Not sure about Carter, wasn't that a chracter in South Park?

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:29

Yes that was my worry...well that and Carter the unstoppable sex machine

Mrsshuvel · 22/03/2007 15:29

I might just need to get used to it though.

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:29

I think south park was actually cartman but its close enough

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:30

Carter was in ER I remember that one

tokentotty · 22/03/2007 15:30

I don't see Carter as chavvy at all to be honest Wash, don't know what other people think but I've never heard it. Probably best if you don't live in East London though as it definitely wouldn't be said with a 't' in it that's for sure.....
And no, I'm not one of life's domestic goddesses on the housework front either. I used to have a male cleaner at my old house and now my mil does it once a week on a Wednesday. Yes, I have no shame...

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:31

I don't think we'll use it - I just keep forgetting when he mentions it

tokentotty · 22/03/2007 15:31

Another name where none of our kids will ever have heard of Carter the unstoppable sex machine by the time their in school!

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:31

TT I am SOOO jealous

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:32

God there weren't many that knew them when I was at school - they all thought I was weird!

Mrsshuvel · 22/03/2007 15:34

I've heard of them but can't remember what they did?

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:37

I don't really remember song names just liked them when I was 15/16. Didn't get that some songs were quite political at the time.

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:39

I can remember a song starting with "when you reach that age, 24/25, your muscles give up, wave a little white flag, and without any warning at all you realise you have become a fat b"

catchy hey?

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 15:41

Anyway George and Carter are our only suggestions so far! No girls names...for some reason I highly doubt we will ever have a girl

kiteflying · 22/03/2007 16:01

Hi all - missed a lot this afternoon it seems. Washersaurus, why are you convinced you won't have a girl?

I am a bit embarrassed about this but what ever that song was you quoted reminded me that I have not done any PF exercises today What's wrong with me?

I like Jesse as a name - Carter will always be the character from ER for me (although I think his first name was in fact John). Jesse reminds me of a cowboy.

pinkranger · 22/03/2007 16:04

carter reminds me of Michael Cane - and i love him!!!!

kiteflying · 22/03/2007 16:10

Pink, I like Noah too. There is an actor in Aus called Noah something, but other than that I have known some primary age kids with the name. Unfortunately in Australia they brought in a police community ed project a few years back called "project Noah" as in "know-a drug dealer?" so the name lost its popularity out there as a result! I hope that doesn't put you off though.

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 16:12

DH's family are ALL male, except for his sister (who is gay). And my bump has a 'boyish' shape about it at the moment!

I haven't done my PF exercises either - promise to do them later.

tokentotty · 22/03/2007 16:13

I can remember that they had one sort of well known song but not much else before their destined fade back into obscurity...

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 16:13

oooh michael caine - I could be warming to the name Carter again. It is one of those that sometimes I like and then sometimes I have serious doubts about.

tokentotty · 22/03/2007 16:14

Oh and as a bizarre coincidence, the guy who played Carter in ER was called Noah Wyle...

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 16:15

The only Noah I can think of is Noah Wyle

kiteflying · 22/03/2007 16:16

Does that mean it is a neat little bump at the front type bump?

Glad to hear your son is better.

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 16:16

TT that is bizarre, we were on same wavelength there!

Washersaurus · 22/03/2007 16:18

Yes bump is at the front again like last time. Sounds terrible but it may be just wishful thinking, as much as I'd obviously love a daughter, all that pink puts me off! And would be much cheaper if we could reuse all DS' stuff
