Great news mrspage, glad it went well.

I decided to break out my old maternity jeans today as my bloat bump appears mid afternoon and makes the waistband of my normal jeans dig in. Error. Spent the whole day hitching them up as they slid down my bum. Might need to wait a little longer for them. I've ordered some new ones so maybe they will fit a bit better as they aren't already pre-stretched.

I vary between eating loads and then not fancying anything. But I'm definitely averaging more than I used to eat. Think I've put on about 3lb so far.

It's all go at the minute with all the appointments and scans!
I seem to be alternating every couple of days between nausea and OK but don't have a brilliant appetite overall and am still off loads of food. I've lost 2lb so far, hoping I'll start to put some on soon.

New symptom of the week - constantly feeling like I want to spit!

I had that missesbee was one of the more hideous symptoms along with lots of wind Blush

mrspage1985 · 17/11/2016 05:11

Just to give a more detailed update so people know what to expect (inwas half asleep last night when I posted!)

Not sure if every hospital is the same but for me it was a really long process, waiting is a big waiting room first for the scan which was very quick and have to say I was glad I'd been for the private ones as we didn't really get any looking time at baby it was more in, get the NT measurement and out. Then back to waiting room for consultant appt, then called in to him for urine to be tested, previous bloods to be checked and a conversation about being overweight and that I will need the diabetes test.
Then back to the waiting room for another long time and then into have my bloods taken for the downs tests etc.

I would give yourself a good couple of hours, I had expected to be done within an hour so had booked a meeting which I ended up having to tear down the motorway to make and it had ended by the time I got there!!!!!

Oh - and it suddenly becomes very very very real!!! Xxxx

mrspage1985 · 17/11/2016 05:13

And he or she is!! Any guesses on blue or pink?!

EDD June 2017 3
MumofthreeandBean · 17/11/2016 05:54

mrspage from that pic I would say blue - but I would rather see 20week scan before I stick with my guess 👍🏼
Antenatal appointments at the hospital always take an age, there is always waiting to be done!!

Awake at 5am - no need to rise until 7 so why can't I go back to sleep??

Was discussing a gender scan with family yesterday, I could have one around 14th Dec or wait until my 20week scan which will be around 10th Jan - I'm thinking to wait and then go for a 4d scan instead. What would you do??

I shocked myself last night, undressed in front of a mirror in bathroom and my nipples are suddenly twice the size!!😂😂

12.1 scan in 5 days

mrspage1985 · 17/11/2016 06:18

We have a feeling it's blue as well!!
We decided our xmas present was going to finding out the secret early so have booked in private gender scan for the week before xmas!! I'm just far too impatient!!!

MumofthreeandBean · 17/11/2016 07:14

I really want a 4d scan, they didn't even do them in my previous pregnancies so I think I should save my pennies for that, trying to be sensible as have everything to buy again!!

Has anyone bought any new baby items yet?? I'm waiting until my scan and I might get one little special item

Snowdrop2016 · 17/11/2016 07:24

I think we're going to wait until the 20 week scan mumofthree if I can hold out that long!

I've woken up today feeling as sick as ever, so much for feeling better yesterday. Still it's oddly reassuring.

Hope everyone else so feeling ok.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 17/11/2016 07:58

We haven't bought anything yet mumofthree but I have been researching double pushchairs and probably risk getting myself arrested every time I see a nice looking double pushchair in the street because I gave a good stare and try to see the makeShock I'm sure people think I am looking at their precious babies.
When I was pregnant with dc3 I started buying stuff as soon as we had the 12 week scan, I just couldn't help myself as I was too excited after almost 5 years ttc. This time around we don't need to buy much as we have all the stuff from dc3.

Mommytobe2017 · 17/11/2016 08:12

I'm being very good at not buying anything yet. I'm waiting till my 12 week scan then I want to buy the outfit for baby's journey home Grin

I don't want to get too much bcus our families and friends will go nuts buying things. I'd probably end up with the same thing 4 times!

I think I'm getting more windy Blush I keep waking up with sharp pains in my stomach, well where baby is.

Willing next week to go fast so we can have our scan!! Grin

So jealous of all these scans! I still have just under four weeks until mine and I am holding off until then. I told my parents and now they're putting pressure on me to tell my brother the weekend before the scan. But then what if it doesn't work out and I've only just told him? They said they're really struggling to keep it a secret! Wondering whether I should have told them, though lovely they're so excited of course!

catlady15 · 17/11/2016 08:25

I'm 8 + 3

Sixisthemagicnumber · 17/11/2016 08:35

I'm hoping for a phone call today from the midwives with a date for my booking in appointment. They were supposed to call yesterday but the midwife I will be seeing was on duty so mustn't have got around to it. It's quite worrying to see that everybody has dates for their scans and I haven't even had a date for my booking in appointment Sad.

haveacupoftea · 17/11/2016 08:37

six i havent booked in yet either, my scan and booking are the same appointment.

catlady it all depends whether you would tell your brother if you had a MC - if you wouldnt then dont tell him until youre ready Smile

VeganMama83 · 17/11/2016 08:55

Morning everyone.

Haven't bought anything yet, besides my friend giving me the little lamb nappies.

I've made lists tho. Main big things we need are sidecar cot, new double (that can accommodate buggyboard with seat), new stretchy carrier, 3 in 1 napper and cloth nappy stash. Have everything else but will buy this baby their own coming home outfit. Do need little things like a cord tie but the little bits are cheap. Not planning on getting anything yet! Need some £ first anyway.

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/11/2016 08:55

Morning!

missis I've also got the increased saliva thing. I used to get this sometimes before bfp, I think it's linked to hormone changes. Unfortunately I end up getting a sore throat from it as I end up dry swallowing loads. It's a catch 22 because as soon as I start thinking about it my mouth seems to fill up and then I have to swallow it! I also feel I've I've got a past nasal drip so it's difficult to ignore .

Ahh mrspage what a lovely scan pic. How exciting! Mine feels so far away.

six I was hoping to hear from the midwife too but haven't had a call yet. I'm giving her until Monday then I'll give my surgery a ring, as I know she's back in the office on Tuesday. We need to be more patient but it's frustrating being so far behind everyone else isn't it!

9+2 today. Yesterday I had a sensation of something being there near my ovary area. Or I suppose it felt like an awareness of my womb, like it felt inflated. Hopefully this is the start of the stretching feelings I'm supposed to be feeling?

babyand · 17/11/2016 09:05

Hi ladies,

It's been a long time since I wrote here. Suffering badly with sickness. I'm 8+6 today.

People who are further along, when did your symptoms ease?

This is dc 2 but I'm struggling to remember

fourcorneredcircle · 17/11/2016 09:19

Morning...

So google tells me that week 8-12 can be uncomfortable due to uterus enlarging and other organs getting pushed. What does this feel like to you? I feel... hmmm, a bit like trapped wind... but lower? I wondered if I might have a UTI as it feels sort of where I think my bladder is but no other symptoms (peeing pain, blood etc.) ... does this sound familiar?

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/11/2016 09:44

four I've been finding that if I need a wee I feel mild cramping in the pelvic area which diffapears after my bladder is empty. Also in the evenings when I'm extra windy/bowels are moving food around I have the same crampy feeling but if I pass wind it eases off? Is this what you're feeling?

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/11/2016 09:45

Diffapears? Is that even a bloody word?! Grin

Glitterbandit · 17/11/2016 10:21

Hi everyone. Can I join you? I'm a bit of a latecomer but my EDD is June 25, I have a three year old son already. Hope you're all feeling good today! Xx

fourcorneredcircle · 17/11/2016 10:39

Dizzy you know what... I think it is my bladder being full (or full enough that it's pressing somewhere). I don't "need" to pee but if I go it feels suddenly better!

oliversmummy26 · 17/11/2016 11:49

Welcome Glitter !
Catlady I'm only 8+2 so also jealous of all these scans, 3 weeks next Tuesday until mine Sad

I've always had problems with my veins, they're clear, but apparently very small, nurses usually end up using child's needles on me!

My symptoms keep coming and going which is annoying as it's so worrying, then I feel so relieved to feel sick in the mornings! Still haven't been sick and very mild, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I am also having stomach cramps though which I think are wind/constipation (bane of my life at the moment!) and strange pains in my nipples/centre of my boobs every now and then!
