Pinionsrus · 03/04/2007 15:40

No just generally very wound up right now!

The cream is the same one that I use, but it doesn't really affect my scalp. Mine has gone totally during preg which has been great and I want it to stay like that x

I never had it until after the birth of my son.

Pinionsrus · 03/04/2007 15:40

Have emailed you Katy.

Katy44 · 03/04/2007 15:41

Emailing you, sorry

Pesha · 03/04/2007 15:42

Does seem strange stopping at 38 weeks ellie, I thought from 36 wks on it was meant to be once a week. Thats what im supposedto be having now except I completely forgot to make an appointment for this week and they're now all booked up Have an appointment booked at hospital for next week though so Im not too bothered.

So I have drs in an hour - anyone got any guesses whats wrong with me?! (be nice ) First noticed pain when pg with ds so about 4 yrs ago. When not pg it feels like its my left ovary hurting, comes and goes with no pattern. Has been so bad on occassion i can hardly walk but only for bout 10 mins then goes which is why I then forget to ring dr. Does sometimes hurt when I need a poo but not any particular type (sorry tmi). For last couple weeks has been getting increasingly worse, hurts lower left side but also higher up on my left side now is very tender and can set off waves of pain if poked too much, as i discovered last night when trying to work out exactly where pain was!! So what d'ya reckon?

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 15:42

hello oooggs

no more babies since dooby but did discover you weren't receiving the emails so you should now have photos of the lovely orla

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 15:43

Pesha, here they only see you every week with your first, and then only after 36 weeks. with the second you're supposed to know it all already

oooggs · 03/04/2007 15:52

Well what happened was................

Thursday 29 March pessary in at 9am, nothing happening and 2nd one due in at 3pm but they were too busy. At 4.20pm dh popped in to check it was safe to bring James in for a visit. Whilst he went to nursery to get him the midwife had a check. I was 2cm dialated but my cervix was at the back on me and off to the left!!

She said she was going to stretch it a bit and pull it forward. I nearly hit the ceiling ouch

4.40pm dh & ds came in and I suddenly felt in a lot of pain. Suggested that not good to stay and with that at 5.00pm my waters went. Dh dropped ds off at home with nan and came straight back to delivery.

A georgous anthetist (sp?) gave me an epidural (it was either that or general if a twin problem) which was fantastic - better than last time. 8.30pm she checked and I was 10cm and ready to push, Erin out at 2050hrs, which was quick.

While dh was cooing over a new daughter, a midwife & dr grabbed my stomach to stop twin 2 from turning and Jack out at 2109hrs.

Up on the ward at midnight, dh went home and I was in the worst pain ever. I had water retention as no cathertir (sp?) so I was drained and all is well.

Very quick, and got home last night.

Will post personal when I have more fingers free

runnyhabbit · 03/04/2007 15:55

Pinions - So at how you've been treated. My antenatal care has been brilliant. There's a team of about 8 mw, and have seen most of them. They will even come out to the house if I'm too shattered to go to the clinic. I'm 39 wks today and have my next appt on Thursday.

Elliek - Really had to calm down after reading that thread you linked to. So My dh gets sent goodness knows where around the country, one week to due date. He regurlarly works a 12 hour day - not just as a one off. Think I'm going to have to reply....

Eddas · 03/04/2007 15:58

hensden sounds like fun then, so not only do i need pillows, bottles, formula, towels, nappies, cotton wool etc etc i now need to add, cleaning equipment, anti bac spray, cloths and the like FFS I really will need that f*in removal lorry!!!

Good bloody job they'll kick me out in about an hour then

And at mw not coming out pinionsi'd be mad too.

And my mw seems to be like ellies, saw her at 38 weeks and won't see her til monday for a sweep so 41 weeks.Mind you she is on holiday this week or i may have seen her

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 16:05

i'm going for a while now, will be back on later but getting very tempted to post 'ffs love, there weren't all these rules when our mothers were pg and we survived' on several threads in the pregnancy section, and that would be unfair cos they're obviously just worried.

maybe i don't care enough about my baby but i really can't be doing with constant tests for minute chances of bugs (unlike strep b which is v serious and v common too)

Pinionsrus · 03/04/2007 16:07

RESULT - MIDWIFE IS ON HER WAY AROUND THIS MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!(Scared now what if she is an ogre.)

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 16:08

yippee for Pinions

well done x

Eddas · 03/04/2007 16:10

Ellie, think some people want assurances on every little thing. But you can;t do that with babies can you. And as for that link re paternity leave, just had to post something!!!

Pinions be scared, she'll probably prod you about like mad now only kidding sure it'll be fine. Maybe they realised how they made you

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 16:14

just read it Eddas, you're worse than me!

tho actually, you just post what i think, i haven't had alcohol when i've been posting yet, MN may become a dangerouus place once i can drink again!

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 16:15

and get it right Eddas, it's Perternity leave don't you know

do you think his wife is giving birth to a cat?

sorry, being bitchy [hand slapped] so going now.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 03/04/2007 16:18

Hi Ooogs, welcome back to MN! What a birth story! Hope you are feeling ok.

Pinions, hope your mw is kind to you.

Katy, I get psoriasis too, but it again calmed down with this pg which is great! So, there are benefits of being pregnant!!

Just had a McDonalds chocolate mlkshake - bloody lovely!

Eddas · 03/04/2007 16:23

Oh god hadn't thought about the affect of alchohol on my posts, that could be messy LOL at perternity leave Some people just spout shit though and it's so annoying. I'm not trying to say i know everything, although obviously i am very intelligent super witted etc , but some people are a little too dim for belief!

Hmmmm maybe we should all wish this baby out, do you think it's causing me to be a little mean

1becomes3 · 03/04/2007 16:46

hello all, I'm back for a tiny bit while DT's and DD are asleep!

It is utter madness round here feeding frenzy ever 4hours plus expressing milk in between for zed (hasn't got much of a suck reflex)
I feel like a bloody cow!
My nips are going to be touching the floor by the end of this.

DD has been quite good, even though it is very hard for me because I can't pick her up so I seem to be having a lot less contact with her, it's not nice when she has hurt herself and I can't pick her up and give her a hug.

DH is working like a mad man, and still the house is a tip, he seems to be all over the place, he will start doing one thing then bugger off and do something else, he is very random at the moment.

The Dt's are sleeping quite well, they did start off sleeping all day then being awake at night but I soon changed that and have been waking them up a bit during the day so they sleep better at night.

Everyone was right it is very hetic, hard work, crazy time's round here, but we seem to be workiing throught it.

not sure how it is going to be when DH is back at work, don't think the BF and expressing will last. At least I have given it my best shot and I'm not giving up yet.

Hope you are all well.

Katy44 · 03/04/2007 16:56

Sounds like you're doing fantastically 1b3! When does your DH go back?

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 03/04/2007 16:57

Hello 1b3!!!!!

Sounds like you are doing a grand job to me my love.

Sorry your dh is being a bit random! Men are like that aren't they!

Lots of love to you. xx

Pinionsrus · 03/04/2007 17:05

UPDATE - Well I started off by giving her as good a "grilling" as I could and then ended up feeling a bit awful cos she looked really hurt and if I dare say it quite afraid!

Oopps. Then I calmed down a bit. Probably the sight of me being the huge great big heffa that I am right now put her off a bit. I happily told her about all you guys and that you have no problems with "home visits" etc and she just went blank. All is ok all rel checks done, feel a bit more "cared for" now.

My due date is the 10th april, a week today, and she still didn't offer me a home visit then, instead I have to sit in stinking surgery with all the lurgies that will be going round. She blamed it all on "understaffing and underfunding".

God know what else I wanted to say apart from its tea-time and I really should feed my child bless.

Pinionsrus · 03/04/2007 17:07

AND PLEASE CAN WE HAVE A VOTE.

WHO THINKS IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO START A "POST NATAL" THREAD NOW, NOW THERE ARE A FEW LUCKY MUMS.

I DON'T WANT THEM DRIFTING AWAY AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALL THEIR BABY CHAT!!!!!

(ANYONE?)

The "mums" are getting less and less frequent on here I don't know if anyones noticed I know they'll alll be busy but still we need to keep some "momentum" going. I know that I will need somewhere to "turn" when I am going up the wall.

Anyone else???????????

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 17:24

i'll leave it up to you, i don't think it's that they're less frequent on 'here', just not online much at the mo.
