@Happyapples the amniotic sac protects the baby from infection. Which is why baths are not advised during labour if your waters have broken.

Is there concern about other infections? Is this risk higher with IVF/or during pregnancy? I've not heard of this.

McTufty · 27/09/2017 19:39

How did you get your hands on the suppositories? I'm really concerned about my progesterone because I conceived with a short luteal phase.

Lorz80 · 27/09/2017 19:59

Hi McTufty

I had Ivf/Pgd treatment so the suppositories were part of my treatment. I wonder if it's worth asking GP?

And me! 5th June :)

Happyapples · 27/09/2017 22:16

I’m not sure @bonnymnemonic ? Everyone’s clinics and hospitals seem to give different advice. Mine didn’t mention not having a bath so think I’ll carry on having them just not too hot as you said.
Hi and congrats to all who have joined recently x

Bubble04 · 28/09/2017 06:39

Anyone else waking up really early? Been up since 4.30 two days in a row now. Hoping it doesnt become a pattern...

WeasleyWoman · 28/09/2017 06:45

Have any of you told you GP/midwife yet? I feel too keen at 4weeks....

Zoo33 · 28/09/2017 06:46

Hi can I join this thread please? I've got one foot in the May thread but as I'm due 31 May I'm feeling a bit left behind. I see a couple of others on here are due 31 May too! It's my first.

I did the second Clear Blue in the pack this morning and am soooooo relieved to see it move to 3+ weeks!

McTufty · 28/09/2017 07:19

Welcome new members and congratulations on the BFPs! @zoo33 I am 27th May and felt left behind so totally get it for 31st May! I did a FRER last night and test line way stronger than control which was a big relief, didn't believe I was actually still pregnant! Maybe I'll get a digi to see if it has gone to 3+.

@weasleywoman I called my GP at 4 weeks just because I didn't know when you were meant to (it's my first) and I'm booked in next week, which will be just over six weeks. That's what they recommended.

@lorz80 I will ask about the progesterone, worth a go! Thanks.

@bubble04 I woke up at 4:30am this morning too😴😴

lampert · 28/09/2017 07:28

@Bubble04 yep, 5am every morning for the last 5 days! Grrrrr!!

I haven't called the dr surgery yet, I think I will wait until I'm 6 weeks.

Opensesame1 · 28/09/2017 07:35

I still have a second one left so I am going to keep it until early next week and check if it has moved on!! 😁

Zoo33 · 28/09/2017 07:47

Thanks @McTufty.

I always heard of women doing lots of tests to make sure they were still pregnant - never understood it until now! Not sure I can bring myself to go buy more though, I just couldn't leave the second one sitting there. 😬

I've got my GP appointment tomorrow. I rang to ask what to do having had a positive test but the receptionist ended up asking me if that meant I wanted to see a doctor - ummmm, you tell me?!

Bubble04 · 28/09/2017 08:15

Apparently where I live you just fill in a form and self refer direct with maternity services. It said to do it as early as poss, so did it yesterday. Felt ridiculous when I'm less than 4 weeks! Worried I'll jinx it

ladydolly · 28/09/2017 08:24

I had pregnancy insomnia last time and it's started again, I had a few 4.30 starts and now I've started waking for over an hour at 3am. It passed after the 1st trimester as I recall.

I have my midwife booking in appointment this morning. It feels very early but that's what they wanted.

I saw my friend briefly this morning, I'd told her by text yesterday and she just messaged me to say I def have that 'early pregnancy pale and puffy' thing going on. Eeeek, thought I just looked a bit tired! Pregnancy really doesn't suit me.

OP posts:
RockinRobinTweets · 28/09/2017 09:17

I've got my booking appointment on Tuesday. I've told work so that I can be out for a few hours in the middle of the day. It all feels very early!

weasledee · 28/09/2017 09:20

Wow those appointments are early!
I took another test this morning and was pleased that the test line appeared way before the control line! Defo pregnant Grin

lampert · 28/09/2017 10:53

Is anyone else feeling completely distracted from everything except being pregnant!? I keep suddenly finding I'm staring blankly at my laptop thinking about the baby and hoping all is ok and not actually doing any work!!! 😂. I need to kick myself up the backside and actually focus on my job!!!!

Zoo33 · 28/09/2017 11:33

@lampert Me!! I have to time record so am finding it very difficult to hit my daily target hours - when I'm not staring into space thinking about being pregnant, I'm on the toilet peeing again. 😢
