Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Oh silly me Lunar as well there goes my pregnancy brain again, now is there anyone else I've missed off?

Jay Jensen is lovely!

Now where's mine?

muppethasakitten · 26/03/2007 12:45

congrats laidback... you did it!! What a tremendous sounding birth too! You'll be trying for another one at this rate! Love the name too!

Jay - glad you're getting out and about... my baby blues are also still lurking - nothing desperate but i know what you mean about bursting into tears etc.

So who's next??? and who is left - is it just chocpenny, mossy, kitty and runningal?

Went out for lovely dog walk with Samuel in buggy today - real spring sunshine... he screamed for most of it!! Lovely!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 26/03/2007 13:14

I am keeping myself busy by alternating between tidying up the kids crap and dipping in and out of 2 smacking threads.
Now whoever said I didn't lead a full and varied life, awash with challenges and rewards?
Actually it IS a challenge to climb up the stairs to the boys' rooms and down again to post on the pooter. There I've think I've proved my point

Chocolatepenny · 26/03/2007 13:19

Laidback you had a laidback birth! Can't believe it! sounds great.
Jay I can't get enough of your baby pictures, think I am obsessed with babies at the moment, keep looking at them in supermarkets and the post office Q.
Well nothing here but could well be a on off affair like Piffles.
Wow only four of us left! Looks like I'll be having that sweep on Thurs. Does anybody know if they induce you after that? or is that just if your waters break but baby still refuses to budge?

muppethasakitten · 26/03/2007 13:23

chocpenny - i never found out what rsch policy was on induction for being overdue... all i can say is my induction there really wasn't that bad... obviously it's not ideal but the chances are you're going to have this baby sooner rather than later so don't worry about it yet...
so are you going to have the sweep?

Kitty - i'm still struggling up and down stairs and i'm not pg anymore! Think i just get really tired from bfing.

LunarSea · 26/03/2007 13:24

CP - no 5 of us. I'm still here, and likely to be for a while yet if the lack of warning signs is anything to go by!

Well I can't for the life of me get a midwife to visit.
I have been explaining to them for a week now that I am too incapacitated to get to clinic.

I haven't been seen by anybody for 3 weeks.

They keep saying they will try and come round but are very busy with the post natal ladies.
I said to one mw today "Look I don't care, if it's not important that you see me, then it doesn't matter, I'll wait 'till I eventually go into labour" She said but it WAS important. So then where are they? .
No doubt come Weds they'll start hassling me for pokes, sweeps and inductions. No way Jose, I can feel an arsey kitty moody coming on.

Piffle · 26/03/2007 13:33

Laidback sesational news, I booted dp off the pc(working from home on bloody PATERNITY LEAVE THE ARSE) just to hope to see your news!
And it sounds amazing!
And the name It was my 2nd choice I love love love it! But dp didn't luckily I adore Finns name too
Go rest up and enjoy them. I'm so thoroughly smitten with Finn the tiredness isn't even registering
I jump for joy every time he wakes up as it so nice to see him
Also as my milk came in yesterday, if he even looks like remotely needing a feed, I plonk him on for the blessed relief

Come on everyone else

Choc pen, yes on and off for several hours
I found I could check them.
If I had a bath they'd calm down, if I lay down they calmed down.

Trust me you'll NOT need to ask twice when it really happens

Chocolatepenny · 26/03/2007 13:33

Sorry Lunar, 5 of us.
Muppet I think RS let you go to 42 wks then induce, but I will have the sweep at 41wks to try get things moving first.

runningal · 26/03/2007 14:16

Laidback - that's fantastic news, many congratulations. It's so good to read positive birth experiences at this stage!

Thanks so much for the kind thoughts and helpful advice here yesterday - I spent most of the day in bed, just grateful I got ill at the weekend when hubby was here to help. I'm much better today, baby is moving again and all twinges completely disappeared so I don't think anything will be happening for me anytime soon.

So there's just Lunar, Kitty, Mossie, Chocpenny and me left now? What's the current odds on the next one then? Kitty, I'm so mad for you that a midwife won't come out - that's really poor on their part. Keep harrassing them and good luck all!

CallieNewMum · 26/03/2007 17:10

Laidback - congratulations. Your birth sounds amazing. I'd like one like that next time (I'd planned one like that this time, but there we go!). Welcome to Amos.

So it's the Famous Five left. Come on girls, you've only got six days of March left....get 'em out .

sazzybee · 26/03/2007 17:58

Wow - laidback - how amazing!

Congratulations on the safe arrival of Amos.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 26/03/2007 19:02

Just had a home visit from the most lovely, lovely MW. Never met her before but she was so kind and supportive. She said she would be very happy to be called out to the birth. Strangely I sort of feel all is ok now.

kiwibella · 26/03/2007 19:34

Kitty, I'm glad that it worked out in the end and your MW was worth waiting for... kinda!

Piffle... my dh did the same thing and worked throughout his paternity leave!!

Mossie · 26/03/2007 19:34

Kitty that's good, I'm glad a mw came out to see you at last, and a nice one too. Must put your mind at rest!

Runningal glad you're feeling better today.

I'm getting a slight headache. Now normally, I'd think, "oh that's annoying, better take a para and lie down". Whereas now I'm thinking, "hmm, a headache, could that possibly be an early sign of labour?"

Anyway I googled it and it doesn't look like it is.

How sad is that? Next it'll be, my dog looked at me funny, could that be an early sign of labour? I cut my finger when I was peeling tatties, could that be an early sign of labour? And so on and so forth.

Ronniebaby · 26/03/2007 23:09

Lunarsea - good luck sweetie, thinking of you.

LunarSea · 27/03/2007 08:44

Hi RB.

Well am still here, and still nothing happening. Baby isn't moving as much now - but that's presumably because he's running out of room. Hopefully he'll get the message that if he gets himself out of there he'll have a whole lot more space to wriggle around in.

OP posts:
muppethasakitten · 27/03/2007 09:42

Mossie... googling labour symptoms.... you know what that's a sign of don't you?

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 27/03/2007 09:45

Bloody hell, this baby of mine gave me some hassle last night!!
From about 1-3 am he was bouncing around like pnuematic drill .
I actually thought I was going to throw up at one point he was hurting my guts so much. Then I thought he was bound to break his waters like the last one did. I had to sit up and read for 2 hours before he went off back to sleep.

Just as well i didn't go into labour 'cos my head was manky and needed a good wash
Still the signs are good, moving in the right direction and all that.

Hope the rest of you had a more peacful night.
Anyone has getting really swollen feet and legs now?

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 27/03/2007 09:46

Opps, meant manky hair. Could have been a manky head I suppose what with the lack of sleep

Mossie · 27/03/2007 10:50

Lunar my lo has been quieter than usual today as well. But maybe that's because for the first time in ages I have been able to have a lie-in; my wrists feel so much better today so I thought, "sod it, I'll just lie in bed"! Maybe he took the hint and had a sleep as well?

Muppet.... googling labour symptoms... a sign of... desparation?

Kitty sorry about your interrupted night. But I bet your hair is now shiny and manageable and ready for labour!

Right I'm going to have a cup of coffee and heat up last night's leftovers (lasagne - first one I've ever made and it was nice, too!) for, well it's a bit late for brekkie - brunch, I suppose!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 27/03/2007 10:55

Yes indeeed Mossy, my hair is clean. I forgot to get it cut though .

Mossie · 27/03/2007 10:57

Kitty I got fed up of paying a hairdresser to trim my hair. I cut it myself. When it's grown to shoulder length I'm going to go to the hairdresser and have a nice posh bob put in, but until then it'll do!

You can tell though, if you look closely enough!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 27/03/2007 11:51

When you next go to a hairdresser you know they're gonna say (with a face like someone sucking lemons) "Where are you having you hair cut at the moments?"
Then you'll have to 'fess up

Mossie · 27/03/2007 12:06

Lol! Actually I went to our hairdressers the other day, while dh got his hair cut. None of them noticed my hair they were too busy fussing over bump! I told them I'd come in with the baby for my post-baby cut and that made them happy!
