quat let me know if you find anything. I've been searching for decent work wear, especially trousers, and am struggling. I'm living in the same few dresses for work at the moment but could really do with more bits. There seem to be plenty of jeans, leggings etc but not much smart office wear. I wasn't even impressed by nexts stuff.

Snowdrop2016 · 22/01/2017 08:56

qate and mojitos I got some maternity work trousers from next and Jojomamanbebe. The first pair I got from next weren't ideal as the bump elastic was really tight but the second pair I got are great. The jojo ones are so comfy, it's like going to work in PJs! Smile

qate · 22/01/2017 09:03

snowdrop Thanks - those are actually the two that I think I am going to place orders with! Just holding off for a week or two so I am still within teh returns period when I come back if there are any problems. MM - the two that Snowdrop mentioned seem to have about the most formal/professional looking trousers I can find (I'll be working until my due date, and can't get away with leggings/jeans under any circumstances!).

MissisBee · 22/01/2017 09:58

I got a pair of work trousers in new look before Christmas. Haven't worn them yet but I suspect will be soon. Currently wearing an old pair of normal trousers a size too big. Couldn't really get away with leggings or jeans either. I'm hoping most of my winter dresses will last me through as they're quite stretchy.
I find it quite annoying that most shops only have their maternity stuff online - I want to try it on.

Hello! I'm new to this thread, currently 18+4 with baby number 3! Got our scan tomorrow, don't know whether to find out sex or not, we've already got one of each, OH thinks we should, but I'd rather have a surprise, so I'm undecided!

I'm worried there is going to be something wrong though, I've not felt any movement yet, & I know with both of my others I'd felt movements earlier than this, plus this time I've not felt pregnant, had bouts of morning sickness with both of the others, but nothing with this one, & I just don't feel pregnant, other than having a bump!

Hope everyone is doing well

Mrs5boys · 22/01/2017 13:49

Hi teeny bean 😀 I'm 18 weeks on tues with my 6th and same as you I can't feel any movements ,, I went for a gender scan as 16 weeks and was told the placenta is at the front so is creating a barrier which means I'm not feeling the baby move ! It put my mind at ease a little as I know 100% I'm normally feeling movement at this stage ! I also have no actual "symtems" although I think mine have usually disappeared by now anyway ,,,, If it wasn't for the scans showing me there is a little baby in there I would prob be quite convinced this bump is made of cake and biscuits 😂

teenybean · 22/01/2017 14:27

Thank you mrs5, that's very reassuring, I hadn't thought of that, I just keep thinking the worst, well actually, trying not to think of it at all!! It's just so different to my other pregnancies.

qate · 22/01/2017 14:44

I'm in the same boat - placenta at the front (based on the last scan), and also first pregnancy, so assuming I will probably start to feel movement around, ooh, week 38 (only half joking/sarcastic on that last bit!!). Was quite disappointed when the doctor mentioned it. Sad

Mrs5boys · 22/01/2017 19:29

It's really hard not to worry because feeling the baby move is the only reassurance you have ! I've heard that as your womb grows the placenta can shift but not sure when that would be ? I suppose they will tell us more at the 20 week scan 😊 I'm trying to enjoy the pregnancy a little more as I know this middle bit is usually the easiest part , before I get the size of a small bungalow 😂

Babybiscuit1 · 23/01/2017 07:41

Time flies! Officially 20 weeks today can't wait to find if thier baby boy or girl biscuit tomorrow :)

catlady15 · 23/01/2017 08:33

Hello everyone! I haven't been on got a while so have had lots of catching up. Was very happy when I read olivers news! I've got the Joie system with the gemm car seat that someone mentioned as it seemed a good deal. I'm at the back of the bus, due on 28th June, 17+5 today.

Mrs5boys · 23/01/2017 09:32

Oooo cat lady your one day ahead of me ,, I'm due the 27th 😊 And babybiscuit I'm guessing boy biscuit 💙😊

Bloopbleep · 23/01/2017 09:43

Hello can I join you? I'm 17+3, due last day of June but will have baby week before. I'm geriatric according to my notes.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 23/01/2017 10:07

welcome bloop. Do they always deliver early if they consider you to be an older mum in your region? I'm considered to be in the older category (over 35) and there has been no mention of early induction. My Last baby was born when I was 35 and there was no mention of it then either.

VeganMama83 · 23/01/2017 11:36

six I can't be induced as I had it before an emcs last time so I have to have a section if I don't go naturally first. I'm 41 so in the properly older category and they said I'd be taken in at 39 weeks. I'm hoping the baby slides out in my sleep at 38 weeks painfree and naturally tho ;)

teenybean · 23/01/2017 15:02

Hello ladies, hope you're all well today?
Had my scan today & mrs5 was right, I have anterior placenta! Baby got a proper little wiggle on & wouldn't stay still, but they got all info they needed & said baby looks very healthy & I should start to feel movement in the next couple of weeks Smile

MermaidVsSailor · 23/01/2017 15:04

Hi all! I've been reading for a while but not had a chance to post yet. Due 06/06 with DC2 and we found out last week that we are having a girl.
DP still hasn't told his family, despite me looking very pregnant Hmm but I will hopefully join your Facebook group when he finally does. Had a truly awful pregnancy last time with DS (only born January last year!), this pregnancy has been brilliant in comparison.

Will hopefully get around to posting here when I can Smile

Sixisthemagicnumber · 23/01/2017 15:26

mermaid the Facebook
Group is totally private so nobody will see the posts except those of us in the group. Me and DH haven't told most of our families yet. DH plans to tell his siblings this week but I'm not even bothering to tell mine as we aren't the closest family.

Mrs5boys · 23/01/2017 16:22

Hello bloop 😀 Ahhh teenybean that's great that your scan has put your mind at ease ! Will be exciting that you will be able to feel baby move when it gets a little bigger , I'm hoping it will be the same for me ! I've only told 2 family members and my husband will prob only tell 2 of his side,,, the rest will find out from people telling them , although we are on speaking terms if we bumped into them there's a lot of family that we aren't close to at all ! Strange really as I'm actually quite nice and obviously completely hilarious (in my own mind) 🤣🤣 ahhh well their loss 🤣🤣

Mrs5boys · 23/01/2017 16:23

Oh and hi mermaid 👋🏼

Sixisthemagicnumber · 23/01/2017 16:35

Sounds like me mrs5boys. We are on speaking terms With all The family (except 1 person) but we just aren't close so I don't see the point in going out of my way to tell them. We only told our children, my mum and DH dad so far. DH hasn't even told his mum yet and he isn't in a hurry to do so because he isn't close to her. We just decided that most people will just find out when we see them and I look very pregnant or when other people tell them. It's weird because in previous pregnancies we told all the family straight after the 12 week scan but we are both just not bothered this time.

PegglePaw · 23/01/2017 17:10

Hello 20 + 4 here little boy and FTM. I may be stupid but is there a link/way to join the FB group?

Babybiscuit1 · 23/01/2017 17:16

Hello and welcome mermaid and peggle.

peggle you need to pm veganmama83 to join the FB group. I will be doing the same all being well after my scan tommorow.

Has anyone got any experience of the mamas and papas and mothercare new parent events? Both have dates coming up and we are currently going to the mamas and papas one bit wondered whether it was worth going to the mothercare one too? Do you get good discounts on those events? TIA

Mrs5boys · 23/01/2017 17:20

Oh six we have lots in common ,, my husband won't be bothering to tell his mum , his sister will prob tell her , she has never ever seen our 2 year old despite being driven straight past our house not long after he was born , her exact words were "I'm not interested" ,, no argument has ever happened and if I see her I will be civil but that's as far as any relationship will go , it's a shame for my husband but unfortunately she's just not very nice 😬
