · 08/02/2018 18:59

Ah thanks for the info, I will wait till the booking in then, this will hopefully be our first. Feeling very anxious at the moment. Trying to think positive as no reason not to so far!

Millipede170 · 08/02/2018 19:51

@kayleigh I sent you an FB friend request, initials are LM. Could you add me to the group? Thanks x

SaintExupery · 08/02/2018 20:46

Hello everyone! Tentatively joining you. Got my bfp at the weekend - think I’m 4+4 today, edd 15/10/18. I have a history of miscarriage including a molar but my last pregnancy, in 2016, sucessfully resulted in dd so I am feeling wildly optimistic that this one will be fine too!

ladydolly · 08/02/2018 21:27

I'm loving the positivity on the thread! I'm 6w tomorrow, 9 days until my scan to see what's going on. Some days I'm sure it's all fine and looking forward to being a family of 4, some days I'm too busy to even remember I'm pregnant, some days I'm convinced it will all go wrong again, mostly because the nausea is just not that bad, but the test lines are very dark so there's plenty of HCG flowing! Time will tell.

Just getting over a hideous cold, been off work a couple of days, given me the excuse to rest a little.

I had my booking in at 4+4, then told to book my bloods apt, I had to go 3 times! The first time I hadn't got the form that showed was tests were needed, the 2nd time I didn't have the signed booking in form with me. 3rd time lucky! So my guys take the admin pretty seriously!

beckya82 · 09/02/2018 01:07

@DwangelaForever hiya ladies. I'm expecting my first baby on 19th October and would love to join the fb group. Initials are RA.

Very excited but very nervous reading so many stories of mc and praying I'll be lucky. Smile looking forward to sharing the journey with you girls 😘😘😘

Dragonandthewolf · 09/02/2018 10:03

Has everyone gone to the fb group?
I’m 4+1 today so seems a bit early to go into the group just in case I know someone! (Unlikely I know!)

Dragonandthewolf · 09/02/2018 10:06

Wow @lady your area are very on the ball! The process here is to declare at GP, who refer you to Midwife. Midwife will then cal you to book in the appointment.
My local GP is so stretched I’ll ask reception whether I can self refer as it seems a waste of GP time.

Dragonandthewolf · 09/02/2018 10:07

There also appears to be two fb groups... which one is better? Grin or can I join both? I’d hate to miss out on any local mums in either groups.

Coffee3 · 09/02/2018 10:10

@dragonandthewolf we refer online to midwives here; they are very quick to reply to you - I completed online form on Sunday evening and they called Monday morning!
I picked an appointment around my work and for 10 weeks because of previous mc I didn’t want to have to call back and cancel ☹️
Oh and I also feel the fb groups are a step towards counting ones chickens so I’ll be staying firmly on mumsnet for now!

Dragonandthewolf · 09/02/2018 10:15

@coffee wow very fast!
This is baby no2 and I’m so much more relaxed and so much less anxious. I may not call the GP for another couple of weeks, just in case something happens.
Sorry to hear about your mc. How far along are you?

AlwaysSpellingMyName · 09/02/2018 10:55

Hi all can I join? I'm approx 6 weeks today, EDD 6/10/18. DC3. Have booking appointment in 3 weeks and scan on 27th March so will get exact measurements then 😁

Currently feeling very nauseous which won't budge

Ubercornsdiscoball · 09/02/2018 11:43

My scan is 27th March too. Ages away!

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 09/02/2018 11:49

Just made my first midwife appointment for 22nd Feb, eek!

We can also self refer for a booking scan but I've a few things I want to chat with her about so thought I'd see my community midwife first.

JuniperKane · 09/02/2018 12:48

I’m 5+2 today and have my first GP appointment later, this is all brand new to me so is there anything particular I should ask them or anything specific to expect?

DwangelaForever · 09/02/2018 16:03

So I finally got round to seeing my doctor and getting referred on to maternity. Patiently waiting for my appointment now. He was very understanding about my anxiety and actually told me to take extra folic acid (due to my BMI) unlike my first pregnancy where no one told me til I was nearly 13 weeks 😡

frankiefumbles · 09/02/2018 18:49

Didn't quite go as I hoped. Turns out what I've got is a fairly normal but super late period, I must have had a very low level of HCG which just got picked up when I tested 7 days after my period due date and now the HCG has dropped. Definitely nothing in there and what I thought was bleeding was simply a super super late period. That's me out but wishing you all love and luck - I'll be on another baby bus soon with any luck 😊 x

Kayleigh1986 · 09/02/2018 18:53

@Dragonandthewolf you can join both groups lovely, they are only small groups, mine has about 50 members so highly unlikely you'll know anyone xxx

Kayleigh1986 · 09/02/2018 18:55

@DwangelaForever I'm overweight so maybe I should be taking extra folic acid too, I wish I'd hear back from the midwife!

@frankiefumbles I'm so sorry to hear this. Best of luck in the future lovely xxx

DwangelaForever · 09/02/2018 19:41

@Kayleigh1986 yeah my dr and the consultant last time said over a certain BMI and you should take extra folic acid, not sure of the exact amount xx

DwangelaForever · 09/02/2018 19:42

Sorry for your loss @frankiefumbles 💔

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 09/02/2018 20:27

I took a larger dose of folic acid in my first pregnancy, but I can't remember the exact amount. Until I see the midwife I'm taking a pregnancy multivitamin and an extra folic acid tablet so hopefully it's enough.

HoneyCake86 · 09/02/2018 21:34

Had my scan today (in case you arent on the fb group). So far so good, i have a 3mm (head to bum) pip with heartbeat flashing away ❤️ 6 + 2
