When I had ds my mw and hv suggested having a special box of toys that you only bring out when feeding the baby so it makes them feel special too and keeps them occupied but you have to make sure to put them away again when you finish feeding obviously, could be easier said than done! I never tried this as dd was actually fine with it all, she was an angel until about 3 1/2 then she became a teenager! We did always call him our baby though which I think helped. Oh and ask any visitors to make a fuss of the toddler and just ignore the baby at first.

Ds has started waking several times of an evening after going to bed and crying at bedtime. He was lke this when he was younger but the last 6 months plus he's been fine. Oh and he's waking 5ish and wanting to come into my room, not what Im gonna want if Ive got a tiny baby asleep in my room or feeding in my bed but 5 in the morning Im too tired to argue with him. I am expecting some problems with him TBH, he's a very cuddly, soppy boy and not sure how well he'll handle having to share me with a baby. But having dd to help entertain him should help.
