Hi thewinedidit I am also 7+5 today Smile
Try not to worry too much but if you do get anxious you could visit your EPU

Miami81 · 12/05/2017 07:41

Wine
I have been spotting pretty much since day one, I am 7+3 today. Sometimes it is slightly heavier and others it is just literally spots.
I would get in touch with your epu though, they are very good and are your absolute lifeline for reassurance in this instance. I think some of them you can self refer or go through gp. My first time I got referred by nhs24. Here to hold your hand today.

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 07:56

Hope you're ok wine.
*
Miami* yeah I was the same. Absolutely exhausted, went to sleep about ten. Woke up suddenly around 12 and couldn't sleep for a while again. Then was awake early AM and although I felt really tired, I couldn't sleep. Also have twinge feelings in lower tummy. Making me feel very very nervous.

Bisquick · 12/05/2017 07:59

Day 2 of taking just folic acid and Vitamin D and the nausea has definitely eased up a LOT. If anyone else is still taking a pregnancy multivitamin might be something to chat with your Dr or MW about.
I keep tossing and turning through the night, although haven't yet needed to wake up midway through the night to pee. That will come soon enough I know!

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 08:36

Wine upper abdomen will probably be stretching muscles :) you mentioned spotting - what colour/consistency?

I'm sure you're perfectly fine, but have you booked in with your MW? You could always call her and see what she/he suggests Smile

fishfingerSarnies · 12/05/2017 08:39

I am a lot less sick than my last pregnancy and I think it's down to not taking a pregnancy vitamin as when I stopped last time it really eased up my sickness. I'm just taking folic acid and vit d.

Hope everything is ok Wine if you're worried get in touch with midwife or gp perhaps.

I'm still lazing in bed this morning dh has done the school run and I'm making the most of it though I think the need to eat is going to drive me up and out in a sec.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 08:45

Blue I'm not going to lie ... I've been counting down the days till Sunday Grin I'm so so excited for you to find out if it's twins!

I've sent a copy of my resignation to myself via recorded delivery. Work are refusing to take responsibility for processing my leaving, but I'll be out for on the 11th of June. I'm not sticking around because of them being unsure who should be responsible for it.

Which gives me six months roughly in my new job! Dreading telling them I'm pregnant.

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 08:58

Haha Zaber me too. So apprehensive.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 09:12

Blue it'll be amazing either way Smile

Carley27 · 12/05/2017 09:52

Hope you're ok wine, if in doubt give EPU or MW a shout, they might do early scan or at least give you some reassurance.

zaber your work certainly aren't making it easy for you to leave! Good for you for taking matters into your own hands.

Also excited for Bluebell's scan - either way you will get a look at your baby/babies :)

Thewinedidit · 12/05/2017 10:01

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. It was just some pink spotting but thankfully seems to have stopped. If it happens again I will phone midwife.

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/05/2017 10:03

Thanks both. I'm just so nervous that something will have gone wrong in the meantime Confused

Someone recommended some soap & glory product for spots before. I can't remember who recommended it or what it was. Can anyone help please? Looking for something that is no risk to baby/babies! Smile

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 10:20

We are 3.5 threads in, and not even out of the first trimester 😂 This must be heading to some sort of mumsnet record!

It was me Blue ! Hang on I'll find a link for you Smile

biginjapan · 12/05/2017 10:23

Hi everyone - sorry I've been a bit out of the loop. Wine, hope you're ok. I'm off for a scan in a sec - v nervous. Have no idea how they will date me as dates seem to be all over the place at the moment. I'll check in after.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 10:24

www.boots.com/soap-and-glory-face-soap-and-clarity-3-in-1-daily-vitamin-c-facial-wash-350-ml-10229293

There you go! I had a look at the ingredients and there's nothing that I know of that we shouldn't be using in there Smile but get a decent moisturiser as it's made mine a little dry.

However, the body shop tea tree range is also fab. Helps hugely with the excess oil. I would be using that, apparently its fine for pregnancy, but I'm no where near a body shop and ran out a few weeks ago.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 10:25

Ohhhhh Japan !

How have you been? Please check in after Smile I'm so excited to see how you're getting on!

In case no one has guessed... my desk is empty today.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 10:29

Sorry! Another thought Blue I have heard really good things about Lush's ultrabland cleanser. You might even be able to get a teeny sample of it.

Beardy1 · 12/05/2017 10:42

zaber I remember you recommending some amazing travel sickness tablets that were okay to take for nausea of doom in pregnancy. Can you send the pic and where you got them from? Do they've really work? S you can see I'm getting desperate!!

Carley27 · 12/05/2017 10:46

It's certainly a chatty thread!

Ooh I might try some of your suggestions zaber, my skin has improved a lot this week (for now anyway), but I need a new face wash as the one I was using contains salicylic acid and it seems debatable whether this is safe in pregnancy.

Good luck for the scan Japan!

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 10:52

Beardy, mine were prescribed. I'm not sure if you can get them over the counter! They are amazing though, I've tried several others and this is all that's worked. My GP rang the local hospital and that's what the midwife there recommended.

I think it's Avonine? I'll double check when I get home!

I feel a bit funny about it too Carley. To be fair though there's a good selection without it in it, so I'd rather not take the risk.

Peachi82 · 12/05/2017 10:53

I have my booking appointment next week Friday 😊 managed to get an afternoon appointment, so I can go to work as well.

Still really crampy. Intermittently crying, not feeling on top form. My boyfriend is convinced that everything is well, I'm more convinced I have an abnormal disease that behaves like pregnancy but actually isn't.

Beardy1 · 12/05/2017 10:58

zaber thanks for that. Ones of my friends recommended over the counter travel sickness meds so thought you'd managed to find something like that. I'm hesitant to get prescribed something by the drs as I know they will put me on the standard crap such as metrocolopamide or cyclizine and they have rubbish side effects.

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 11:00

Peachi Grin I cried last night because DH had a Boost bar, rather than the very specific bar I wanted. I had a tantrum and he laughed ... bastard.

It does feel like you're loosing your mind. But Peachi I can confirm you're pregnant Grin the hormones really don't help!

Zaberwocky · 12/05/2017 11:01

Beardy just say you've been recommended this, and you haven't responded well to those medications in the past. It's your body, you get to choose what to put in it. Smile

Brens13 · 12/05/2017 11:07

I'm getting some pregnant lady rage at my midwife, even though I've never met or spoken to her. This is because I left her a voicemail on Wednesday morning and still haven't heard back. Left another one at about 10 this morning as I think this is pretty poor lack of response, but I'm not the most patient person at the best of times so may be overreacting.
