We had our anomaly scan yesterday (bit early at 19+1), but all looking fine. We chose not to know gender (first child so an extra surprise to get me through labour Wink ) and doctor was very surprised - am assuming that living abroad, a lot of people must ask for cultural reasons. Finally started to feel movement which is reassuring as was worried with the whole anterior placenta thing - and a bit amazed at how strong/noticeable they've got just in 3 days (have gone from the occasional nudge at the end of last week, to small kicks that DH can now feel). Almost halfway - this is going way too fast!

themoonandsixpence · 30/01/2017 11:22

Vegan I do hope you get some rest this week as well as some help

VeganMama83 · 30/01/2017 12:53

Thanks moon no rest for the wicked. DH has had today off too so we are cracking on with more unpacking/jobs whilst oldest is at pre school and we only have one little helper here at home with us! Actually got more done in last few hours than the previous 3 days!

Totally underestimated how many toys my boys have and have filled an ikea 16 slot kallax (not inc their books and big boxed toys like their marble run and massive puzzles! Need another bit of storage for their room!

21+2 and very strong kicks and movement now almost all through out the day!

At 21weeks my sickness has finally passed and I'm even starting to feel excited! In NI they don't measure the nuchal fold or do blood tests for chromosome abnormalities so that's still a worry for me Confused

weloveearlysleeptime · 30/01/2017 13:45

Thanks vegan have pm-ed you.

Counting blessings as all was good at the anomaly scan today. Have an anterior placenta as well which accounts for the flutterings rather than kicks felt. Still some way to go before the strong movements of the 3rd trimester anyhow Smile

We're having a girl! Grin Would have been happy either way but it's nice to have one of each. Can finally plan for clothes and nursery.

Anyone still co-sleeping with DC1 (or more)? We're trying to get DS out of our bed before DD arrives. Tried slowly by placing his cot mattress in our room last night. He slept by himself for a good 3 hours before hoping back in Hmm. i know it will take a while, but i'm hopeful? Anyone have any tips?

Sundaygal · 30/01/2017 15:05

Happy to hear of so many good scans. We had ours today and all looks well. It is always so amazing to see the lil one on the screen!

I'm still dealing with sickness but I also have good days sprinkled in so can'y complain too much. Half way there!!

Sorry no great tips from me welove...i thought we were all good but recently our 4 yr old started jumping back in our bed in the middle of the night after years of sleeping on her own Hmm

Sixisthemagicnumber · 30/01/2017 16:27

We had our scan today too - another little boy who looked healthy and growing as expected Smile

VeganMama83 · 30/01/2017 18:22

welove will check my pm's in a mo!

We have both boys in the super king with us. Not trying to get them out tho as just getting a sidecar cot for new baby!

Hello everyone,
I've just joined MN and found this thread. Not sure how it all works, but I'd love to join you. I'm due on 4th of June, so in my 23rd week now. We had a 20 week scan a few weeks ago and found out we are having a girl. Super excited. Smile It helps to make it more real as it's my first. I feel her moving every day now and loving it. Still feeling off and on in terms of my energy levels but otherwise pregnancy going well.

Babybiscuit1 · 01/02/2017 20:02

Hi Natalia welcome to the group and congrats on the girl, i'm having a baby girl too, due 12th June :)

MissisBee · 01/02/2017 22:04

natalia25sw · 01/02/2017 22:40

Thank you Babybiscuit and MissisBee.

MoonlightMojitos · 02/02/2017 19:13

Welcome newbies! Congrats on all the scans, and a few more girls to even it out as was mainly boys on the fb group! Just checking in, haven't been on here much as find it much easier to keep up with the fb page. Not much to report anyway, feel like this is a bit of a quiet stage now but I'm so over pregnancy already! 23+1 today, tired aching legs and some varicose veins that popped up out of nowhere at the weekend so now wearing compression socks. Bad heartburn. Baby is kicking loads which you can feel and see on the outside which is very weird! He particularly likes having a crazy half hour just as I'm settling down to sleep.... not much else to report!

VeganMama83 · 03/02/2017 00:28

Lovely news and scans everyone! Deffo busier on Facebook but I do check back here daily xx

Hello, OK if I join you all? I'm due 16th June with a little boy; we have a 16mo DD already. I'll try and read through properly later but just wanted to drop in and say hi!

I'm 21+2 today and mostly feeling fab after a grim first few months Envy

VeganMama83 · 05/02/2017 19:05

Hello
I'm due June 24th, and we've just found out that he's a boy. Very exciting.
I'm 42, this is my first, and I haven't a clue what I'm doing.
Can I join your gang, please?

MumofthreeandBean · 08/02/2017 07:07

Welcome Jooni and Heatherjane

21+4 here and enjoying feeling lots of kicks and swishes Smile. I still get sick days but better than before! I felt a little leg protruding above my belly button ... Took me a bit to realise what it was thinking my body was falling apart Blush
