Morning!

Off to the midwife soon. It's starting to feel real now. I did do another test yesterday to make sure bean is still there Blush

Still barely having symptoms other than the extreme hunger! I must get my diet better!
I lost about half a stone before I got pg. Pretty sure I've put double that back on!!

Have a lovely day Smile

9!!!

Tulip2013 · 08/11/2016 08:37

Morning!
Random question, anyone else lacking motivation at work knowing they won't be there in 6 months? I usually love my job but it's really busy and I work long hours and feel pretty bored by it all at the moment. And simply can't be bothered. Don't remember feeling like this with first pregnancy and was very happy to go back after 9 months at home with DD1.

In other news it's my booking in appointment tomorrow. Good luck to those who have them today!

Morning girls I am still feeling miserable :( the nausea is so strong it's debilitating!! To top it off my dd has the vomiting bug. Don't have my early scan for ages yet 1st Dec then my actual scan the 13th. Seems a lifetime away

Morning, my dates have been bought forward to the 30th May but hanging on in this thread because I will prob end up back in a June date!
My 12 weeks scan is a week tomorrow when I will be 12.1 according to 30th May due date!
Turned 11 weeks today and so happy to be comfortably into the double digits.
Because we have already had 3 reassurance scans we have told some more family who we're over the moon for us!

My sickness feeling (never actually sick just the nausea) is starting to settle as well now which is good. I am hoping to get back on track diet wise over the next couple of weeks!! Have lost a couple of pounds through the first trimester but need to keep at it as my bmi is rather high Blush
On the cusp of being consultant led so if I can shift a few pounds I would hopefully be able to give birth in the MIdwife led unit with the pool etc

11 today Smile

Walkerbean16 · 08/11/2016 09:41

I've broken my tooth Sad I'm off to the dentist this afternoon but am concerned that having someone's fingers in my mouth will make me sick! Fingers crossed I don't vomit all over the dentist.

I was looking at prams last night, I found one weeks ago and fell in love but it is limited edition and out of stock everywhere, went on the website last night and it's back in stock and they have 10% off all pushchairs (mother care) was very tempted to get it there and then! But was sensible and didn't 😞

Sixisthemagicnumber · 08/11/2016 10:41

I feel your pram pain walker, in my last pregnancy I saw the oram I wanted in the very colour I wanted reduced by £200 as it was the last one and was the shop floor model. I bought it despite the fact that I was only 13 weeks pregnant at the time Blush. Patience has never been my strong point. I'm hoping to hold off buying a double pushchair until
I am At least six Months pregnant this time but I have been doing a fair bit of browsing online and ogling double prams in the street.

MissisBee · 08/11/2016 10:53

I'm sitting in the hairdressers eating hula hoops. They are my snack of choice this week, I'll probably be sick of them by Friday.
Those of you at the front of the bus, when did your nausea peak and have you started feeling better yet? I'm 8+1 and am totally fed up, even though I seem to be getting off lightly compared to some of you

Snowdrop2016 · 08/11/2016 11:03

Hi!

Can I please join? I am 9+1 today and due on the 10th June, I think! I've got my booking in appointment this afternoon so this might change.

This is my first, I'm not feeling too bad so far, quite nauseous at times but I haven't been sick which is a bonus.

I'm feeling a bit nervous for the booking in appointment, my OH is coming with me, not sure if that is right or not but he wants to be involved and I could do with the support!

I'll try to add myself to the spreadsheet.

VeganMama83 · 08/11/2016 11:11

Welcome snowdrop I'm 9+1 today too but due date is June 12th x

Dreaded nausea is back with a vengeance and even the sickness bands can't help. Add into the mix two energetic small boys and you get the idea! Poor DH must be sick of my moaning at the moment. Not ideal with a house move in the next couple of months!

A lovely friend is giving me her little lamb 2 parters inc wraps, that has saved me a fortune. Just need to get some pockets and accessories!

Everyone in my office is talking about feeling ill. One guy went home sick yesterday (my colleague who I sit next to an who knows) now another thinks he might be coming down with something and then another and so on... Everyone is complaining they might be sick and I want to scream at them, try it every day. I feel really rough today anyway but want to tell them to piss off with their potential sickness bugs. I want to go hibernate at home and protect the little bean!

My husband is away with work for a few days which he does a lot but first time since we found out. Think both of us are struggling with it a bit. He has phoned far more often than normal and there was talk he might get home Wednesday but looks like Thursday. Really want to hibernate!

snowdrop The info about my booking in (not until next week) says "Please note that at the beginning of this appointment the midwife will require a 15 minute consultation with you alone"
So don't let that surprise you into more nerves! I presume it's in case there's anything you need to say in confidence or he's abusive etc. But seeing as they say that it must be quite usual for partners to come along. Smile

ymmv · 08/11/2016 11:59

Which side of the family do twins run on?

I'm really trying to break my google habit Grin

Snowdrop2016 · 08/11/2016 12:10

VeganMama, I could well be the 12th too but I have 26 day cycles so the NHS thingy said the 10th.

Thanks for the heads up ymmv, I will tell OH so he doesn't panic as he's also feeling v nervous

Masweetpea1 · 08/11/2016 12:23

My morning sickness has started again. Sad i was eating healthy fruit and threw up at work (a running down the corridor situation, no way its hidden now!!). So i then tried beige food and threw that up too. Sad

Now in bed feeling very sorry for myself (but also pleased I'm being sick in a weird sicko way!!)

ymmv twins run on the maternal side, hyperovulation is genetic from direct maternal relatives.

My mum has convinced herself I am having twins because I'm a twin and so is my dad. I'm an IVF twin so it means nothing in terms of chances of twins and we have no twins in the family otherwise. My nan even had 9 singletons and no twins. So my chances aren't raised at all but she is completely convinced and was the same in my first pregnancy. It's driving me insane tbh!

My symptoms have completely dwindled out over the last few days so I decided to POAS and the line, although dark, isn't as dark as it has been. Now I am preparing for the worst at my scan tomorrow.

Masweetpea1 · 08/11/2016 12:52

flashing , step away from the sticks!! Wink i did exactly the same a few weeks ago and the stick was lighter as well. I think there is some scientific reason for it (can't remember it ), but don't worry!!

MoonlightMojitos · 08/11/2016 12:54

tulip I feel the same, no motivation now at work! Especially when it's really busy and stressful but I think that's a good thing as I'd usually get so stressed and overwhelmed and now I'm like 'ah well, more important things to worry about!'

Had my flu jab this morning, nothing else to report!

oliversmummy26 · 08/11/2016 12:58

Just back from my booking in, MW was lovely, though (this is going to make me sound like my mother!) very young! she obviously knew her stuff, but not very forthcoming like my last über experienced (ie. old!!) MW was!

Still doesn't feel real...I have to go back for bloods at about 11 weeks, and scan date will come through from the hospital in the post. She said to ideally have the bloods taken a week or so before the scan, so might wait for the appointment letter for a bit as I have time for now..

oliversmummy26 · 08/11/2016 13:08

Also, am I right in thinking that the blood test for the combined Down's Screening should be taken at the same time as the scan? I missed out on this last time as DS was in the wrong position for the NT measurement, so had the blood test at 16 weeks instead.

Just wondering what happened with everyone else in previous pregnancies?

Skee · 08/11/2016 13:50

Afternoon everyone Smile

Welcome Snowdrop and congratulations!

I'm also 9+1 today and just back from my first midwife appointment. DH came with me, it's our first too and we're both nervous excited, it was nice to have him there, the midwife was lovely and made him feel welcome too.

Three weeks until my fist scan, fingers crossed everything's ok in there! x

ymmv · 08/11/2016 13:58

Flashing that's one less ridiculous worry for me to have then! thanks. Twins are on my dads side.

I've also read that pregnancy tests aren't reliable later on btw. and symptoms do come and go. Sorry you're stressing though and I'll keep fx.

MumofthreeandBean · 08/11/2016 14:13

I am/was a twin (lost at birth) Ive not had twins yet but apparently I'm high risk as this is my 4th pregnancy and I'm an older mum 🙄
I would love twins- but the possibility of it all scares me!!!!

MumofthreeandBean · 08/11/2016 14:16

vegan lucky you re:reusable!! I still don't know where to start! I need a nappy friend! 😂

mrspage1985 · 08/11/2016 14:20

Missisbee I'm right at the front of the bus and the nausea has really calmed down in the last week! From 10-11 weeks today.
Still have it a bit but no where near as much or for as prolonged period of time as the earlier weeks!
Hold in there!! Xx

VeganMama83 · 08/11/2016 14:43

mumofthree there's so much to learn with cloth! Really grateful for my friend being so generous. She wants me to pass them on when I'm finished with them which of course is cool!
