I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Just had my gp appointment. She took my blood pressure, weight and tested my wee for sugar/protein and then referred me. Gotta wait till 12 weeks now. Nice to get the ball rolling through

Am now 6 weeks gone with my first and am feeling very anxious. It's too early to be telling people and I have had no contact from a midwife so I am feeling very alone and confused at the moment.

Does anyone know when I should expect first contact from a midwife (I informed my GP almost 2 weeks ago and they said they refer me to a midwife)?

Bear try not to worry about the BD digital - they are notoriously fickle - my MW wants them banned!

Cardiff Midwife booking in appts are usually when you're about 8 weeks. Can you book directly with the midwife through reception?

Great that theres a few other homebirthers here, I had a homebirth with my first and it was great! Hope to have another if everything goes smoothly.

Good luck everyone I hope everything goes well for you all, just been to my GP who is referring me to the mid wife hopefully soon.

Also been very hormonal today and yesterday, I made my dp jump yesterday, in my defence it wasn't on purpose but the hoover wasn't working I think he was shocked when he opened the door and i was stood waving it around like a man woman, and I started to cry because I felt bad.

Congrats @enwi, I went to my dr this morning about some pain on the left hand side of my abdomen, thought he'd just say it was gas or something, and he took it so seriously and sent me to the surgical triage unit at hospital! They took bloody tests, urine sample, heart rate (which was really high at 110!) and i've got to go back tomorrow for an ultrasound! DH is so worried and i'm actually quite relaxed for once! x

Well there is a fluid sac in the uterus that they think is the pregnancy but it is empty at the moment as I am only about 5 weeks.
They couldn't see anything suspicious in the tubes so really hoping it's a uterine pregnancy.
I have had bloods for beta hcg levels today and having them repeated on Monday and Wednesday to see if they rise.
Having a repeat scan in two weeks.
Keeping everything crossed.

@Peanutty86 it's Emma's Diary online, you register then get 3 packs that you pick up, ones like an intro one with some cream, and other little samples, ones nappies, and ones like nipple pads and other things you might need after baby is born! X

Fingers crossed Bluebird, I think that happens to lots of women. The idea of a two week wait must be torturous but keep the faith, sending lots of love x

Hi everyone, can I join? Just getting used to the idea that I am actually, finally pregnant after 2.5 years of trying. Feel weirdly full of dread, which is crazy (as dh keeps helpfully pointing out!) but otherwise pretty normal/ok I think - super sore boobs, crampy tummy, sore lower back and a bit burpy but like someone above, almost looking forward to nausea or sickness to reassure me I’m not imagining the whole thing! (I know, I know...) Est due date is 5 Jul but my periods have always been haywire so who knows.

I am getting anxious as I have had no contact from a midwife or anything yet. I am only 4+6 and I know an appointment is usually between 6-10 weeks but it seems like so many people have had contact already?!
I have filled a form in and been told someone will contact me but I don't know if I should be chasing this? Does anyone have any advice?

@dietcoke2020 I wouldn’t worry to much i am not seeing anyone/ been told to fill anything in till midwife at 8 weeks 🙂

Got a call from my midwife today after calling in to the Dr this week and leaving my details with the receptionist. My booking apt is for when I’m 9.5 weeks on 4th Dec which is ages to wait, and annoyingly i wonder if it will be too late by then to get my scan booked before Christmas :(

Oh man. 6 weeks today and the fatigue has hit. I was quite enjoying being almost symptomless :-/

Hello! Can I join? I'm actually already on the June bus but I made a mistake with my dates (because I'm an idiot and mixed up the colours for period and ovulation on my app) so I'm actually due in July! This is DC 2, already have a DD who was 2 a couple of weeks ago (same day as bfp!). Excited but also very freaked out about being a mum of 2!
