We had scan today. All good but baby wouldn't cooperate. I had to do starjumps to try and get it to move, it didn't work so we have to go back next week . I was told i have an anterior placenta today too.

phoebe2016 · 20/01/2017 06:36

Good luck with your scan today Vegan! I'm nervous for ours next week, just want the reassurance that all is well. Once we have that, im going to start buying a few bits! Lol

phoebe2016 · 20/01/2017 06:38

No way Mas! That's the first time i have ever heard of anyone having to go back. You must have a proper wriggler in there! Hope they manage to get what they need next time.

phoebe2016 · 20/01/2017 06:40

Lemon, glad your scan went well Smile

Babybiscuit1 · 20/01/2017 07:05

Great news for them with good scans this week! Smile

Good luck to everyone having them in the next week. Mines on Tuesday, feeling incredibly anxious already Confused

VeganMama83 · 20/01/2017 14:33

Thanks phoebe! All was good at the scan. Roll on the next 20 weeks.

Going to visit new niece who was born this morning in a bit!

Had my 2nd gender scan today ,,,had the first one at just under 16 weeks but kept thinking it could be wrong so convinced the husband to book a 2nd scan at a different place ,,, she said same as the first scan and it was a lot clearer this time so maybe it's time to buy some little dresses 💕💕 still not told anyone yet ,,, I'm in no rush but do wonder how much longer I can hide it lol 17+3

MumofthreeandBean · 20/01/2017 16:19

That Is fantastic mum congratulations on your first little girl!!

Mrs5boys · 20/01/2017 16:27

Ahhhh thanks 3 beans 😁 I won't believe until I see her though lol ,, is your girl twin your first girl too !?

Sixisthemagicnumber · 20/01/2017 18:37

Ah, congrats mrs5boys. My mum
Had 5 boys before she had me Smile. I have 3 boys and don't mind what we have this time around but I know everyone is expecting us to want a girl.

Mrs5boys · 20/01/2017 18:47

Thank you 6 ❤️Yes it's funny I really did 100% expect another boy ,, obvs it's a lovely surprise to have a little girl especially as this will be our last baby ! Ive been reading a thread about negative comments when you have children of the same sex and yep it's unbelievable the amount of people who assume we only had all these children to try to "complete the set" and even more amazing they feel the need to voice their sadness over you having yet another boy ,,, some people just don't think about what they are actually saying I guess ! I would have had lots of kids regardless of wether they were boys or girls because I'm just a little crazy like that 🤣

MumofthreeandBean · 20/01/2017 21:14

I have 1 girl and 2 boys already 😊 X

Mrs5boys · 21/01/2017 10:13

Ahhhh lovely 😊 ❤️

phoebe2016 · 21/01/2017 10:25

Mrs Congratulations on your baby girl news! We are also having a girl and are over the moon. We already have a blended family of 3 boys and 2 girls, so it's going to be even teams now! Lol

VeganMama83 · 21/01/2017 10:57

Congrats Mrs! We are having a girl too. We get the silly comments even tho we only have two boys!

Wow so many girl babies on here at the moment! 💕 Congratulations all of you 💕Who's going to start the boy trend then 💙💙

MumofthreeandBean · 21/01/2017 15:25

Well I'm expecting both so I can join in to any chats about either sex.

I had a girl first and then a boy and people expected us to leave it at that, 'now you have one of each, how lovely, you don't need anymore!'
What does it have to do with anyone else??
I have had so many people asking me if this pregnancy was an accident because we have a nearly 11year gap and I am 38tmw 😕
But the truth is I have been trying to have a 4th for a very long time, life gets in the way, health has got in the way and it turns out right now is good for us!

20.5

Mrs5boys · 21/01/2017 15:53

Yep must be lovely having twins , a lot of hard work I expect but so special💙💜its funny isn't it how so many people have an opinion on how other people live their lives ,, Apart from the girl comments I always get "well this will be your last baby as you'll be wanting to get back to work soon" umm my husband works hard to support us and I'm not aware of ever sharing a desire to get a career 😒 Our eldest is 17 , youngest 2 and let's say there will be a lot of quiet disapproval and comments made behind our backs when I finally tell people about this baby,,, I don't care though as the people to behave like this are generally not the sort of people who's opinions I value anyway !! Hard not to let the negativity annoy you but for every one mean comment there's another ten heartfelt congratulations ❤️❤️

MumofthreeandBean · 21/01/2017 16:18

Very true!! X

Walkerbean16 · 21/01/2017 22:16

I've just lost an entire evening looking at baby names and maternity clothes! Oops! I have a few names I like a lot but none that I love, I stupidly mentioned one to my sister who said oh no you can't call her that! I don't like it! So that's put me off! (and taught me to keep my mouth shut!)

My favourite name is Isabelle but that is DDs middle name. (Probably why I like it so much as I know I can't use it!)

MoonlightMojitos · 22/01/2017 00:42

walker that's why we won't be sharing names haha I think people give you your opinion when you mention them whether you want it or not! I had one girls name I absolutely loved but we're having a boy and have a shortlist of 3 names now. I like them all but don't love any of them like I did with the girls name.

I seem to be having hot flushes or something now and getting so sweaty! I woke up from a nap earlier so sweaty it was awful!

Went to my friends baby shower today which was actually really fun thankfully! I was dreading cringy games.

21+3 (or 4 I suppose now it's gone midnight!)

qate · 22/01/2017 07:43

Any recommendations for best places for maternity wear, especially work stuff - I have to wear a suit to work, and not sure my existing suit trousers are going to last many more weeks! Current jeans already starting to get uncomfortable around the waist (despite the scales having not moved at all in the last 14 weeks... Confused ).
18+1.

Babybiscuit1 · 22/01/2017 08:29

Anyone else suffering with restless/dead legs at night? It's waking my up several times a night now. I started Pilates on Tuesday and that did seem to help give 2 nights relief so may need to do the exercises at home to help with the other nights.

19+7 half way point tommorow :)

Babybiscuit1 · 22/01/2017 08:32

qate most high street stores have maternity sections online. So far I've got bits and pieces from dp, H&M and red herring at Debenhams.

qate · 22/01/2017 08:41

Babybiscuit1 Thanks, will have a look. We're abroad at the moment so will be heading back next month and trying to get some things ordered in advance so I've got a few back ups.
