missmoomoo I have a scar from a hernia op that I had at 9 months old and it is quite often painful anyway when there's too much going on down there - needing the loo or using tampax etc. So now everything is stretching I feel it even more !! Like you say - joy !!

growcookeat · 29/11/2016 20:09

I've also been suffering from stuffy nose etc. I think I already had rhinitis pre-pregnancy, although never diagnosed. It gets better when I up my athsma inhaler dose which I tend to in cold weather anyway. So sorry can't be of much use unless any of you have inhalers?!

1004Rise · 29/11/2016 20:31

Can I join in the grumbling too? Blush Can someone tell me when the glowing part is supposed to start, I'm 16 weeks tomorrow still randomly being sick, which last night was joined by a nose bleed. Went for a walk with the dogs on Sunday, all flat nothing strenuous... yesterday I felt like I'd run a marathon ALL my muscles were sore and I'd love to be able to stay up past 9 pm. I am full of admiration for you ladies that get up and commute to work every day, never been so glad to be able to work from home. Sad

Flingmoo · 29/11/2016 20:36

I'm loving the grumble session! Virtual Flowers Chocolate and Wine to all of you (it's okay it's virtual wine...)

coxsorangepippin · 29/11/2016 20:44

What a lot of new messages! Joining the pity party here, went to bed once home from work with a big mug of rooibos to nurse my cold and a hot water bottle for the round ligament aches.

I found this website for names, it uses all the ONS data:
names.darkgreener.com/#

I was amazed how many of the names I thought were nice and slightly unusual, have actually exploded in the past few years and are heading rapidly for the top 100!

Can I join in the moan fest too? I'm still so exhausted, and I definitely don't have that pregnancy glow! Cheers to all of you and our virtual wine glasses.

Barnes79 · 29/11/2016 21:20

What have I started?!?!? Smile And who knew that for a pity party it was bring your own bottle of virtual wine Grin

I had a bit of a nap, and after waking up and feeling like death for about half an hour I am feeling a tad better, although feel like I need to go to bed now as I'm shattered.

Hope everyone else feels better soon.

ShiniBerry · 29/11/2016 22:30

Another grumbler here! I have round ligament pain, lower back pain and front and back rib pain! Makes for a lot of sleepless nights :-/

I had my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday, she didn't check the baby's heartbeat, only urine and BP.

I also had a doctor's appointment, and apparently had a trace of protein and glucose so I have to do a GTT next week at 19 weeks.

For those suffering with blocked noses etc I read somewhere that it's because of the change in something to do with blood flow and can cause stuffy noses and nose bleeds. I've had both Hmmhopefully it's not going to last the rest of the pregnancy! It really does some odd things doesn't it!

1004Rise · 30/11/2016 07:42

FlowersChocolateBrew and virtual Winefor us all to help our grumblings, looks like we needed it! Grin

RasperryInAMelon · 30/11/2016 07:50

Rabbity mines been going on and off for a while now. I was streaming and having coughing fits making me sick last night so called NHS Direct last night. They've advised pregnancy Rhinitis as I'd suspected.

I asked around my Facebook friends - sadly most of those who suffered with it, did so from about month 3/4 to month 8 and it got delightfully worse as the months went on Sad

Streaky17 · 30/11/2016 09:00

Oh dear that's not reassuring raspberry, hope yours is not that bad.

Sorry everyone is suffering.

No she didn't nervous. I'll ask next time. I'm not as hungry as I was earlier on.

MissMooMoo · 30/11/2016 09:26

Sounds awful raspberry
I hope we are all feeling less sniffly soon!

Brightsmoke · 30/11/2016 09:36

Oh no Rasperry, that sounds awful! I hope it doesn't last that long for you!

Sorry to hear everyone is suffering in one way or other, I thought the second trimester we were meant to be feeling fabulous and glowing!

I'm off work today due to hardly any sleep last night and a migraine that is now on it's third day! Oh to be able to take drugs!!

1004Rise · 30/11/2016 09:54

Oh dear... this glowing thing seems to be a myth! Hmm I was so hoping it would turn up soon!

Desperately searching for a positive (apart from the fact we're all growing yummy babies GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin) my nails are amazing... Smile

Brightsmoke · 30/11/2016 10:20

Rise, good idea for some positives!

My hair is growing lovely
My nails are growing quickly
I can guilt free eat what I want
I have an excuse for forgetting things

Flingmoo · 30/11/2016 11:09

Okay still feeling a bit crappy but willing to admit some positives Grin

  • Being able to eat whatever I want but also, actually fancying healthy fruit for a change
  • Not having to lift anything heavy or over exert myself in any way
  • Big round boobs Grin
  • Wearing lovey comfy maternity jeans
  • Knowing that all the horrible symptoms are actually temporary effects of pregnancy rather than a long term illness, it's really made me feel sorry for people who have to deal with things like nausea, tiredness, aches and pains etc in the long term with no end in sight.
MrsJW15 · 30/11/2016 11:28

Hope everyone is feeling better today! Mamushka I'm also loving the boobs! Plus I get to work from home whenever I can - like today.

Had my 16 week appointment this morning, very boring really! BP and urine check, but no heartbeat, sadly. Now the countdown to the 20 week scan!

MrsJW15 · 30/11/2016 11:29

Sorry - I realise my message could read like there was no heartbeat. I didn't get to listen to the hearbeat!

Flingmoo · 30/11/2016 11:30

MrsJW15 Grin I have been through all four stages and very glad to be back at stage 2... Sadly I know I will end up back at stage 4 again like I did after my first baby!

Mamuska thank you for that! Made me laugh out loud Grin

FoxMulder · 30/11/2016 12:40

My boobs have got smaller! Probably because my milk supply is dwindling Sad
