TBH it looks like not many people are joining because we are still at the beginning of July. We still have 4th - 31st July to join. Some of them have not even entered FW!

Goldfish99 · 26/10/2016 17:29

Can I join? Got my BFP this morning!

Completely symptom free it doesn't feel real! So excited & terrified at the same time!

Nhs due date calculator is saying EDD of 03/07

Notyetthere · 26/10/2016 18:26

Goldfish welcome to the thread! You waited this long to poas. You did better than me then. I started poas 6days before AF.

Bloopbleep · 26/10/2016 18:30

Hello! Got my bfp on Sunday edd 2/7/17 -
I'm a bit wary of actually accepting pg after mc at new year

LuciBee231015 · 26/10/2016 18:52

Congrats ladies and welcome! 😊

Notyetthere · 26/10/2016 20:02

Bloop - Welcome! A few of us here have had mcs so we fully understand your apprehension.

Goldfish99 · 26/10/2016 21:16

Not I probably would have poas earlier if I had any symptoms! I was convinced AF was going to make an appearance! I had AF style cramps and really thought I was out even had a few drinks over the weekend oops! Must have been implantation cramps!

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 27/10/2016 08:15

Congratulations all! Hows everyone feeling today? I'm beginning to think pregnancy is designed to prepare you for sleepless nights as a parent given the cruel combination of no caffeine, excessive tiredness and now insomnia to boot!

FlatWhiteAddict · 27/10/2016 08:22

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post. Got a bfp yesterday after almost a year of trying, feels very surreal but great! Think my edd is something like 1st July 2017 😊
I have a question - I was worried about having a short luteal phase when we were trying, so I started taking 100mg of vitamin b6 a day. I really think this helped to balance my hormones, clear up my skin etc, and possibly helped me get pregnant. The rda for b6 is something like 1.9mg so I'm taking about 50 times that... should I stop taking it? I'm feeling a bit paranoid that it will lead to a drop in progesterone levels and could cause problems with the pregnancy.
Thank you very much for any tips/advice!

Notyetthere · 27/10/2016 11:05

FlatWhite Welcome to the thread and congratulations on your BFP! I don't have an answer to your question but I'm sure somone who is more knowledgeable will respond. You have got me thinking and slightly worried now, I was taking B-complex which had B6 in it right after my MC to help my hormones balance again but I stopped at about 6dpo. I also took Feroglobin mainly for the iron after losing a lot of blood but it also contained B6, I will finish the current pack on Monday. I am now also taking a Tesco own pregnancy multi-vit which also has B6 in it. I think it is way over RDA. I hope I haven't messed up my progesterone levels and lead to another mc. I am learning something new everyday.

Thumbsup Yes I agree. I am not sleeping well at! Tossing and turning all night. I going to chnage the bedsheets today to the very cotton ones and see if it makes a difference. Slightly sore nipples last night, DH is fascinated by it all Wink. I felt slight nausea this morning but it is all gone after my cup of tea. I am probably imagining it.
4+3 today

LuciBee231015 · 27/10/2016 11:18

I'm taking Folic acid and also vitamin D which is a really high dose but with research it's fine for me to be taking. You'll find that vitamins such as pregnacare and ones you get from boots etc are all quite low dose really and your body can use a hell of a lot more. Maybe ask your doctor when you go?

I was taking agnus castus this cycle for the first time to shorten my cycles and settle hormones. I stopped taking it when I ov'd.

I have insomnia too! I literally toss and turn all night long, can lay on my front cos my boobs hurt! I have woken at 3am on the dot every night the the past 5 nights, and struggle get back to sleep again!

I had a bit of a gagging sesh this morning after cleaning my teeth... I wasn't actually sick tho. Just gagged about 5 times haha.

Sometimes I feel like I have af cramps after I have done a wee or a no.2 (Soz for tmi) and then it goes after a couple of minutes.

Anyone else had their gp appointments yet?

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 27/10/2016 11:40

Sort of glad it's not just me, although sorry that we are struggling to sleep! I'll be asking my gp about vitamins tomorrow, I'm taking Asda own pregnancy vitamins but I have read somewhere that those with a higher bmi Blush should be taking a higher dose of folic acid. I've got a list of questions for my appointment tomorrow so ill report back! I also can't work out how many calories I'm supposed to be eating, I lost 25lb before my bfp on 1400 cals, I've upped to 2000 but I'm still losing weight. I suppose staying healthy is the goal but still a concern for me.

4 + 4 today for me!

Notyetthere · 27/10/2016 11:56

Luci I think I will also switch to Folic acid and calcium only instead and stop the multi-vit. I have taken them in combination so I might be taking enough Vit D and folic (also DH and I eat lots of broccoli) but I am more worried overdosing on the other vitamins. And the other thing is that my BMI is over 30 so I probably ought to take a lot more folic. Do we have to take folic throughtout the pregnancy?

LuciBee231015 · 27/10/2016 13:09

I have no idea what bmi I am, I'd probably say 25ish?

Do any of you girls go to the gym? I do weight training and my sister telling me I should stop. I trained last night but did half as heavy as I normally do... Not sure if I should be doing it at all? If my body is used to it, should be ok shouldn't it? Maybe will ask the midwife when I get my call back

BrioLover · 27/10/2016 16:35

Hello

Got my BFP yesterday. Due 1st July according to my app thingy. 2nd timer - had to remind myself of all the advice about pate and cheese and stuff Confused

Jaronior · 27/10/2016 17:00

Hi all! Can I join? Just got my bfp yesterday and am due 4th July. But nervous as I had a chem pregnancy in June so hoping this one sticks!! I'm an older mum at 37 and this is baby number 3 for me. Excited but nervous of another disappointment. Good luck to you all!! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months! 😀

FlatWhiteAddict · 27/10/2016 20:45

Thanks not, am going to try and see my GP tomorrow so will see what she says about the B6. So much to learn!

Notyetthere · 28/10/2016 09:08

Jaro and Brio Congratulations and Welcome to the July thread!

Jaro Yes here is to sticky beans! In the right place!

My cramps seem to have vanished today which is good I guess. Sore nipples, loving it.

Notyetthere · 28/10/2016 09:13

Luci Your sister could be right. Hold back on the weights. I watched a personal trainer on you tube and she said the same thing about heavy weight. She did however do squats with 10lb weights and she said that was ok. At least our bumps will be accompanied by lovely peachy bottoms Grin

I forgot to put my EDD! 01/07/17. And DC1.

Jaronior · 28/10/2016 17:38

Thanks Not, this is actually DC3 for me- I'm starting again at 38! 1st time for my other half. How's everyone feeling? I'm absolutely shattered but not had too many implantation pains. Not sure if that's because by number 3 my body is used to it now? Hoping it's stuck well, wasn't so lucky last time.

Jaronior · 28/10/2016 17:51

Oooo and did anyone set up a secret fb group? Smile

Bloopbleep · 28/10/2016 18:48

Up until yesterday I'd been nauseous, fatigued, my boobs ached and I had constant cramps and backache. Today I wake up and it's all gone. I'm only 4+5 but am terrified this is the end. Everything I read about not having symptoms this early online is from people who didn't have any to start with. I found the symptoms while quite horrible to deal with totally reassuring. Now they're gone and I don't know what to expect.

Jaronior · 28/10/2016 19:40

Know what you mean Bloop, as much as a pain they are to deal with they keep you quietly reassured. If it's any consolation I felt completely normal yesterday. Loads of energy all day, boobs didn't hurt, not overly hungry- today they were all back again! I had a very early mc in June and I had no idea- no symptom loss, no pain, just bled. I'd say keep positive but I know it's easier said!!
