Ellie - Go in. Nothing to lose, peace of mind to gain

CD and Katy - I packed mine today [smug emoticon]. Was beginning to think I'd never get round to it, and would be stuffing a few random sleepsuits and bras in a carrier bag with DP trying to stuff me into the car.

Second timers or more; I'm getting some tantrummy behaviour too, and also some sweet, sweet clinging, but my DS is very young, only just two, so the problems are likely to be a little different from those with older children.

One thing I would say, based on something one of our multi-mums suggested, is not actually making the baby your priority or indeed yours in any ownership sense, but belonging to the family. Apart from bfing, if you are going to, and of course safety, really the baby's needs are seldom going to have to come first. And even feeding can be delayed a little if necessary. Don't get me wrong, I'm TERRIFIED about how DS will cope and how I will handle two, but I really did like the advice I got and thought I'd pass it on.

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 21:30

IntergalEGGticWalrus · 04/04/2007 21:30

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 21:37

Didn't realise YOU were still around either!! Thought you were going to bed, young lady!!!?

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 21:39

That was just to get a head start on the packing in the morning. Now I'm planning to stay up all night!
Have emailed you - did that cheque clear OK?

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 21:42

Have asked for my number post to be deleted, hope Ellie got it, if she needs it, sure she has other people's as well but you never know!
Don't mind if anyone wants to get it in the meantime though - getting texts makes me feel popular!

muminamassivetummy · 04/04/2007 21:43

Glad Ellie has gone in - was getting more and more worried for her as I read then....

will be thinking of her tonight.
Dippy - would love to see that piccy of your little dippies .

Well I am stuffed full of Marshmallows that I toasted on the Chiminea and feel very sick...my Dad finally got to feel the baby kick! He was well chuffed. Thanks so much again for all who have shared experiences with their DC's. It has helped me enourmously to know I am not the only one and it is relativley nromal behaviour. I have the toddler taming book - must go and re read a few chapters I think!

First timers - it honestly is not all that bad - just gets to you sometimes...esp when feeling like a huge walrus!

Night ladies
xxxxxx

octo · 04/04/2007 21:44

Hope everything is okay - the whole movement thing always freaks me out - know too many people who have had bad things happen which won;t go into or the whole lot of you will decamp to the nearest hospital!

octo · 04/04/2007 21:45

Night all xxxx (((may be back to check if any news )))
