Well hello! Can I join please? BFP yesterday morning, 11 months after a missed miscarriage, which was 18 months after trying for DC2, so am pretty much ecstatic that it's finally happened.

Love how many of you are obsessively testing - it just doesn't feel real, does it? I did one yesterday morning, one yesterday afternoon, one this morning (tiny bit darker) and can't wait until tomorrow morning to test again!

I keep thinking, "well, once the pregnancy is confirmed I can get excited" and then remind myself to look at the bloody tests! What do I think is going to happen???

Anyway, massive congrats to you all and looking forward to sharing this journey.

weasledee · 30/09/2017 18:09

Hi Imogen and welcome to the club!
Funny you should mention about testing as I sent the OH out today to buy a clear blue digital for me to use tomorrow! I need it to say 2-3 weeks Grin

EsmeGNU · 30/09/2017 19:07

I did a clear blue digital this morning and got 1-2 weeks as expected. I feel like I’ve some how found out too early. Everything I’m reading online talks about most women finding out in week 5.

Bubble04 · 30/09/2017 19:08

@EsmeGNU no, it's not too early. We're just efficient Wink

pulpi · 30/09/2017 19:17

Is anyone experiencing the insane urge to poop? It's like the norovirus has taken up residence in my bowels.

4+6 and really hoping this isn't the start of a trend.

weasledee · 30/09/2017 20:46

Hi pulpi, I’m not having the poop thing, but I am getting cramps most evenings. I had this in previous pregnancies but it’s hard to remind myself of that and not think it’s something bad! Confused

bonnymnemonic · 30/09/2017 22:11

@Wait4nothing hi! I'm also due on 7th June (for now at least) and have a 17 month old DD.

Emz01 · 30/09/2017 22:37

Tentatively joining!

Had my BFP on Thursday and took another test this morning and line is getting darker.

Aged 29
DS is nearly 3
DD is 10th June

Had an early MC in January so very nervous, really hope this one sticks!

ImogenTubbs · 01/10/2017 00:01

Pulpi - bowels ok so far, by have caught a horrible cough/cold virus thingy. I haven't been ill for at least a year. Apparently your immune system can take a battering in the early days.

Gr33nshoes · 01/10/2017 07:10

Hi everyone,

I'd like to join please. Due 4th June with DC3. I'm 37, DS is turning 18 this month and DD is 20 months.

We had a MMC before DD so a wee bit anxious. Have an early scan booked for 18th Oct when I'll be just over 7 weeks, booking in app at midwife on 24th Oct and NIPT test booked for 11th November. Fingers crossed everything goes well!

@BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer will email you just now to join the Facebook group.

Congratulations everybody Grin

Wait4nothing · 01/10/2017 07:58

Oh that is cool!
@bonnymnemonic

17caterpillars1mouse · 01/10/2017 10:30

Welcome @waitfornothing

Yes my DD is currently 16 months so will have just turned 2 or be about to turn 2 depending on if this baby is early or not also. I also had bad sickness (weeks 6-28) many people say it's a having a girl thing

17caterpillars1mouse · 01/10/2017 10:33

@pulpi I am having the poop issue also have been since before finding out. Fun

Wait4nothing · 01/10/2017 10:42

Also poop issues here. And reduced appetite (which happened before sickness last time).
🤞 for no morning sickness ladies!

weasledee · 01/10/2017 10:47

Hi gr33, I’m impressed how organised u are with all your bookings! Smile

MagggieMay · 01/10/2017 11:24

Diarrhoea here too. 4+ 3. And cramps. Very exciting! Hmm

HolyShmoly · 01/10/2017 11:32

Can I join? Got my BFP this morning, tested a few days early - I'm not due AF until Wednesday.
Calculators indicate that I'm due 12/13 June.
This is our first after 3 months of trying. We're trying to keep our heads out of the clouds as it's all so early but it's hard not to get carried away!
Will call the docs for an appointment tomorrow, it's probably best to wait until after my AF due date to have that appointment, isn't it?
So far the only real symptoms are sore boobs. I was knackered last week, but it was a really crazy week with work.

Does anyone have any opinions on the best books to read for information? Is 'What to expect' the best one?

ElizabethLemon · 01/10/2017 13:16

Hi all, I'm joining too! Positive test yesterday morning after feeling very odd the night before. I think I'll be due the 1st week of June.

2nd pregnancy, we already have a 6yo so a bit of bigger gap than most. So far I'm feeling ok, a bit tired and very sore boobs. Ate a massive curry last night then regretted it! I'm thinking of ringing the gp tomorrow to make an appointment for a midwife referral but it's often a good 6 weeks or more wait for appointments. Feels a bit cheeky asking for an emergency appointment but I suppose I'll have to?

Bubble04 · 01/10/2017 14:51

@ElizabethLemon @HolyShmoly Congratulations and welcome Grinx

HolyShmoly · 01/10/2017 15:20

Thanks for the welcome. Really stupid question, but for the sake of recording how far along I am, I count from my last period, rather than the likely date of fertilisation, correct?
So my last period started 30th August, which makes me 4 +4, correct?

Bubble04 · 01/10/2017 15:54

@HolyShmoly yes, count from the first day of your last period x

Mumof3cheeky · 01/10/2017 15:56

I think so Holy yes especially if you have a regular cycle. I have always had a regular cycle except on this occasion. My last period started on 8th of September but ovulated on cs8-9 so not sure how many weeks that makes me 🤔

HolyShmoly · 01/10/2017 17:02

I'm regular but with a 35 day cycle rather than 28.

Of out tonight, which was the reason I tested early, but didn't think about my mates noticing that I'm not drinking! Should I use the school night excuse or mutter darkly about sober October?

Wait4nothing · 01/10/2017 17:04

I’m 4+6 - planning on talking to the dr receptionist tomorrow and trying to get a midwife referral without an appointment as last time it was a waste of time.
I’ve had an ache where my boobs meet my armpits today - think I need to crack our the soft bras for tonight! Only just realised I’ve been in bed by 9pm all week - let the knackeredness commence

Wait4nothing · 01/10/2017 17:06

I went alcohol free for September after a heavy summer last time. This time I’m ‘doing’ slimming world so avoiding drinks other than ‘gin’ and mixer if I go out 😃
