CongratulationS even was the excitement

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 08:11

Eddas- there is one certain way to bring on labour - get your DH / DP to work in a bakers, everything is on schedule
I guess your sister is 20?

Eddas · 04/04/2007 08:14

PMSL Katy, at least i'd get lots of cakes!!!!

No she's not 20

weeonion · 04/04/2007 08:19

congrats ange - she did say there was a bit of action starting last night??

eddas - is your sis 28??

Eddas · 04/04/2007 08:22

Getting closer WO, i'm 28, she's older than me

31!!!!!!!!!!!! I do wonder how she doesn't fall over sometimes!!!

liath · 04/04/2007 08:38

Hello & congratulations AngeG!

Another gorgeous day up here, am off to a family park in East Lothian to meet my parents, sister and nephews so dd is beside herself with excitement ("choochootrain!LlamasGrannyGrandadAuntieBeckyChoochooMOOCOWS" all at 100 decibels). There are trampolines and a flying fox there - who dares me to go on them at nearly 39 weeks pregnant???

DH has already volunteered for the snip but I' rather not do something irreversible yet (although having said that I NEVER EVER want to be pregnant EVER AGAIN). Was going to get a mirena coil but might get an implanon as you have to wait until 6 months after the delivery for a coil. Woulnt't want to run the risk of a wee surprise coming along.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 08:38

Congrats Ange and family. Fab news.
Hope you are all doing well and loo forward to hearing more news.

Morning all. Feel knackered today and have already had a wee cry. Becky is in nasty mode - most of the time I just let it pass me by, but feel quite low today. Hey ho. Let's hope the sun keeps shining eh.

Next baby please!!!

weeonion · 04/04/2007 08:39

lol.

my dp's sttep mum who has never had a baby and in fact has never babysat a child in her life sent me a note to say that she had a mini trampoline that i could borrow for teh last 2 weeks if i wanted - for the same bouncing purpose. i live in a flat - can you imagine the quakes (and floods) that would go through the building if this hefty bump and bum started bouncing our way merrily to induction?????

so eddas - you start bouncing and i will follow????

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 08:41

Meant to say look forward, not loo!

maveta · 04/04/2007 09:00

Congrat AngeG!! What a lovely name, can´t wait to hear more and see the pics! xx

Re. contraception, we just use old faithful condoms and it´s always worked a treat but most health workers nowadays don´t seem to be convinced you are on reliable contraception unless you are on hormones of some kind . I was on the pill for almost 10 years before meeting dh, it never really bothered me being on it but strangely I felt quite happy not to ´have´ to take it anymore. But the dh is ever so responsible about it and I know many guys aren´t so.

I feel a bit crappy today, was tossing and turning so much I went to sleep on the sofa so as not to disturb dh. Had TONS of bh and made about 6 trips to the toilet for a wee. Was very uncomfortable indeed. Now feeling quite spaced out. 37 weeks today! Bubba come whenever you want!!

congratulations Ange.

My computer is finally fixed (whilst I was having lenghty spell at hospital yesterday). Today is my last day of hell, tomorrow the section will be done. (9am tomorrow if I'm lucky).
It will be about 5 days early, depending on whose counting method we use.
As of tomorrow, I will be able to breathe again for the first time in 3 weekss.

Registrar got it wrong, baby is not in correct position, but still laying traverse, so they might keep me in today. Not too bothered about that.

The inlaws and my mother arrive today, at least that will keep us busy!

Good luck to anyone who is going for it today!!

Good luck mmk!!!

Morning Maveta. Hope you can get some rest today.

xx

maveta · 04/04/2007 09:43

Thanks Lucewheel but I fear this is just the start of the last few weeks of discomfort rather than anything significant. Although we can hope...

Good luck for tomorrow MMK! xx

Cheers SOSPL.. don´t reckon I´ll be starting the kitchen spring clean today.. maybe tomorrow Hope your day gets better x

I´m looking after my Mum´s cats this week while she´s away so am now off over there to feed them and watch some satellite tv.. yay! She also has internet so I´ll be back on shortly no doubt.

octo · 04/04/2007 09:55

Morning all

CONGRATULATIONS ANGEG Great news - thought from what you said could be a bit earlier!!!! Hope it all went well

Good luck for tomorrow mmk

OOh - feel a rush of babies coming on ...!! But think Ernie has decided to opt out and stay put til christmas! Keep thinking about the positive labour vibes and how its not pain its just him trying to squeeze out LOL

Hvae just embarked rather foolishly on DIY job - the boys keep missing the toilet (dh swears its not him) so have just pulled up the tiles from the downstairs cloakroom floor to see where smell coming from ... def the floor tiles - so have binned them! But now really the sensible thing to do is replace the suite and get the floor tiled with cermanic ones so nothing gets through! Can get a takeaway cloakroom suite from B&Q for about £120 plus some tiles easily - its the plumber and tiler that are the expensive bit and a bugger to pin down for a date! Don;t think will get anyone before baby I have to say but will need to get done - a few other plumbing jobs need doing around the house so will discuss with dh later!!!

DS2 is in preschool all day as someone called in sick so he can have an afternoon place too - yipppeee! Have midwife at 10.45 then can have nice lunch and sleep zzzzzzz

eca · 04/04/2007 10:04

hi loves

ange! congrats hon. A little bit sooner than planned, but what a great surprise! Love the name, would have it on our list if a friend hadn't got there first! xxx

mmk - welcome back hon. Good luck for tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly, looking forward to hearing your news!

SOSPL - oh, you poor love. You seem to be going through it with B at the mo. Hope she settles down a bit. I'm sure it will pass and she will totally fall in love with the lo and be the bestest big sis ever. Hang in there. Not long to go now. Hope today's a bit more positive for you. Sorry no real advice as I'm only on no.1, but just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you xxxxx

Couldn't face watching that C4 programme last night, made me feel a bit sick thinking of it! !

Eddas - lol at sis. perhaps se read something about bouncing on a birth ball and just took it to a whole new level!

WO - now don't go starting everyone bouncing! CD's been bad enough on the slides/hay etc!!

CD - steady! Move away from the trampoline! We know what you're like!

eca · 04/04/2007 10:08

morning octo! Sounds like you've got bank-hol-weekend DIY fever!

octo · 04/04/2007 10:16

I know - must be bonkers! Could be nesting though ....! Not the best idea to start DIY at this stage - will def end in tears! (thats me not getting my own way btw!)

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 10:23

Eca, thank you for your kind words. This group is so supportive. x

doghouse · 04/04/2007 10:26

congrats AngeG (love the name) & good luck MMK for tomorrow.
LOL at your sister Eddas!

Off to meet my NCT chums for lunch today ... there are only 4 (of the 8) left and am very of those who already have their LOs.

Our baby due yesterday but no signs yet!

GirtWaspbElly · 04/04/2007 10:27

Morning all!

Congrats AngeG I too thought Isobelle was going to be impatient sort!

Was having tightenings overnight, but they stopped when I got up at 2 to cuddle my wheezy little boy back to sleep. Shame that the best place to hold him in my arms is on top of bump! When I went to bed I thought I could either walk around a bit & try to keep things going - or go to sleep and let it happen if it was going to...sleep won! [no contest after yesterday's write-off of a day!

I vote Pesha in next

claricebean · 04/04/2007 10:36

Congratulations to Ange and baby Isobelle. Lovely name, but we are biased here as DD1 is Isabel.

Well finally feeling OKish today girls. I can walk without excrutiating agony, although still sore (and I haven't even done labour yet ). It's my due date today. I've only reached due date once out of three before, and DD2 was already born by now on hers (7:23am), so it's a bit of a strange feeling. Though to be honest this is the first day I've felt well enough to even contemplate birth so I'm very glad she's stayed put so far. .

Hope everyone else is OK. How you doing WaspElly? IIRC you're my due date buddy.

eca · 04/04/2007 10:37

hi doghouse - text buddy!

Hi WaspElly - was just updating stats and noticed it's your due date today. And also Claricebeans.

Lots of to those due today and those ticking over now!!

eca · 04/04/2007 10:39

Hi CB - x posted with you there! (you must have known I was talking about you !!) Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. xx
