doghouse - same situation with my NCT group! 3 of the 6 of us left! I soooo think I'm going to be last!

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 10:45

Eddas - I personally think your Sis is very sensible with her "jumping up and down* suggestions ..... although it hasn't worked for me so far ....

37 weeks tomorrow!! Come on baby!!! Yippee! Full term - that feels good - let's just hope nothing happens between now and 12am tonight ...... Have been feeling "a bit funny", bump has definitely dropped and MW said bubba's head is right on my pubic bone now - so don't think it will be too much longer - As long as it is after 12am tonight, I don't mind! .... Oh, and a little bit of time to pack my hospital bag and do a few other bits and bobs wouldn't go amiss either!!

Congratulations!! - To ~AngeG on the "slightly earlier than expected" arrival of wee Isobelle - I have to admit to having a bit of "inside info" as Ange and I were texting each other last night when she was in labour - so I knew she was coming earlier than expected .... Soooo pleased for her!! Hope you get home soon!

DD1 seems absolutely fine today after her illness last night - she was boiling hot and was sick a couple of times. She slept in our bed all night and seems back to normal this am - I'll take it slowly today, but hoping that is the last of it .....

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 10:47

Don't believe this, but Becky has just weed on the sitting room floor. She had just been for a wee upstairs, we came back down, I came in to the kitchen and she comes in 2 minutes later and says she has weed. What the f**. She is just doing this for attention I am sure, but I am so hacked off. I know this is irrational, but I feel like just getting up and walking out.

Pesha · 04/04/2007 10:48

ME?!?
All BH have stopped but very achey and tender and woke up in pain several times in the night so not really sure whats happening now. Not sure Im ready for a baby just yet!

Congratulations Ange!!

And good luck tomorrow MMK

Have forgotten everything else cos Next lady just delivered cute baby clothes

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 10:56

Oh SOSPL [[[[[hugs]]] hon - Vibes of >> to get you through today - DD1 has been displaying some v.challenging behaviour recentely (just started "biting" ) - I am sure it because she knows the baby is coming soon and is feeling confused and unsettled - I think it will do you both good to have some special time together - just reassure B that you love her and care for you - no matter what. Parenting is v.hard; but you are not alone!!

hotlipsmummy · 04/04/2007 10:59

Morning ladies. Congrats to Ange on the safe arrival of Isobelle. And good luck to MMK tomorrow.

Nothing new to report here, just been for check up appointment at GPs, baby still 3/5 palpable (been like that for 4 weeks!) so not moved down any further. Even though I've still got a couple of weeks to go just want it out now. DH is in no rush and says he's not ready to be a father... what that says about DS I don't know !!!

SOSPL - sorry to hear your DD is gioving you a hard time at the moment. FWIW though I think its probably normal. A neighbour (who was due on the same day as me but whose baby is now a month old ) has a 4 yr old DD who gave her grief after baby was born. I think at that age they are very used to being the only one but aren't able to express their feelings in a mature way IYSWIM. Bloody hard for the mummies though! Hang in there I'm sure you are doing a great job, and she will get used to it - its more "abnormal" to be an only child for life if that makes sense!

Builders still here - plumbing and electics today for the 2 new rooms in the loft. So without water for most of the day. Need to keep legs crossed!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 11:03

Thanks CD. What upsets me is that we do lots of nice things together, and she can still be like this. Doing painting just now and off to the zoo this afternoon. I know I have to be patient and understanding etc. but my God it is hard isn't it! It feels like such a kick in the teeth when she behaves like this.

Sorry about your dd1 and "biting". We had a nightmare with this and I could never let B out of my sight for fear of what she might inflict on other children.

Happy days!!

nuttygirl · 04/04/2007 11:04

Morning all

CONGRATULATIONS ANGE - love the name, hope you're recovering well!

SOSPL - sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with B at the moment. (((hugs)))

LOL @ bouncing up & down...

CD - glad to hear you LO is feeling better.

Peshs - yay to lovely baby clothes. They have some gorgeous stuff in Next at the moment, our local branch had a half price sale on last weekend so I got a couple of bits.

Well I'm due tomorrow but unless non-stop chocolate eating is a sign, I don't think I'll be having it just yet!!! I've got a mw appointment at 12.30 where I'll be given info on a sweep and booked in for one the following week.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 11:06

Hi Hotlips. I am sure it is normal behaviour and I can understand she must be feeling a bit insecure.

Hope you get your water back on soon. We were without water for a day when they fitted our softener - not so bad if you want a wee, but a bit of a nightmare if you want a poo as the flush won't work ! Yes, that happened to me!!

nuttygirl · 04/04/2007 11:07

Oh and good luck to MMK for tomorrow! (I knew I'd forget something!)

Hotlipsmummy - thank you...you've just helped me figure out what the mw had written on my notes on Sat night. Seems mine is 2/5ths palpable (couldn't read it at all, her writing was dreadful).

bumble75 · 04/04/2007 11:19

Morning all,

Haven't been on for agggggggggges as trying to actually do some work in my last days in the office !

Big congrats to AngeG and Dooby and fab names as well - hope you're both doing well. All the best to mmk for tomorrow.

SOSPL, as a first timer I have no pearls of wisdom but agree that it's maybe fairly normal? My sister's two eldest were both the same before she had number 3 and now they are model big brother/sister & adore recent addition (they just fight with each other now...). Sending a big hug.

Hope everyone else is doing well, also can't remember who is was was, but thank you for the advice on hiring TENS machine - had compeletely forgotten to do this but is now ticked off my list!

Have a great day
x

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 11:22

Keep going SOSPL - You are going to be ok - we are with you! Enjoy the Zoo this pm. I like Zoos.

Oooh due tomorrow nutty - how exciting - can't believe we are all sooo close to popping or have popped now!!!

Don't think it will be long for me ....

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 11:32

Probably because I belong in one.

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 11:37

I am looking forward to being able to do all the things I remember loving as a child but you wouldn't really do without a child again - farms, zoos, feeding the ducks, soft play (am I allowed to join in???)
SOSPL, sorry to hear B is being a pain, bet once the baby is here she will be extremely proud big sis. Hope you're coping in the meantime (((hugs)))

octo · 04/04/2007 11:49

Been to midwife - all fine - 3/5 engaged and def head down Next appointment in 2 weeks with consultant re induction! arrgghhh

SOSPL - know exactly where you at at with Becky - mine go through stuff like that and I just feel like crying -its so horrible because you try really hard to do nice stuff and they don't appreciate it and behave really badly - just feel like giving up! Big hugs xxoxoxoxoxox

Labour vibes to all those due/overdue!

Am off for a sleep - then going to iron and hang all my normal clothes back up!! (slightly wishful thinking that some might fit but fed up of looking at maternity clothes!) I don't think I'll get time once he arrives so best get it done!

Have a nice day everyone

Tili · 04/04/2007 11:55

Hello

Congratulations AngeG thats lovely news take carexx

Good luck for tomorrow MMK.

The hospital called yesterday and They have booked me in for my scan tomorrow morning at 10 am feeling really nervous just want him to be head down its not too much to ask is it but on a positive note it will be nice to see him again esp as he should arrive in 3 weeks.so what i will see is what I will get !! LOL

Anyway better get beth some lunch will try and pop back later xxx

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 12:00

Hello, just popping in quickly. Cannot keep up with these threads at all, so have no idea what's been going on here apart from seeing that Ange has had little Isobelle - congratulations to you and your family Ange, hope you're doing OK.

Have just had MW here for a home visit to discuss home birth - all still OK for this, even with all the nasty stuff she's obliged to tell us. Even DH is OK about it all and ready to go with it, so am now very excited and just wanting to get on with it. All the HB kit is being dropped off at the weekend and the MWs are on-call for me from next Tuesday. Oh goodness, this is really happening isn't it?!

As for the carpet/flooding incident yesterday, am a bit as it turns out it was DH who put a screw through a pipe under the floorboards. I seriously have the most accident-prone DH out there. Anyway, all fixed now, mess cleared up and carpet fitters back tomorrow to finish off (hopefully everything will have dried out by then....).

Off out for lunch, but will attempt to catch up later, apologies of I've missed some important news that I should have acknowledged!

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 12:01

Hoep it is good news for you Tili! It will be sooo lovely to "see" your LO though - although they will be sooo big, not much of them will fit on the screen now!!

Off to make DD's lunch and then out to friends for PM.

See you all later....

weeonion · 04/04/2007 12:06

hey folks

sopl - i really do feel for you. i cant offer any advice but it must be so hard to keep goign at times.

clarice - also thoughts to you. friend who had bubba before xmas has had really awful time with piles. i have never had any so didnt knwo what it was liek til hers happened along - and now i know how difficult it is. cooling ice thoughts to you.

isnt it really stnage that every day we are now waiting on news, tickign names off lists and loking around to suss out who is next?? after all - this si exactly why we all ended up here but now that the days are numbered and we are all moving towards babies - i still get a thrill to think - "oh another baby!!" - as if it is a surprise!

just back from hospital. all looks great. baby head down but "on the brim". size is fine - back up to average, very active and heart rate good. my bloods and everything is good so - we are hoping its a midwife unit birth. my mw is an absolute dote - i love her! i left with a smile on my face and went and sat in teh park amongst the daffodils.

dp and i went through in detail last night how we want the home labour to be. both of us got so excited and giddy - i am still in the looking forward to it mode. i am only 38 weeks tho' = so may feel different by full term. MW said that if i really wante d- they would probably let me go 15 days b4 induction. great newsd as that is what i wanted.

sun in shining - i am off out to get car fixed and have nice lunch at riverside cafe. bliss.

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 12:08

look what I found!!
There's a thread in chat or somewhere about what was the first thread you ever posted on, so I thought I'd look mine up. Glad to see my 2nd ever post was about salt and vinegar discos ... might have to pop out and get some.
There were a lot of people on that thread who have since disappeared though, very strange. Sorry if I should know this, but has zazas been around for a while?

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 12:11

weeonion, glad everything went well. I know what you mean about the feeling at the moment. I'm actually still coming to terms with the fact that's a baby in there (in a way I didn't do before). For example, although I think I knew that in a few months I'd have a baby, it didn't occur to me that in a few years I'd have a toddler, in a decade or so I'd have a teenager... Anyway, I'm still really looking forward to it (more than I should I think) and feeling all excited!

octo · 04/04/2007 12:14

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My appeal date has come through for ds2 to get into school - on the 19th April

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahhahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....

HAVE GONE INTO COMPLETE FLAP MODE - ARRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....

LesleyR · 04/04/2007 12:19

Knew I wouldn't be able to stay away until Thursday.

Congratulations AngeG, another lovely name. Girl babies are very much outnumbering the boys at the mo.

Good luck for tomorrow MMK.

Lovely to have my mam here for some company. Think she is nesting on my behalf she's in a cleaning frenzy at mo! Going to drag her away from the Mr Muscle in a bit and treat her to nice lunch.

I had BH all day yesterday and niggly pains right through night, however just as I was thinking "this could be the start of something" they've gone

Due on Monday so would love an early arrival. Send me some of those "come out baby" vibes please.

Will pop back later to see if anyone else has delivered.

EllieKthePA · 04/04/2007 12:19

i know i said kick me off if i come on but bit of a problem.........................

haven't felt him moving today, have crunched a pint of ice and still nothing, eaten an easter egg and no, still nothing. called mw and she wants me to go to hosp. for monitoring.

not too worried as had the same with matthew in week before due date (too bloody big i tell you!), but best go do as i'm told, just means taking the boy with me.

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 12:19

Can you mention that's maybe not the best time, and ask them to bring it forward a week? After all you have possibly the best excuse! Or just ask if you can bring your hospital bag, TENS machine, waterproof sheets and DIY homebirth kit, just in case - that should scare them
