Just thought I'd better kick a new one off...
Another day, another tearful outburst at work! It's getting very embarrassing Is it just me who feels like crying at the drop of a hat? Maybe it's lack of sleep, just not dealing very well with things that would not normally bother me, then something really small sets me off. cried in the toilets for 20 minutes today! Can't even explain why. Is this normal still at this stage?

Meant to post yesterday but ran out of time. Foxy, twunt is the best word i've ever heard!!

Well, I went to a different M&S yesterday and they had no boys clothes in the sale. Tonnes of lovely girls things but nothing for boys. I texted my mum and it turns out it's because she had been in that afternoon and bought all of the boys stuff. Seriously. I went over to hers this morning and she'd bought every item they had I think. Bless her - First Grandchild syndrome has kicked in I think!

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 13:57

ahhh, bless your mum!

Twunts great huh? Confess I got it off here, but its just SO perfect for FP!

marylou23 · 24/03/2007 16:06

I also went to M&S today - didn't get as far as the clothes dept; got waylaid in food. Has anyone tried their extra-chocolatey chocolate orange biscuits? Just had two and they laid me out for half an hour. Divine
Will remember twunt. So descriptive. So... right.

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 16:22

ohh, they sound nice! Saw something on here about belgian choc covered strawberries too. yum!

Twunt! Can't wait to shout it at him!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/03/2007 16:25

OMG - mammoth catch up and I just can't get to the end!!!! Wanted to say to H&A that I was just diagnosed with SPD a couple days ago. My GP has signed me off work for 4 weeks and I've to refer myself to physio - planned on calling them on Mon, didn't realise there may be a prob with getting appt. GP also said I will have to wear a corset!!!Physio will advise. Anyway, I have been doing pg yoga class and went today as usual. The yoga teacher was able to modify all the poses for me and gave me some poses to do at home. Also warned me to be v. careful with my posture and showed me how to climb stairs in a ridiculous, Charlie-Chaplin style way, bum stuck out, knees bent and legs apart. I seriously can't imagine going back to work and taking my class of 10 year olds up and down the stairs like that!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 24/03/2007 17:00

lol tallulah!! My mw told me to go up and down stairs on my bum! No point seeing my dr as there's nothing they can do about it as there is no physio in my area! It is worse today as I went shopping! I was good and wore flats, but it still took its toll. Walking far makes it a lot worse, but I can't stay in and sit on my arse all day! I now have shooting pains up my legs and can't sit comfortably! Sorry, it's just moan, moan, whinge, whinge with me!! Hope you get an appt tallulah!

I love those little choccie biccies you get in a tub from M&S marylou! I could easily eat a whole tub! Mmmmm....!

Hope your dp isn't still being a twunt foxy! (((HUGS))) if he is xx

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 24/03/2007 17:16

BTW if anyone lives near a Blooming Marvellous they have BOGOF on all their sale stuff. I bought 4 maternity tops for £18! Bargain! Also had some lovely baby clothes, but alas they were all girly !

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 17:19

Ouch! Tullulahbelle and Holly. Sounds nasty. I don't really know what it is. Is it going to get progressively worse or can it improve? would pilates help?

He's actually been nice to me, on the phone anyway, Holly. He's still away. Read it as 'is he still being a twunty fox' which made me laugh!!

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 17:20

ooh, Holly, I do, I do and I'll be there tomorrow morning! You are clever, aren't you?!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 24/03/2007 18:09

It will get worse according to my mw! The worst thing is is that I don't drive, so to get anywhere I have to walk, which is useful!

Glad your p is being nice to you foxy. Is he still an fp or is he a dp again? The Blooming Marvellous sale was brill. There wasn't much in it, but it was all BOGOF and there were things like highchairs and those popup travel cots as well. Things that I couldn't justify buying as I already have! I'm always one for a bargain!!

LOL at "twunty fox" !

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 20:18

So will it go when baby is out (do you know what you are having BTW?), or is it going to be one of those ongoing ailments?

Don't know about FP being DP. Twunty Fox seems to be sticking, so TF!

nannyjo · 24/03/2007 20:42

blimey!! I've been silently moaning to myself cos i'm sick of downing yucky gaviscon. Poor you guys!

catkin555 · 24/03/2007 21:12

Lots of sympathy for al those with SPD. Sounds very horrid. I was also feeling sorry for myself due to need for biggest comsumption of gaviscon yet to date but I'll stop now and send you all happy hip and pelvis vibes!

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 21:13

Since seeing what Gaviscon has been referred to on MN, I've had to switch to the tablets!

derlor · 24/03/2007 21:23

hey holly, do you have a gym ball? i had similar story to you last pg and sat rocking back and forth on my gym ball for several hours on end in the evenings - it was the only way i found to relax in relatively less pain.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 24/03/2007 21:25

Ahhhhh...a hot bath def sorts out the aches and pains! One question though- why do Lush put sticks in their bath products? Yes it smells yummy and is prob really good for you, but if I'd have wanted dead foliage in my bath I'd have gone for a roll in the garden first! Some of the sticks are so big they don't wash down the plughole!

At least your p is a fox foxy! Surely that can't be a bad thing (even if it is a twunty one!).

Interestingly enough I've been craving Gaviscon tablets, enough though I haven't really suffered from indigestion! I can't get enough of the chalky taste..mmmm!! Maybe there's something in them that my body wants, it's crazy!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 24/03/2007 21:26

Oooo delor I do have a gym ball, that's a really good idea, I'd not even thought about it! I shall inflate it and test it tomorrow. Thanks!!

derlor · 24/03/2007 21:32

ALSO, i feel like Dr Ruth here!!! something that works well for indegestion ladies is loveheart sweeties - as recommended to me by my mw in a previous life - they work a treat, can't stand the sight of them during this pg however as i think i raised their share price in 2004 with the amount of packets i comsumed!

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 21:35

ohh, derlor, liking lovehearts rather than 'minty sperm' (hey, I didn't come up with it!!) You are a font of knowledge. I too will be pumping up my exercise ball tomorrow. Well done you.

Er, wasn't Dr Ruth a sex doctor?

derlor · 24/03/2007 21:37

oh woops was she well maybe i could think of a few tips on that too!!!!!!!!!!!!any questions anyone??????

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 21:37

oh don't get me started....

mummyjx · 24/03/2007 22:15

Hi then, I'll join in here if that's ok. I haven't read the whole thread - sitting at computer starting to make me dizzy.
Actually feel crap again, but today feel FAT and crap, which is worse.
Bugger, will have to go and lie down, don't want to have fainted on the keyboard when DH gets in from work... I'll be back.

foxybrown · 25/03/2007 10:13

hello mummyjx, hope DH didn't come home to find you slumped over the keyboard! Feeling better today?

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/03/2007 11:25

Lovehearts? - sounds an improvement on Rennies. Did wonder if Refreshers might be good, cos the fruit Rennies taste a bit like them. I've had vicious heartburn all the way through and the Gaviscon etc hasn't helped at all. When I went to see doc about SPD mentioned the h/b n she said at this stage (29 weeks) is safe to take other medication and prescribed Ranitidine. Finally, some relief, they stop the acid being produced so now I only have very mild h/b rather than waking in the middle of the night thinking I'm having heart attack. And its a tablet so no yucky taste and slimy consistency. Glad about that now I've read foxy's descripton.

nikie1 · 25/03/2007 11:45
