#TTC1 - Second Wave grads thread the Second!

Hello all! Welcome to the second thread for the 'new wave' of grads from #TTC1 - the first wave ladies seem to have decamped en masse to Facebook now (I heard weaning mentioned last time I ventured onto it) so this is now officially the place to be!

We're pretty spread out over the pregnancy journey so far with some newbies and some about to pop I'll try to maintain a list so if anybody wants to leave details of due dates and whether you're Team Blue, Pink or Vanilla (I think we're pretty heavily skewed towards Pink at the moment) then leave your details and I'll amalgamate them!

As Moose mentioned in our last thread, please do feel free to join in if this is your first time walking this weird and wonderful path - there is no such thing as TMI and we're all learning off each other!

Music I understand what you mean by the Christmas comment. Yeah I want to give myself a job to do each day & make sure I get some time to relax too.

Wanting that's annoying of your MIL. What is it about them?! I swear I won't be a MIL from hell with our little boy.
To be honest it has to be more than 1.5 stone as I last weighed myself a while ago & it really packs on in the 3rd trimester doesn't it. My feet are really swollen & I can't wear my wedding ring anymore. I love my ball, it's quite fun bouncing on it. Have you tried nip stimulation? It's meant to be v effective.

MrsG that's so good about the walking. I want to go for a walk each day now I've finished work. I'm going to start raspberry leaf tablets at 37 weeks, when did you start yours? FX you don't have too long to wait.

Star I've been taking RL tablets since 34 weeks, 2 a day but then a few days ago I started taking 3 a day instead. I think if you're drinking tea you start on one cup then build up to three or more a day anyway.

I'm not sure how effective the walking is because I walk the dog quite often anyway so not really a shock to the system but I'm just happy to still be this active at this stage!

To those that asked yes I am planning on finding out the sex tomorrow.

Partners nan and step mom a little tricky at times. The former kept asking if we would be married before the baby arrived and asked if this was something we were happy about and the latter insisted I must sit down as I'm pregnant (aka an invalid obvs) yet only 20'weeks and can easily stand for 20 mins or so without issue yet in the same convo said they would all be rounds ours at Christmas in our new kitchen (having a massive building job done at the moment with a garage conversion) while they cuddled the baby and I made Christmas dinner.....

You've totally got this, kav. Go with what feels right for you at each stage and you'll be having newborn cuddles in no time!!

I've been following this thread but never get round to posting! All going fairly smoothly at the mo. 22+5 with a pretty wriggly baby. Currently trying to get the house in order, we're getting a new bathroom in Sept and need to decorate nursery, hall and spare room before baby makes an appearance so trying to make the most of feeling good and not too big.

Can't wait to hear the new baby news coming up this month. I remember that flurry of BFP and can't believe they're nearly here in baby form!!

Glad all is well with you macs, you're just behind me, I'm 23+4 😊 We need to do nursery too but not getting very far at all!

Sorry about your MIL starmist, I think the mostly do try to mean well but sometimes it's like like you say though, it makes you realise what not to be like with your own

Approaching 12 weeks now music & at the majorly awkward stage of having to find the baggyest clothes I own & safety pinning trousers as scan isn't for another week!! I do know what you mean about waiting for Christmas etc too, it's such a broad range of time during which they could make an appearance!

Congrats glittery! Still waiting here - though funnily enough my waters broke naturally last night!! There was a little meconium in them though which meant they still had to induce me- had one pessary and then they put me on a drip. Unfortunately not all my waters were broken which cushioned me from pain, so after gas and air they broke them and we're starting over again. I'll let you know what happens :)

Nothing yet for me, still walking an hour a day but it seems baby girl isn't shifting yet.

Aww yay for your blue news glittery I keep calling my bump 'he' or 'him' so convinced it's a boy, going to have a surprise though I think.

I got a mountain bike yesterday, wasn't sure whether to or not but thought what the hell. Just went for a bike ride and had such a nice time, great to get some fresh air!

36 + 1 now. Finished my hospital bag finally at the weekend & I've just packed baby's bag. Only DH's left to do but he doesn't need much!

Well it finally happened! Had to be by c-section after I wasn't progressing at all in over 24 hrs - count another for team Pink. Coraline arrived at about 12:40 this morning, weighing 8lb 2oz and we're both head over heels for her already _ DH is brilliant with her :)

CONGRATULATIONS MUMMY KAV 🍦🎂🎉🎊 AND WELCOME TO THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL BABY CORALINE! !!

Post EMCS tips.
•Plenty of fluids.
•Take it easy.
• When you are discharged, don't very fobbed off with paracetamol, insist on dyhydracodeine or similar.
• Flat V Shaped pillows, one for behind you, one for resting bubs on on your lap.
• have everything you need in a little basket next to you on couch or in bed. (Couple of nappies, wipes, muslin, bum cream, fresh dummy, phone charger, painkillers.)
• They will probably give you hospital strength iron tablets, fibre is your new friend. Lots of fibre.
