Good luck sausage Smile

Jingles80 · 18/11/2016 10:26

newbieho I'm happy to meet wherever is easier for everyone at Vic Station. Where does the best decaf coffee?! 😄

Is anyone else due early May? Sorry I can't keep up. Am 16 weeks tomorrow and looking rounder than I was last week! (Date was brought forward to 6th May from the 8th).

MissMooMoo · 18/11/2016 10:35

Goodluck sausage
Is everyone off caffine? I went off it in the first trimester but I am drinking it again (can't brew at home it stinks for hours) but do have one at a coffee shop.
I am trying to limit my intake to the guidelines though.
Sickness back this morning, thought this part was over! Had been about 10 days since I last threw up.

Barnes79 · 18/11/2016 10:44

Good luck sausage! I'm due 29th May so towards the end too.

RasperryInAMelon · 18/11/2016 11:09

Newbie can we confirm here date, time location for next Thurs Smile

MrsJW15 · 18/11/2016 11:53

Good luck sausage!

MissMooMoo I'm drinking some caffeine again. Coffee some days, tea most days. Trying to stick within limits, but I'm pleased to be enjoying coffee again!

newbieho · 18/11/2016 12:03

Hi Londoners,

Following Rasperry request I confirm we are going to meet on 24 Nov at 6.15pm at London Victoria station. I suggest Costa coffee between platforms 7 and 8. Is everyone OK with it? Who will be able to make it?

newbieho · 18/11/2016 12:06

MissMooMoo I would not survive without coffee or tea ShockI just limit the intake of caffeine to 200mg.

Newbie I'm in for sure!

On a separate note... gah!!!

I was hoping to be buying my big items (furniture and pram) in Jan - see what's happening in the sales.

But... I've always picked up better deals over Black Friday than I have in Jan, especially when buying new stock rather than end of the line.

I've just had an email from Mothercare - the furniture we want has £300 off and the pram we want now has a free car seat worth £135 thrown in which we were going to buy.

My problem with the pram is, were going with the Silvercross Wayfarer Chelsea and we're going to have the sand coloured car seat, the black is the one being thrown in.

I've just now seen on the Silvercross twitter feed that they are hoping to release a matching coloured car seat before the end of the year, but god knows how much it'll be...

Decisions decisions...

Shoney85 · 18/11/2016 12:44

After having a good Monday/Tuesday had an awful Wednesday/Thursday, really bad nausea where no amount of eating would get rid of it for no longer than 5mins. Then ended up being sick twice last night. Feeling better today so fingers crossed. 16 weeks tomorrow so hoping is it slowly easing. Soooo much more tougher than I ever thought. Def got baby brain.

5weeks today till our 20 week scan 😍

EsmesBees · 18/11/2016 13:03

Good luck sausage

Pencil me in as a maybe newbie. Depends on whether dh can do the nursery run

Rasberry exciting to be buying the pram already! My only advice on car seats is to go for a dark colour. They get grubby!

RasperryInAMelon · 18/11/2016 14:33

Esme I've been thinking about it this afternoon and perhaps your right... I just like things to colour coordinate... I wasn't planning on getting it until Jan/Feb time, but it's a good offer and the money we could save on the furniture and car seat would pay for the nursery to be decorated.

Would be great if you can make coffee next week!

savagehk · 18/11/2016 14:37

Hi all...

Can I join? EDD 6 May (despite that being the one date that doesn't work with LMP!).

Flingmoo · 18/11/2016 15:34

savagehk Welcome aboard Grin So you've had your first scan then presumably?

My original EDD was 25th May and now they're saying 3rd June so maybe I don't even belong on this May thread anymore Sad But 3rd June makes no sense with regard to my LMP either... However we have had a little discussion upthread about sperm hanging around for days/weeks so I suppose that could be the case!

savagehk · 18/11/2016 15:36

Yes, scan was last week Thursday, where they dated me at 14+5 by head circumference as baby was too big to date by length. Apparently the later the dating scan the less accurate. Plus first baby ended up having a massive head so not convinced :)
(1st pregnancy they dated me by 13+5 where I knew I was 13+0 as I'd been watching my temperature)

1004Rise · 18/11/2016 16:53

Happy Friday ladies!

The satsuma fetish has started with a vengeance for me today.... I just ate five almost without blinking Blush

I was looking at the mothercare email too Rasperry there are some really good deals there!

Definitely less sick now... a whole 3 days (shhh) without being sick and less ravenous today maybe I might actually be a human being again Shock

notasillysausage · 18/11/2016 17:12

Thanks for the well wishes - scan went well. My edd has been brought forward to 25 May, little one was a wriggler so they couldn't do the nuchal fold measurement so I am having an extra blood test in a few weeks! Happy now and feel like I have been fast tracked to the second trimester Smile

Gurtie28 · 18/11/2016 17:14

rasperry I have been looking at the wayfarer too - what made you decide on that one?
My only justification is that I saw a lady on the tube with one and thought it looked good!!

growcookeat · 18/11/2016 17:18

Jingles and savage im also due 6th May as I think is Shoney? A whole gang of dd buddies!

Had to go to work in sports gear today (PE day) and everyone was commenting on the size of my bump! I'm definitely noticing it's more bump like than just fat. I have a feeling as I'm quite short that I'm going to grow outwards a lot.

Prenatal yoga last night - I loved it! So close to falling asleep in the relaxation section at the end. Would recommend it if you can find one nearby.

RasperryInAMelon · 18/11/2016 17:22

Gurtie literally love at first sight! Went into Mothercare and looked at a few different models, didn't like the faff it was to change the height of the handles, some didn't feel very sturdy and felt a tad cheap.

Hubby and I really love the colour too, we wanted something that was classic and have always loved the idea of the leather look handle trim. It's a fairly weighty pram, but not as bad as many I've seen either. I just feel like it'll last!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 18/11/2016 17:50

jingles 3rd may here. Bump is definitely having a growth spurt this week and now impossible to hide, I love it Grin

CinnamonTwist · 18/11/2016 20:15

Dream my due date is 3rd May too Grin
we haven't done a stats posting yet have we... or did I miss it?

Barnes79 · 18/11/2016 20:16

I just started googling prams. Head = Blown.

Who knew there was so much to consider! Carrycots, lie flat or not car seats, travel system or not?!?!?

All I know is I need an all-terrain one for walking the dog.

Any ideas or suggestions?
