[Washer also puts hand up to admit she failed with these exercises last time...and is suffering the consequences]

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 11:20

I have started doing them religiously as when the MS was really bad i would have to be careful that a bit of wee didn't come out too. (apologise if that really is too much information). DP would laugh and say i must have a valve that turned everything on at once and make MS and weeing noises which would make me laugh too which would make me wee a bit more . Pelvic floors have definitely helped though. Do them on the platform waiting for train, sitting in the office and while doing the washing up. My pelvic floor is gonna be the strongest muscle i have by the time this baby's here.

Hi everyone. Couldn't get on here yesterday due to PC problems at work. Looks like I missed loads.

I'm still feeling tired most of the time so it doesn't help that dd has woken up around 3am the last 3 nights. I think it's due to her cold. I hope it doesn't carry on much longer.

Going back to hospitals. I'm planning on staying the minimum 6 hours as long as there are no problems or it's not the middle of the night. Last time I stayed one night. Dd slept all night and I only got a few hours sleep because there was so much going on. Also, the midwives were useless and only came to see me when I pressed the emergency button. I would have been much better off at home.

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 14:57

Afternoon Everyone

Babymad - good luck with your scan, thought i had mine on Tuesday, was really excited then checked my appointment and it's not until the week after. Another whole week of waiting to find out the flavour.

Will you be on the telly too?

conkertree · 16/03/2007 15:01

glad to hear you didnt hurt the bump when you fell babymad - bit of luck having a bean bag at the time. I am now quite intruged to watch this programme given all you've said recently, but i imagine if you were watching you'd be shouting at the tv set all the way through.

i have my scan on monday too - what time's yours?

another of my (probably) naive thoughts gill is that i'd rather be in the hospital for a night so that at least we wont be thrown in at the deep end on the first day and will have people around for even just a short time, but thats without factoring in non-sleep etc.

and i suppose its different if its not your first cause you have experience and wont be feeling quite as lost as i expect we will.

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 15:01

Hi GillL hope DD better soon and you can get some rest.

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 15:03

Mrsshuvel NO Way SO shamefull (I didn't even know it was being done, done last june)she is a rubbish mum dont let her fool you, if you watch it, she treats my brothers like dirt due to them being boys she wanted a girl and a girl only, so everytime she had a boy it was past to me to look after and she just said better luck next time they are beautiful healthy, loving boys! And she got with her boyfirend 2 weeks after we put our dad in the grund after he died from cancer, I Could go on about her but I wont!

katybird · 16/03/2007 15:06

Hi everyone, how are you all today?

BabyMad - good luck with the scan, got mine in a few weeks and can't wait! Thank goodness you had a beanbag when you fell over.

My GP is proving to be useless - when I saw him in Jan he told me the mw would give me the free prescriptions form, but when I saw her yesterday she said that was his job! Got the form now but he hasn't signed it (the receptionist said not to bother and the application form should be enough to get free treatment - helpful!). Have to wait till the scan and see if someone will sign it then.

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 15:11

Babymad - sorry, meant to mention about your fall in last post. Brain completely frazzled today. Keep messing up with stupid things at work too. I suppose i should really get off MN and concentrate.

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 15:14

Thats such a shame you don't have a good relationship with your mum. Does she know about your PG?

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 15:36

My gran told her a was PG a few weeks ago, Not seen or spoke to my mother for about almost 2 years (thank god) now, I did have to change my telephone number just before xmas as she was phoning in the middle of the night laughing down the phone (drunk) then putting it down been drinking till drunk now for about 5 years she says she can give up at any time but no one believes her and she also say's she hasn't got a problem!

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 15:50

conkertree My scan is at 2-15/20 I think last time we got there just over a hour early and they seen me within 10 mins so hoping to do the same again this time

stretchmarks · 16/03/2007 15:58

hi All,

Babymad sorry to hear about your mum, it must be hard for you but you sound very strong and I hope you have plenty of other support around you that you can count on.

I've also got my 20 weeks scan on Monday same as you and Conkertree. I can't wait, so excited again to see LO moving around. As long as everything is ok at this scan I'll then be booking a 4D scan which we'll take DS along to aswell.

Uki - I am counting on you to remind me about my pelvic floors, promised myself after last time that I'd do them religously this time but seems to have gone the same way though as my promises to always eat healthy food and exercise frequently though

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 16:01

I've only been strong since my dad died people have noticed I'm no longer a push over any more, which I very much was hen I was living with my mother!

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 16:07

Babymad - It sounds like you have your life sorted with your DH and kids anyway and don't really need her. Well done.

GillL · 16/03/2007 16:18

Thanks MrsShuvel. I'm sure it'll be over soon. It's time dh took a turn anyway.

Conkertree - I would definitely be staying overnight at the hospital if it was my first baby. I'm more confident now I know what do/expect.

GillL · 16/03/2007 16:23

Sorry to hear about your family problems Babymad. Is the program about large and growing families and how they cope? I saw one called 'Fifteen and Counting' a while ago about a very religious American family. It was like the Waltons.

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 16:26

Getting my MIL to make me some Slogan PG t-shirts one of them saying

"Yes it was planned,
Yes hubby is happy about it,
We don't care what flavour it is,
Yes, I know I'm big,
NO I'M NOTHING LIKE MY MOTHER"

What do you think? LOL

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 16:29

Hilarious Babymad

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 16:44

I would love one for the bus and/or train saying "Do you mined I need a seat I'm Pregant not fat"!

Mrsshuvel · 16/03/2007 16:54

That reminds me Babymad someone told me about badges you can get from TFL that say Baby on Board or something along those lines that you can wear on bus / train / tube. I'm gonna look them up. Not sure if i would wear it though, haven't seen anyone else with them.

BabyMadwithBump · 16/03/2007 17:08

I need t-shirt's, as I'm a jeans a t-shirt girl and it'll save me money getting them from MIL, I'm to big now for normal clothes and I need more MAT-clothes, and I think t-shirts are ideal and nice in the summer and I can design them muself cant ask for more than that, My MIL sell's them for £14.99/19.99 but I can get them for £10 with what ever I want on them, !
