My God - I go off to make a phone call and it's all gone mad!!

Octopussy - the BH I had on Saturday night were painful enough to make me cry, and yes, I did have to breathe through them. But as 1b3 says, I was also constipated at the time . I've had 2 nights now with bloody painful braxton hicks keeping me awake and coming every 5 mins at times - first time I was convinced I was going into labour! Second time knew no such bloody luck, just getting no sleep!

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 16:40

maveta, are you not shopping at the Mercadona? Always excellent food in there... except peaches and plums at wrong time of year

octopussyintummy · 27/02/2007 16:40

" think you slather on the oil, put one foot on the side of the bath, and give the whole thing a good kneading between fingers and thumb - you can feel the band of muscle that needs working. I think you are aiming just to get suppleness and bank up the lubrication " PMSL PMSL - would be okay if could get leg on side of bath! But will give it a go later!

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 16:40

I am due 11th April

octopussyintummy · 27/02/2007 16:42

Bramshott - with ds2 I had contractions five minutes apart for 4 hours on the three sundays running up to his birth - think he wanted to get out and watch Top Gear Know what you mean though - everytime it started I would get really excited and then it would stop - have to say certainly knew when it was the real thing - different pain altogether.

maveta · 27/02/2007 16:43

Well the thing is, I haven´t read anything about perineal massage anywhere except on here... just presumed it was outside only.. hmm.. investigation required..

weeonion · 27/02/2007 16:44

maveta - emailed you an info sheet on the massage

octopussyintummy · 27/02/2007 16:45

and I thought it was perennial! ROFL

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 16:45

ahahaha octo - I cut my toenails on sunday!

not sure if you want to reach infront of or behind thigh with foot on bath -

Actually my idea was to (please look away offendables) fix vibrator to the floor at suitable height and angle, from knees lower self onto vibrator to acheive correct perineal contact, on all fours attempt to crawl away along the floor to get a good stretching action

whaddya reckon? Not sure how I would fix vibrator though...

1becomes3 · 27/02/2007 16:46

What you lot can still reach those parts? I struggle to wipe properly, and bugger me trying to piss into those silly testubes they give you, well it goes eveywhere.

octopussyintummy · 27/02/2007 16:46

pmsl! Like a scud missile!

1becomes3 · 27/02/2007 16:47

suction cups!

octopussyintummy · 27/02/2007 16:48

why not just squat over the taps?

mammyjo · 27/02/2007 16:48

Hellcat, pmsl!!

1becomes3 · 27/02/2007 16:49

You have to think can your legs hold up you weight while squatting, I know mine would buckle.

maveta · 27/02/2007 16:50

weeoonion - thanks! and more importantly, thank you for your sympathy and understanding regarding the numerous food based troubles I am going through. The aubergines were quite lovely in fact, must learn how to make them.

Hellcat - but what I need to know is are all digits EXTERIOR during this massage? And I was indeed in Mercadona just today, lovely new one opened up near me that is always empty, it´s fab, how I would imagine it would be if they closed up the shop so you could do a trolley dash. Though not much dashing happening lately, you can imagine. Don´t tend to get my fruit and veg from there though.. I object to being forced to buy only 6 peaches or 4 apples or 3 red peppers (all prepackaged). I have strong principles.

My boss just called me, she seems to be under the impression I am working today. The question is, do I tell her to leave me alone and I´ll be in tomorrow, or pretend I HAVE been working today..

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 16:51

Think you are onto something there with the taps octopussy

just spotted that you can buy something called 'preconditioning down under' oil... for £16.50!

Just going to use my bump stuff which I don't put on the bump cos its too oily... Palmers cocoa butter lotion is the best moisturiser in the world, I have been using it forever.

weeonion · 27/02/2007 16:57

maveta- go on - be bad and tell a bare faced lie that you were workign at home. serious stills research - she doesnt need to know the intimacies of perineal massage - no non-pregnant woman does really!

as far as i am aware - there is definite interior and exterior didget action...

hellcat - i like the way you are thinking - i like a woman who approaches problems from a different angle. not sure my vibrator would withstand this pregnant bulk balanced on it tho'. i envisage terible scenes of ambulances, unwanted lube and oil spillages, unsuspecting pussycats, taps in orifices and stretched nippls. maybe it has all got a bit mixed up for me - maybe an epistiotmy is the way ahead after all??

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 16:58

Maveta, I think all your fingers want to be inside and perhaps grippng on the outside with your thumb...you might get a bit more purchase with your thumb in your bottom...

I will practise tomorrow and let you know what worked.....

yeah, it sucks having a plastic bag and a foam tray on all your fruit and veg... what I really, really, really miss is the mercadona fish counter, and the icecream...and drinking yogurt...

And going in there just to hang out in the aircon in August...plus they do a good handcream that's packaged to look like the neutragena norwegian stuff....and good toothbrushes

charNbump · 27/02/2007 16:58

Hey all! back again - ok being part of a threesome sounds good - now where's ellieK's email address? and blimey this thread is confusing!lol

1becomes3 · 27/02/2007 17:00

Char have you met hellcat?
say hello to your new buddy!
Neither of you are having sections are you?

charNbump · 27/02/2007 17:00

1becomes3 - i am due 18th april x

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 17:04

do you know what right - I got a load of bumpf from the nct and when I opened the envelope, the first thing I saw was a brochure for the 'valley cushion' for your torn/episiotted parts.

Thanks nct!

Well bloody hell, I really do not want to go there... do they charge for an elective cesarean?

Actually I heard you get less tearing in water so might try that option... but urk, and when I learned how bits just drop out of you for weeks afterwards and you sit in your hormones covered in breastmilk and meconium it all sounds extremely feral, reeking and disgusting, and I am no princess!

charNbump · 27/02/2007 17:05

1becomes3 - i'm slighlty confused

No haven't really met hellcat - hello hellcat!! no, not having a section....well not that i'm aware of, lol

Hellcat · 27/02/2007 17:05
