This will be dc2. Edd of July 2nd.

Thanks Jaronior I wish it wasn't so terrifying. I wish I didn't scrutinise every little thing and could relax.

BrioLover · 28/10/2016 20:05

Link to the thread for the FB group (which is indeed totally secret). I didn't set it up so comment on this thread to be added:

Bloop I remember last time around my symptoms came and went throughout my first trimester. It was weird and unsettling for sure! Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know).

Jaronior · 28/10/2016 21:37

That's brill, I've added you on fb- thank you

LuciBee231015 · 29/10/2016 08:11

Morning ladies. 5 weeks today for me 😊

Felt nauseous yesterday morning, I was gagging quite a bit but not actually sick. Boobs still sore too, a few left sided cramps here and there. That's it for me...

BrioLover · 29/10/2016 08:36

Would love some ideas for helping with the nausea. I work full time and am back at work next week (was off for half term). I commute on a train and then a tube... I didn't have this last time and lived in zone 2 in London so only had a very short journey!

Goldfish99 · 29/10/2016 10:02

Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations!

Has anyone else had any spotting? I've been noticing a bit of brown blood when I wipe since yesterday evening I'm hoping its implantation bleeding I think I read somewhere that brown blood without cramping is okay? I've put a panty liner in so I can monitor how much. Has anyone else had this with this or previous pregnancies? Keeping my fingers crossed the bleeding doesn't get worse! This is DC1 for me so not really sure what is normal!

Notyetthere · 29/10/2016 10:42

Goldfish I did have have brown right at the beginning 1 day before AF was due. I only found out because out of habit I checked cm in the shower and noticed it was tinged with brown. It was very little that it never actually came out. The good thing is with brown it means it's old blood which would match with implantation. I didn't have any implantation bleed with my 1st pregnancy so it was worrying when I saw it.

4+5 for me today. Sore nipples, I think the boob are also getting bigger. Not too much nausea, only in the morning before my 1st cup of tea.

Going shopping with mum today and I hope to coo at cute baby grows... aaah. I can't buy any baby stuff yet but I like walking through baby departments and just looking at the lovely wares.

Bloopbleep · 29/10/2016 12:28

Hey goldfish this might be a bit tmi but I had bright red only when I wiped after a poo for a couple of days. I thought it was just af coming. Brown is old and apparently really common (not that that stops the worrying)

Goldfish99 · 29/10/2016 13:52

Thanks not and bloop I've been out into town with DP which has taken my mind of it a bit barely anything on my panty liner just notice a bit of brown when I wipe so am hoping it's nothing to worry about!

not I'm 4+5 today as well my boobs have been surprisingly normal they just feel slightly fuller aside from that still no real symptoms apart from feeling very bloated so much so I can't fit into my jeans without feeling very uncomfortable! Enjoy the shopping with mum I'm guessing you've told her you're expecting? We were going to tell our parents today but have now decided to wait it out for a week or so and see what happens just in case the bleeding gets worse! My parents are going to be so excited as it will be their first grandchild I'm not sure I want to get their hopes up so soon in case the worst happens!

LuciBee231015 · 29/10/2016 16:13

My bruised feeling boobs seem to have got a bit better today actually and I haven't really had any cramps. But I now feel like I have a massive hangover, banging headache, thirsty, ridiculously tired... Maybe week 5 is when the symptoms kick in for me.

Hope everyone is good x

Notyetthere · 29/10/2016 21:21

Goldfish Yes mum knows I'm pregnant. I am very close to mum; apart from DH, she was the first to know. She is my closest friend.

I said I wouldn't buy anything but We popped into tkmaxx and I bought a box of Aden and Anais muslin. Lots of cute little baby things but I decided to limit myself to something small. Funny thing though was that mum had never heard of muslin. She asked me what it was for and all I could say was that it would be used to wipe sick and cover prams from glare. I then mentioned swaddling and she was like Blush 'what is that now' GrinGrinGrin

MrsBobDylan · 30/10/2016 09:59

Can I join?I'm very early on in the process and have worked out I would be due 12 July all being well. Got my bfp yesterday which sent me into a massive panic. Then felt really happy about it, before lurching into another massive panic this morning.

I worry I will be judged (mainly by family) and intermittently that I will ruin my DC's lives by having a fourth, even though my eldest has been keen for another and we are steady as a family and love being parents.

My DH is calm and happy about it, so at least one of us has a grip!

Notthereyet I love muslins and have been a prolific buyer of them in the past...I have an extensive collection now!

Notyetthere · 30/10/2016 10:37

MrsBob Congratulations and welcome to the thread. You really shouldn't worry about what the family thinks. They will soon get used to idea. We all get judged by whatever we do. If you have only one child you get judged for not having a companion for your dc. Fwiw, I grew up in large family (mum worked abroad and I spent most of childhood with at my aunt and uncle and their 5dc). It was a fun place to be. I have always desired the same for my own family but I might never achieve it as I am only pregnant with my 1st at 32yrs old.

UKrider · 30/10/2016 11:39

Hello. May I join your thread?

I'm 13 DPO and had a squinter yesterday and a fairly clear positive this morning on cheapy tests. I'll buy a 'proper' one as I can hardly believe it.

I've been tracking so I know the day i conceived. Based on that according to a due date estimator I'd be due 12th July.

That's just shy of my 40th birthday!

We are an older couple in parenting terms. We met in our late 30s and married this year. I really really worried we've not be able to conceive naturally. It will be the first pregnancy for both of us. I know DH isn't pregnant but you know what I mean!

I have some questions - can anyone help?

  • have you told your DHs yet. I haven't as I want to be into it a bit more and then do a cute surprise for him.
  • as I'm older, might I get extra tests? I understand there's a free cell DNA test. That's a harmony test is that right? I'd have to pay for this I believe? Also is there an AFP test at 16 weeks?
  • someone commented that people may not what a summer baby. May I ask why? Is it to do with school years or something?
MrsBobDylan · 30/10/2016 14:57

Thanks notyetthere you're right about everyone having something to be judged on! I think you've got plenty of time to get that big family. I had my first at 34 and am on to no.4 at the grand old age of 43!

Ukrider I was 39/40 during my last pregnancy and don't think I got any extra tests. Was thinking of looking into paying for some earlier tests this time but am clueless about it all. Let me know what you find out!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/10/2016 15:49

Hello everyone :)

Congratulations on all of your pregnancies Flowers

May I join in with this thread?! My EDD is 7th July...I found out on my birthday on the 26th Oct Grin
Xxx

Kitsandkids · 30/10/2016 16:02

UKrider, I think I read somewhere that teachers don't want summer babies due to them being the youngest in the year and starting off at a disadvantage with peers almost a year older, and doctors do want them as statistically they're healthier.

Things were changed recently to allow summer born babies to start Reception the next year if parents choose that, so they'd actually be the oldest. I'm a bit disillusioned with the education system and seriously considering home educating anyway if, fingers crossed, everything goes alright with me and I have a baby next year.

I shouldn't be here as I'm due on 30th June, but I'm lurking as I'm only due a day or two before some of you, and might be late anyway.

Seahawk80 · 30/10/2016 16:54

Hi Everyone,

(Waves to notthereyet and sugarplum)

Please can I join? Just found out am expecting DC1 around 7th July. We'd been trying for a while so am very happy but also shocked! I have an appt with my GP on Friday, it was to review my latest ovary scan and look at refferimg me to a fertility clinic so hopefully it will be a nice surprise for her that I will be asking about refferimg to a midwife instead!

I've been feeling ok, apart from really sore boobs and sleeping terribly! As I had an internal scan just after fw I really thought they would have seen if I was pregnant so wasn't expecting this at all this month. My cycles are really irregular so it was only when my boobs were agony for a few days which doesn't normally happen pre af that I even thought to test!

Congratulations everyone Star

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/10/2016 17:17

Aww we have the same EDD Seahawk :) Congratulations Flowers
The last few nights I've been exhausted by about 9pm, then by 2am I have been wide awake. (Not sure if it's pregnancy related though).
There is a secret Facebook page for those due in July if you feel up to joining :) xx

UKrider · 30/10/2016 17:39

What a great birthday present!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/10/2016 17:43

Thank you UKrider, it really was :) xx

UKrider · 30/10/2016 17:46

Thanks kitsandkids. That makes sense. I'm end of July birthday and always youngest in my year. I liked that though. Was at uni a couple of months after my 17th birthday :)
Children start school at 3 here in Wales. Hmmm. I can see that being really tiny if you're the youngest. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. (trying to be cool. Have already picked out a Montessori already)

UKrider · 30/10/2016 17:52

Mrsbobdylan. Wow. I'd thought one would be a blessing. I always wanted 3. I've left it too late for that I thought but you're an inspiration. Hang on, I'd better get somewhere with this one! I think I'm getting ahead of myself.

I'll find out more about tests over the next couple of weeks are report back.

Bloopbleep · 30/10/2016 20:19

Good to see some older mums here! I'm 41 and will be due just before I turn 42 (fingers crossed)
