Kitcaty, it doesn't matter if the line is lighter compared to the control line. The line you have there is a very strong line!

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 10:59

hotpink, I'm sure she just referred you as she'd rather be safe than sorry! Cramps are completely normal in (early) pregnancy, as your uterus starts growing.
I myself suffer from abdominal pain on and off. It is due to having ovarion cysts that sometimes push against a nerve and cause pain, but they are nothing to worry about. The midwife will just monitor them to see if they grow or stay the same size (or even shrink/disappear). So most pains are nothing to worry about! Hope your appointment goes well!

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 11:00

serendipper, congratulations! Weird about the 16 weeks comment, maybe they meant 12?

Hotpinkangel19 · 09/05/2017 11:04

Thank you @Fattycowagain. She scared me as she said that where I felt the pain when she examined me was the place they worry about for eptopic x

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 11:21

But that would be about the same place my cyst pain is. It hard to tell from the outside! Just so you know, they'll probably want to do an internal scan. It doesn't hurt, but it is a bit intimate to have a stranger shove a dildo up your foof!

Hotpinkangel19 · 09/05/2017 11:49

Oh no 🙈

millsbynight · 09/05/2017 12:05

Thanks for all the love re the list ladies! I'll try update it every couple of days.

So it's just me with the awful morning sickness? I had to leave work this morning as I was gagging all over the place and scaring my colleagues. Really don't know what to do as it seems like I'll have another horrendous pregnancy like I did with DS. I'm going to give my line-manager a call this afternoon to tell her I'm pregnant and see if I can drop down to 2-3 days a week rather than the 4 I currently do. I'm doing the maths and we can just about get away with me not working at all if it comes to that.

God I feel like shit. Just curled up in the foetal position in bed watching rubbish daytime tv.

Hotpink sorry that you're worrying! You'll have an answer either way tomorrow but try to take it easy until then x

usedtorun · 09/05/2017 12:18

Hoptpink I had an ectopic pregnancy in December. Started bleeding at 9.4 weeks so got referred to EPU and diagnosed from there. I didn't have any pain initially, just an uncomfortable area on my right side which niggled when I turned in bed, got up etc. I actually felt silly mentioning it to the EPU as it didn't really hurt, but glad I did as ended up needing surgery to remove a Fallopian tube due to how far along I was and hormone levels.

Not sure if this is helpful, but thought I'd share my experience.

Hopefully for you, it is just normal pregnancy cramps and all will be well, good luck for tomorrow.

pebble82 · 09/05/2017 13:02

hotpink try not to worry yet. Another person's experience doesn't make it any more or less likely to happen to you. Cramps and twinges' are very normal. Hope the EPU can put your mind at ease.

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 13:43

Neavesa, congratulations and welcome!

GruffaloSoldier · 09/05/2017 13:48

millsbynight I'm suffering too! Luckily I work from home so I am having lots of breaks. Usually eating helps with the nausea but today I'm finding hard to eat anything. I've also been exhausted so keep having to have naps in the day to keep going for school picks up and all the after school clubs running around I do! Insomnia at night is not helping! It's very unlike me to have trouble sleeping at night!

Thanks for the list Smile

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 14:02

I'm feeling sick as well. It is horrible at work, as I'm a teacher at a secondary school for children with learning disabilities. No taking it easy and hardly a chance to run to the loo if needed. I hope I can make it until 12 weeks without telling work...

Neavesa · 09/05/2017 14:13

Thank you Smile congratulations to you as well x

ImBreakingBad · 09/05/2017 14:14

There's nothing quite like projectile vomiting in the office to arouse suspicions! God I feel awful - and I think it's excellent!

Sophsta · 09/05/2017 14:17

I'm so tired today. Can barely keep my eyes open!

rabbitstail · 09/05/2017 14:25

Welcome Neavesa and congratulations! How far along are you? Fingers crossed that you have a good experience this time x

The sickness seems to be spreading as I'm feeling it too today, I've never actually been sick during pregnancy before, only felt a little sick. I hope it's not here to stay!

Neavesa · 09/05/2017 14:35

Hi Rabbitstail
Congratulations to you toSmile I'm just 5 weeks. Not having many symptoms as yet just starving hungry all day and feeling sick in the afternoon. Luckily I work across several offices so if I look rough today it will be another week before they see me again!!

Fattycowagain · 09/05/2017 14:42

Argh, my boobs hurt! I need my eldest to come and nurse, as that really relieves the pressure...

SJ1989 · 09/05/2017 16:29

I'm feeling the nausea too! Have been for about a week but it's gradually getting worse!
Been to see the midwife today which was a bit pointless as she just made me a booking in appointment, the soonest is the 24th at 1:45 when I will be 8 weeks, problem is I go away that night and was meant to be leaving for the airport at about 3:30 :-/ but don't want to wait an extra 2 weeks before booking in don't actually fly till 6:30 so just may not be at the airport the recommended 2 hours before!

Kirsty157 · 09/05/2017 16:38

I can't remember how long the booking appointment takes SJ, but you might make it out in time
Sympathies to all you ladies suffering morning sickness, I've been feeling terrible again today. I start off the day ok then it gets progressively worse. I'm sat at my desk waiting to leave work and literally just want to hurl :(

ImBreakingBad · 09/05/2017 17:13

Has anyone else been getting cramps? My hips are pretty achey along with the top of my inside thighs!

I also just made a failed attempt to catch the train home and I had a few sharp pulls after I stopped running. I'm scared now!!!

bunanarama · 09/05/2017 17:23

Hi all! Hope it's ok if I join in! Think I'm due 2nd Jan, so 6 weeks today - will be number 1. Tested 2 weeks ago and got 2-3 on a clearblue, then got 3+ at the weekend so all going in the right direction. Bit worried about brown spotting at the moment, seeing GP tomorrow and hoping they will side with the logical side of my brain that it's nothing to worry about!
Finding these early days and uncertainty tough so will be good to have some people here to share with! Posted off my self referral to midwife today which makes it a bit more real!

So far a few cramps last week. No boob pain, but they've started to look weird and I think they've grown already! This week it seems like the nausea is starting to kick in a bit - hubby found it hilarious that I was gagging on the walk to work yesterday Hmm

Congrats to everyone else Smile

mrsb87 · 09/05/2017 17:42

I've had a few twinges, but assuming it's just things moving around a bit?
Omg...I've cut and coloured 2 friends hair today with toddler around. I'm done in, totally ready for bed. This is the worst thing for me right now, just totally shattered.
