I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well Grin
Feeling quite anxious today because of mild cramps I've been having the last couple of days.
Also ridiculously nauseous and light headed all the time.
Work took it well though. My manager gave me a hug and said I don't need to worry about my job (there's talk of redundancies) because I'm ace Blush

jellymum1704 · 08/11/2017 18:18

Hi All, Can I join please? Smile I’m 7 weeks , I think. My periods are about 32 days apart so might be a bit off I think. I have a DS 2.7 now , trying to keep him off jumping on me which he loves so much. Unlike last time I don’t feel sick or nauseous so a bit worried that the scan might not find anything. But then the previous time I had the worst MS and heartburn at 8 weeks so hoping it’s slightly better this time.

lgh05 · 08/11/2017 18:39

Yeah @Lovenluck there is a quite a lot of us and we have a pinned post of usernames- EDD and how many children/if any. So it’s really helpful. It is definitely secret. It was so secret even with an invite I struggled to joins I got my friend who knows about my pregnancy to go onto my newsfeed and search my groups and see if she could see anything and she couldn’t. All of us on the group would have been outed by now by all fb friends if anyone could see what we post. :-)

lgh05 · 08/11/2017 18:46

@Lovenluck I contacted my midwife as soon as I had missed AF, and within a few days had a booking appointment made (I will be 8 weeks) have my dating scan booked for December. So i would just contact them sooner rather than later so you are on some sort of list.

With regards to tell DD (who’s very nearly 4) I am going to go for an early scan next week, when we see the heart beat I think we will then tell her, as soon as she knows we will tell parents. (A few very close friends already know).

My symptoms have been coming and going the only thing that is consistent is tender boobs/nipples since 3/4 weeks. Sickness is going on and off, as well as insomnia and headaches.

Peanutty86 · 08/11/2017 20:41

6 weeks today too.
No sickness. Cramps have calmed down a bit but still feel them occasionally. Slept ok for about 5 nights (no more waking up being wide awake at 3am...). Just generally tired and I get kind of down feeling in the afternoon, which scares me a bit. Boobs still bigger but a little less tender than yesterday. Bit worried today as I feel symptoms have calmed down. Terribly bloated for the last 3 days though. I look 4 months along....

lgh05 · 08/11/2017 21:05

@Peanutty86 I have also stopped waking up at 3 am and actually sleep through, my mood dips around 3/4 and I feel shattered. But yeah symptoms are just off and on! Quite odd really!

18mnthsandcounting · 08/11/2017 21:42

Mine are on and off too! First time I’ve been sick today but no longer have sore boobs 😕 odd!

MamaDuckling · 09/11/2017 04:00

My boobs are killing me! Far more than any of my other pregnancies!

pennyw85 · 09/11/2017 06:27

I’m similar to other posters - sore boobs for the past week and have been waking up at 4am until today. I’m dreading getting morning sickness, I had it really bad with DD1 and I’m really hoping I have better luck this time!

Lilychouchou · 09/11/2017 07:01

Congratulations to our newcomers Flowers

Today marks two weeks since I got my BFP - the longest weeks ever!

I'm still having an upset stomach in the mornings. Might be the stress or could be hormones I suppose - always fine the rest of the day.

I think we should all be reassured that all of our symptoms are fluctuating so much, it's clearly normal. If only there was a little teletubby window so you could have a look and reassure yourself all was fine!

Bluebirdsky · 09/11/2017 07:22

Morning everyone Smile
Congratulations and welcome to all of those with a new BFP Flowers
I got a little worried last night as I felt like my symptoms had gone, no pain, less tired and no nausea.
Should have been careful what I wished for as I have woken up this morning feeling sick as a pig!
I am away with work so trying to get through, wearing my sea bands which is helping but going to look a bit odd/obvious to my colleagues!

EmEarley · 09/11/2017 07:56

Hi Everyone,

Wondering if I can join the group! I’m not up to date with the lingo though, so sorry if I’m slow!

This is my second pregnancy but will be my first child. About 8 weeks ago I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have surgery to remove my right Fallopian tube. However exactly 8 weeks to the day, the day AF was due, we found out we were pregnant Grin

Due around 16th July, me and my husband are very excited, but I’m still in shock I think, and just can’t wait for an early scan to make sure everything is on track.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 09/11/2017 08:45

Hello Everyone! Can i join?
Congrats to you all :)
I'm 25, I have a dd who is 21months old. Been with my dp 10 years
This is our 4th pregnancy and im 4+1 due around the 18th of July. I lost my last 2 pregnancies at 5 and 12+5 weeks. This was my first proper cycle since my last mc which was on the 8th of sep where i had a natural mc on holiday in Spain. So even though I'm happy i know its early days and anything can happen! But as someone told me, Today i am pregnant.
Lots of luck to everyone xx

OHMoll · 09/11/2017 09:12

Morning Ladies! Congratulations to all. I had my BFP two weeks ago today. Have had terrible morning afternoon and evening sickness. Can't face food at all. Also seems like I am sleeping my life away. My DH and I have been trying for over two years. We had been looking at IVF but I had to lose some weight to qualify. We are both over the moon but so cautious. Has anyone else felt very sick?

Boboelephant · 09/11/2017 10:57

Congratulations to all the new bfp'ers!

So I had my second scan today at the EGU and baby is in the womb!!!!! 😁😁🎉🌈

She said that when baby implants you can see bruising on the early scans and she could see that so all looks good! So excited!! Although now I'm no longer a high risk for ectopic I have to wait until 12 weeks for the next scan which will feel a very long time away!

She has put me at 5 weeks 3 days today. 😀

EmEarley · 09/11/2017 13:22

@Boboelephant that’s such wonderful news, gives me hope that I’ll be hearing/seeing the same results soon!

Xx

Usernamechecksout · 09/11/2017 13:25

Hi all! Can I join please? Got a positive test yesterday and am 4 weeks now. Had a chemical pregnancy a couple of months ago, but got a stronger line this time so I’m tentatively joining this thread!

Boboelephant · 09/11/2017 13:36

@EmEarley Thankyou!!! xx It's a huge relief! I know how you feel as you question everything after the ectopic. Congratulations on falling pregnant again so quickly! 😀 Do you know when your scan is?

EmEarley · 09/11/2017 13:47

@Boboelephant thank you very much!

I rang my GP on Tuesday and haven’t heard back yet, said he will phone me tomorrow, so I’m hoping I get my reassurance scan soon! I was told it would be at 8 weeks (which feels like forever away) but fingers crossed I’ll know more tomorrow and I don’t have to wait that long, other wise we may pay for a private one!?
Xx

Boboelephant · 09/11/2017 13:56

@EmEarley I would think you should be offered one sooner after having ectopic. I was booked in straight away at 5 weeks. I went on Tuesday but they couldn't see baby yet so took bloods and then booked me 48 hours later.
After my rupture the hospital surgeon said I should get scans at 5-6 weeks for any further pregnancies . It might be worth chasing that up. Do you know how far along you were last time? Xx

EmEarley · 09/11/2017 14:03

@Boboelephant that’s what I thought, but seems as I’ve not had any bleeds or stomach pains I’m not classed as at risk! I have one good tube left, you’d think I’d be high risk until they’ve had a look!?

I’m not sure, I think I was about 5 weeks but my surgeon wrote and said I was 8 weeks!? It was all very strange first time round, and at the moment the beginning of this pregnancy is the complete opposite, which I can only take as good news at this early stage

Xx

Boboelephant · 09/11/2017 14:12

@EmEarley I so hope that everything goes well for you with this pregnancy and this bub is in the right place!
BUT I really think you should be extra cautious and the info you've been given sounds very odd. As soon as you have had an ectopic you are a high risk pregnancy and at risk of it happening again hence the early scan. They can rupture from 5 weeks so docs should be scanning early so this doesn't happen again! My remaining tube and ovaries looked great too but that didn't take away the fact that I was advised to have early scans esp as I ruptured at 7 weeks. Can you ask a different GP? Or contact the EPU for advice?
I don't want to scare you as I'm sure it'll be fine, but you deserve peace of mind xx

EmEarley · 09/11/2017 14:36

@Boboelephant the EPU was the first place I contacted and they said I needed to speak to antenatal, who then told me to speak to my GP, so I’ve been passed around! EPU were also the ones who told me it would be an 8 wee scan and not before and they would only see me by referral from my GP, and that’s if I was showing signs of miscarriage etc!?

I’ll wait until tomorrow and if I don’t hear back by lunch time I’ll chase them up! But I’m new to all of this so don’t know what’s right or wrong, so I’m glad I’ve found people like you who can steer me in the right direction xx

Boboelephant · 09/11/2017 14:44

@EmEarley that's so tricky. Can you get an emergency appointment at your GP to discuss? EPU's do need GP referrals but I have never heard of the 8 week rule. In fact everything I've read about ectopic histories, say the scan should be by 6 weeks. I also had no bad symptoms- no cramps or bleeding- and have not had a miscarriage. Hopefully your GP can do you an early referral. Depending on where you live maybe you could be referred to a different EPU?
Just remember you are entitled to know your baby is safe and that you are safe! You are not asking for anything drastic. xx
