20 week scan at 20 weeks on 19th. So nervous this time I think pregnancy after miscarriage has made everything a worry for me! Deep breaths.

Really hoping to feel this one move soon I think it will help alleviate my stress a bit

Streaky17 · 01/12/2016 18:51

Gurtie I'm on the 21st too. I'll be 19+1.

My scan this week showed my placenta is on the front so I think that cushions movements for a little longer.

I had to come to London today - I definitely felt a bit worse than usual travelling, luckily the tube wasn't too packed. Well done to everyone who commutes on trains daily!

Ghostonthedancefloor · 01/12/2016 18:59

19th here too at 20+1

Gurtie28 · 01/12/2016 19:04

Ah! Lovely that there are a few of us in the same week Smile the countdown is on ladies!! I think back to when I joined this group at 5wks pregnant and how much we have all been through...such a great gadget this internet thingy!!!

Shoney85 · 01/12/2016 19:23

20 week scan on 23rd December at 2pm ... cannot wait xx

Barnes79 · 01/12/2016 19:42

Bah humbug - I'm going to be one of the last again for the scan! Envy

Mines 9th Jan when I shall be 20w exactly. Is anyone else later or the same day?

PeachIcedT · 01/12/2016 19:55

Also wishing mine was before Christmas or even New Year. As it is I'll be 21+2 which seems at a slightly later stage to most. The holidays have gotten in the way of many potential appointments I think.

Sonnet18 · 01/12/2016 19:58

I'll be 21 weeks at mine, not until the 30th as there is nothing available when I'm 20 weeks due to Xmas.
Have my gender scan on Sunday so that's fun and will tide me over until my next nhs one!

Badgerbird · 01/12/2016 20:59

Barnes I may be around then although going to try and get it earlier if poss. As nelly pointed out though don't want it too early and as we are all finding appointments are tricky due to so many bank hols n Crimbo etc.

gurtie that's lovely timing :)

Know what you mean mcbaby, it's so nerve wracking Confused Sorry you feel anxious sipper, it seems to go with the preggo territory!!

EsmesBees · 01/12/2016 21:07

Have to wait until the 4th Jan for mine. No idea how many weeks I'll be (just can't keep track this time). I'm also in the not feeling pregnant at all camp, but two people at work noticed the bump today so something is obviously happening...

Adventuregame · 01/12/2016 21:47

Mine is on the 21st too !

CinnamonTwist · 01/12/2016 22:01

My 20 week scan is the 15th, I'll be 20+1. I am really really looking forward to it and so keen to find out if it's a boy or a girl! Who else is finding out?

Gurtie28 · 01/12/2016 22:02

Yay adventure and streaky !!!! 20 days to go Smile are either of you going to find out the sex?

Adventuregame · 01/12/2016 22:22

I already know from the Harmony scan - boy !

MrsJW15 · 01/12/2016 22:52

Mine is on 20th December, so pleased we could move it to before Christmas. Doesn't feel too far now, but time will drag!

mcbaby I know exactly how you feel, everyone keeps asking me if I'm excited for the scan and if I'm going to find out the sex and I just want there to be no problems. I was so nervous before the 12 week scan it felt like final exams again - I even got stress diarrhoea Blush.

My scan is on Jan 4th at 20 weeks, so long to wait! Have my midwife appointment next week. I have Doppler in work so have listened to baby's heartbeat already which is reassuring.

I think we're going to find out the sex just to help us picture the whole baby thing a bit more. We might keep it a surprise for everyone else though Xmas Wink

ShiniBerry · 02/12/2016 07:07

My 20 weeks falls just before Christmas, and the scan is scheduled for January (was told it's fine as long as its not past 23+6). We are traveling to Australia to see my family then so decided not to wait and as an early Christmas present to ourselves we booked a private scan for today to see how bubs is doing before we travel. Finding out the gender too--eeek! Hope the LO behaves!!

Been feeling movement since about 15w, now it feels more like rolling or tapping, still very subtle though.

Good luck to everyone finding out! X

CinnamonTwist · 02/12/2016 07:08

Autumn we are considering keeping it a surprise for everyone else, or at least for a bit, so that we can enjoy it just the two of us for a while. As our scan is on the 15th we might tell our families over Christmas, and have nearly 2 weeks beforehand where only we know.

FoxMulder · 02/12/2016 08:10

I don't think we will find out the sex. It's tempting though.

savagehk · 02/12/2016 08:41

Going for a surprise here, like last time.

1004Rise · 02/12/2016 08:55

Our NHS won't tell you the sex, we'd have to go for a private scan but I think we'd actually prefer a surprise. Smile

coxsorangepippin · 02/12/2016 09:16

Had 16 week appointment yesterday, it was reassuring to hear the heartbeat.

Are other people booking onto NHS or NCT classes? What do you feel about pros/cons?
The NCT ones are expensive and so long, like 20 hours, but I've heard they are good for meeting other people (I suppose there's more chance to bond in 20 hours than six!)

savagehk · 02/12/2016 09:23

I did both last time cox - if the hospital/midwives do the NHS ones, the good thing is you get to see the hospital itself and can ask about what their procedures etc are. I'd personally do some reading before hand so you can ask informed questions. The best book I found was this one: www.goodreads.com/book/show/6424419-your-body-your-baby-your-birth
(It's worth noting our hospital also does tours, worth asking your midwife)

Our NCT group didn't really bond, but I'd do it again on the chance that it might work differently this time. There's not one for second time mums nearby so I'll be skipping this time.

RasperryInAMelon · 02/12/2016 09:35

I've signed up for a 17 hour 6 class course Cox as per all you lovely ladies recommendations. DH will be able to come along to 5/6 sessions (the 5th is women only) but I think that will help me to not feel so nervous Smile
