Welcome new joiners!

I got my scan appointment letter through yesterday, 20th November. Bit annoying as we're having a big party for dd on the 18th and its going to be really obvious by then. I'm already out of my skinniest jeans, got my maternity jeans in the wash as we speak. I'm not even 6 weeks yet. Anyway, nice and efficient NHS, we have a huge maternity init so not surprised. The whole 'admin' sode of things has been really good so far.

Nausea was dreadful this morning but much better this afternoon.

Wow that's amazing and super quick service. What part of the country are you ladydoll

Will anyone book a viability scan?
I will never survive mentally til 12 weeeks so I will book one for around the 20th of oct.

Bunnyears85 · 01/10/2017 18:19

Sorry if I've missed it but is there a google docs spreadsheet yet?! Last time I was pregnant we had a name/due date/any other DCs/12 week scan date/20week scan date/ gender spreadsheet! Happy to make one?!! Smile

pulpi · 01/10/2017 18:24

Slightly relieved I'm not the only one with dodgy vowels at the moment, although I hope this stage passes quickly for all of us (and our partners' noses).

pulpi · 01/10/2017 18:29

Bowels, not vowels. Although, I am Canadian so my vowels are a bit dodgy for this part of the world anyway!

NebularNerd · 01/10/2017 20:35

Can I join? Tested yesterday! This is #2. Have a 5 year old DD. Can't believe it after three years trying Smile due June 11th according to the web!

Bunnyears85 · 01/10/2017 20:43

Huge congratulations Nebular!!!!

Bunnyears85 · 01/10/2017 21:00

So pleased to be on this thread. My last mumsnet bus was amazing and we all meet up two years on!

Quick question - The first day of my last period was 19th of June but I know for sure that I conceived on September 13th! (Long cycles!) Due date calculators say May 26th based on last period but based on concerption date it's June 6th! Will the NHS take that into account when calculating due date?!

How's everyone feeling tonight?!

ladydolly · 01/10/2017 21:19

Oh my goodness, all the spelling mistakes in my previous post!! Apologies...

I'm in East Anglia mumof3cheeky. The 'system' was great last time as well.

bunnyears85 I still talk regularly to my mumsnet lot from 2014 too, would have been lost without them in the early days. None of us have met irl though! From my experience they calculate due date by last period date yes, I tried to explain I ov'd late but they just said they'd adjust at the scan. But mine was a few days not weeks like yours. I guess you'd get 2 scans though, you'd go for one based on lmp and it would be too early for the all the tests and measurements. This is just a guess of course!!

I'm going to book an early scan, just trying to decide whether to go at 7 weeks or 8...

I'm not sure but I think they will go from last period.

I've had a bit of a shitty evening. I've been feeling nauseous on and off all day then had a horrible hour where I just kept having to go to the toilet (sorry for tmi but I'm sure there'll be a lot of that on this thread!). Then cried/shouted at H on the phone when he said he was going to be late home from work!

Anyone else feeling a bit emotional? I don't remember feeling like this until a lot later on last time.

Bunnyears85 · 01/10/2017 21:26

Here you go! A Google Sheet we can all access and edit as we go! Smile docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10CI3k9Tx1O67Em0O440bVO7ByDK7MmH9iKKlfGzkjec

GreggsSausageRolls · 01/10/2017 21:57

@ElizabethLemon I was sobbing all week the week before my bfp. Can't remember the time I cried before then. Emotional state seems to be a bit more stable now, thank god Grin

Love how fast the newbies are joining! Will add details to spreadsheet tomorrow when at work, easier to do in desktop than on iPhone in bed lying on my side Grin

weasledee · 01/10/2017 22:29

Hi to all the new people!
I’ll update spread sheet tomorrow too Smile

Cronxgirl27 · 01/10/2017 22:35

Hi all. First time posting one of these forums! Really excited to be here. I got my BFP two days ago and calculated my EDD to 11 June. Feeling a bit surreal so far as we were TTC for 4 months and can't quite believe it's happened! Keep thinking I'll wake up tomorrow and it won't have stuck. I've had really sore boobs for about a week now and quite bloated. Wondering how I'm going to get through the next couple of months without drinking and without my friends figuring it out!! Any tips for this?

Bunnyears85 · 01/10/2017 22:44

Hi CronxGirl. Say you're doing Stoptober! Good timing! 'I'm on a diet, I'm cutting down my drinking, pre-Christmas detox, you're in anti-biotics?!

weasledee · 02/10/2017 07:04

Hi cronxgirl and congratulations!!
When I was trying to hide the fact I’m pregnant and friends were coming to mine, I’d hide a bottle of red or white shloer upstairs and refill my “wine” glass upstairs! Always worked Grin

17caterpillars1mouse · 02/10/2017 07:09

I can't edit the spreadsheet without downloading an app and I have no space for apps as my phone if full of pics of DD1 lol could somebody add me to it for me please?

I'm 29 from Derbyshire. Have 1 DD who is 15 months and team yellow

Bunnyears85 · 02/10/2017 07:32

@weasledee - That's good one! Grin

Bunnyears85 · 02/10/2017 07:34

@17caterpillars - When I get to work I'll see if I can make it available though the internet! I'm sure that's possible from last time!

ImogenTubbs · 02/10/2017 07:37

Oh pulpi- after what I said the other day, I can now join you in the dodgy bowels club!

Other symptoms are:
Dizziness
Headaches
Being ill
Sore boobs
Crazy dreams

What's everyone else getting?

17caterpillars1mouse · 02/10/2017 08:22

The nausea has stepped up a notch to throwing up upon waking. 5+3 so I'm sure my body is getting ready to give me all day sickness when I reach 6 weeks like last time

17caterpillars1mouse · 02/10/2017 08:23

Only other systems are an upset tummy and tiredness. Had a nap both Saturday and Sunday afternoon

Cronxgirl27 · 02/10/2017 08:30

@weasledee @bunnyears85 thanks for the tips!!

Also can't download the app (stupid phone - need an upgrade!). I'm 29 in London, this is my first pregnancy and I have no idea re team yellow/pink/blue?! Does yellow mean you will not find out the sex and keep it a surprise?!

Also didn't realise you could book an early scan? How much can you see at 7/8 weeks?

Sorry for all the silly questions! Blush

bonnymnemonic · 02/10/2017 08:49

@ElizabethLemon yes! Over emotional here. DH threw out some leftover Mexican food that I had been looking forward to having for lunch. I was so upset and angry (Blush) that I needed time to 'get over it'. This was Friday and I still feel disappointed!

Still, if this pregnancy is anything like my last, food aversion will kick in soon and see me sticking to pasta with sauce and cheese for weeks. Trying to get the variety in while I am still able to enjoy eating.
