Just thought I'd better kick a new one off...
Another day, another tearful outburst at work! It's getting very embarrassing Is it just me who feels like crying at the drop of a hat? Maybe it's lack of sleep, just not dealing very well with things that would not normally bother me, then something really small sets me off. cried in the toilets for 20 minutes today! Can't even explain why. Is this normal still at this stage?

Anyone got any suggestions for relief from rib pain. I can feel these sharp, stitch like pains, quite high up and I'm sure its my ribs expanding to fit bambino in, but it bloody hurts and is sending shooting pains up my neck and making my arm hurt.

Whinge, whinge, moan, moan.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 12:47

Just looked back through and you changed your name from strawberri! I knew someone did that and I wasn't sure who it was. I'll add you on now!!

I get that sometimes foxy, it's nasty and makes you gasp, which makes the pain worse! I don't know how to fix it though sorry! Hope you are ok and not feeling too cross with your fsp (s=spanner)! I can tell your hair looks lovely!

mytwocents · 23/03/2007 12:51

Yes my fault H , remember now I changed my name from strawberri...
So Sorry foxy, can you possibly go swimming? Is my cure all at the moment, when there's time.
So, have three different due dates as the midwife, doc and sonographer (love that word!) all came up with two days apart. I've averaged it as 28-06-07 so don't worry foxy and sputnik, It's my first so I'll prob be last........

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 12:59

Thanks Holly - am not cross anymore - sent him a barrage of text messages telling him how unappreciative he is yadayadayada. I can now eat the 12 profiteroles I bought in waitrose yesterday with justification now!!

Mytwocents - hmmm, my first was on the day, so you never know!

marylou23 · 23/03/2007 13:16

Am thinking of changing my monicker to 'Storm in an A Cup'.
Not that I'm still preoccupied with my cup size or anything...
Foxy, you go girl, you tell that spanner his behaviour just won't do..

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 13:35

ah-ha, I was questioning padded maternity bras just the otherday Marylou

I have officially arrived as a Mumnetter! I had my first row on a thread!

Yippeeeee!!!!

Daisybump · 23/03/2007 14:03

Thanks for sorting out the stats...I'm useless at that sort of thing. Are we boob obsessed or what....not as bad as some though. Caught a thread last night discussing self-weaning and one womans son (think he was about three)comes to her bed and helps himself in the middle of the night if he wakes up. Eeeew...am I the only one to think that that is wrong on so many levels...I mean I'm all for breast feeding, but only until they can ask for it (or help themself for that matter). But each to their own I suppose.

Started the weekend off with a bang this morning by reversing into our front wall, breaking the cover on my rear lights, scraping the bumper to hell and back and demolishing the wall. Then I couldn't get out the drive because of the big lumps of stone in the drive and had to wait for DH to come back from the school drop off to move it out of the way....and could only find sellotape with which to repair it. Just what we need when all spare cash needs to go into the baby pot...ah well who needs nappies anyway!!

On the due dates, I'll probably be later than the 10th if DS anything to go by. He was due by my LMP on 20th May, but scan said 13th and after being induced on 23rd he was finally born on 25th. This time around, I have 18/06 by my LMP, 1st scan said 13th then dating scan said 10th. They go on head circumference, and DS has overly large head for his age (wears hats for 10 yr olds and is not quite 5!!). So, if this LO is the same (which is odd as I have a bit of a pin head thing going on and hats are always too big for me, I wear Nike Youth baseball caps!) the date of the 18th will be nearer the mark. But then again, I'm going to Scotland for a long weekend on 18th May by train and knowing my luck LO will be born in the toilet somewhere between Durham and Newcastle!! Imagine, no town of birth on the birth certificate!!

Foxy, have a profiterole for me please. I'm having a serious chocolate withdrawal as I haven't had any since Wednesday...I'm so forgetful now that I'd forgotten there is a huge bag of minstrels in the fridge. I'm sitting look at my nice and healthy fruit salad thinking ".....if only for some hot chocolate fudge sauce"!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 14:22

LOL Daisy! What a way to start the day!

I confess, I'm a bit icky about extreme BF. I know I shouldn't be because each to their own and wot not, but I'm not comfortable with it either.

I've been on here far too long today. Having one of those days.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 16:10

for your poorly car daisy! Hopefully it won't be too expensive to fix. I'm with you on the bfing. I fed my dd for 13 months, by which point she had started to ask for it and lift up my top! I had awful "bitty" images and stopped! I think I really wanted my body back for a while and my poor dp was too scared to touch me in case he got squirted!

Hope your choc and cream fest was nice foxy. I really fancy some now! Maybe I'll make something, I have some cream in the fridge..mmmm! What was your arguement about? You didn't get involved in a weaning or breastfeeding thread did you? They are really scary!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 16:15

nah, someone started a thread by saying "where are all the educated informed mumsnetters who don't send their kids to macd's, dont drink when pg, and don't watch american tv shows like DH and Lost". I took offence to her rudeness. She eventually told me to piss off because she couldn't form and conduct an argument without resorting to it. It was fun!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 16:31

Yeah I saw that thread this morning! She got shot down in flames didn't she! Just reread it with your comments! Stupid bitch, she is so up her own arse she is almost inside out! I don't go to McD's or drink whilst pg (well the odd small lager!) or watch much American trash. Does that mean I can be her friend? I hope it does, maybe I'll post on the thread now and see if we can meet up!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 16:37

All you Ocado addicts I just received this email. "Place an order over £80 for delivery between Saturday 24th and Friday 30th March and during the checkout click the 'Voucher' tab on the trolley page. Enter the voucher code VOU5364658, click 'Add' and we'll take £10 off your bill. And then enter the code COU7135050 and you can choose a cookery book to add to your order for free." Thought I'd share this offer with you!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 16:41

Fab! Thanks!

Thats what I love about Ocado. I don't shop on it all the time, and find that they send you these things if you are irregular. With your custom that is!

So Holly, hows the SPD? Have you had a restful day.

Am going to try and get a swim in on Sunday, mytwocents. Thanks

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 16:42

And Holly, you will have to choose between us you know!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 16:47

I'm feeling ok today, till hurts, but hasn't got any worse. Can I please be your friend foxy? She's far too scary!

Daisybump · 23/03/2007 19:21

Hey Foxy....just read thrugh the informed and educated thread...she wasn't nice to you at all now was she? I think I know her from another thread ansd she's always been very nice there.....blame it on the hormones! Entertaining stuff though!!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 19:45

She fancies herself as a bit of a politician apparently.

I LOVE this time of day! 2 out of 3 sleeping, 1 reading quietly in bed - oh no he's just appeared to tell me he loves me! Awww! All fed well (had a roast and introduced DS2 and DD to profiteroles with strawberries and warm choc sauce! SO GOOD!)
House is clean and tidy, jobs done (for today) and no FP due home! In pj's, and have even cleansed, toned and moisturised!! God I've done well.

Shame my relationship is such a shambles!

derlor · 23/03/2007 19:51

Foxy i'm SO jealous of you - i'm just in from work by 3 and 7 yr olds running riot around the house dh not due home for another hour, i've had nothing to eat since lunchtime and think that a good cry will do me well right now or maybe this AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH yup, slightly better i'm off to organise my life!!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 20:05

Time for them to have some independent play whilst you have a cuppa and a sit down!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 23/03/2007 20:17

I'm with you foxy! My dd is just having her bottle, then it's off to bed with her. That leaves me enough time to make a bowl of popcorn and settle down to watch American Idol! My dp has gone out so it's my tv night! Hooray!

Delor, have something really yucky and fattening to eat! That will make you feel better!

foxybrown · 23/03/2007 20:40

mmm, I have left over roast potatoes and 3 episodes of the first series of Footballers Wives to watch.

Wanna come round to mine Derlor? Still got some of those profiteroles left... DH must be home by now!

Annobal -

Sorry guys, well done for the hard work but my due date is the 18th not 19th (sorry H&A) - race you marylou!

Sorry to hear about FWCSP-FP foxy. Is it really that bad? Or is he just being a typical PITA? Hope he pulls his socks up soon.

Just been to the osteopaths. He was lovely and it was very good but I hated it! I'm just so not a clicky bone person and freaked out every time he tried to do stuff! But although I didn't like the process I could feel the relief in my body afterwards. He basically clicked every bone in my body! And he wiggled my legs to show me how tight my sacro-iliac joint on my left side was and how much looser it was afterwards. And he did a bit of cranial osteopathy too. He basically said he help all the things that are afflicting me, heartburn, palpitations, joint problems, headaches. He also thinks that he can help me prepare for my labour. Something to do with loosening up the SI joints and allowing the coccyx to move and make more room for the baby to come out, lessening the need for an episotomy. Don't know if it's true but I'm willing to give it a try. Anyway, I let you all know how my aches and pains go over the next week. Feel good though, even if I did want to vomit every time he popped a bone!

Btw thanks to your rodent stories I dreamed that I gave birth to a mouse last night !

thanks for the offer foxy - things calmed right down now, dd in bed asleep dh home and playing on his new playstation 3 with ds and i have just polished off a mountain of cheese on toast with cranberry and red onion chutney yumafu**inroonie. profiteroles sound magic though - perhaps i feel a late evening visit to the shops coming on..........mmmmmmmm
Already feeling quite FAT today as 4 people at my work said "my goodness you are getting big!!!" (I KNOW, I'M EFFING PREGNANT)- someone even said "your face is still thin though" - presumably she thought i should have some of the baby stuffed in my cheeks!! maybe this has added to my earlier stress - i've measured and i can wrap 8.5 pieces of toilet roll round me - is that big? what is everyone else measuring?

foxybrown · 24/03/2007 11:22

euwwww, bumperlicious! thats gross!! That's interesting about the osteopath getting you sorted for birthing, though. You've reminded me that you get a bit of a shock, don't you when they yank something and you go 'click'.
Yes, FP is being a PITA. We haven't connected in ages, and I think we need to make some effort with each other. I find it all too easy to switch off to him when he's being a dickhead and get stuck into doing my job (home and kids). The upside is the kids are happy and my home is organised. Kinda worth it in my over-controlling book!

LOL about 'baby stuffed in your cheeks' derlor pmsl!

Hope everyone is well today. Have had some relief from rib pain and a good sleep!
