What happened to end up delivering so early? It must have been terrifying.

It is truly amazing how NICU can nurture such tiny little lives, I hope you all feel in very safe hands

Congratulations scandi. I hope he continues to grow strong and can go home soon.

Apologies for the radio silence from me but just been getting through the days/weeks and work has been crazy. Have been keeping an eye on the posts.

Hoping you can all enjoy a little wind down time in the run up to Christmas. I am off from Friday through to January and I cannot wait to cram in the sleep!

Morning all hope everyone's well Smile

I'm now on my second full-on cold of this pregnancy, feel like it shouldn't be allowed to be ill when you're pregnant and can't take the proper drugs! Envy

Finally managed a better sleep last night though. Still woke up a few times but with blocked nose rather than hip pain this time!

everdene · 20/12/2016 09:10

Congratulations scandi!

JennyOfOldstones · 20/12/2016 09:56

Wow Scandi, can't believe the first baby from here's been born. Wishing you and your little one all the luck in the world over the next few weeks and months. Flowers

peanut2017 · 21/12/2016 00:26

Thanks for that bubbins - they still haven't decided what the person will do after I come back but I've said they should report into me otherwise 4 people involved in marketing in a senior role. Also wondering if anyone knows what happens re still getting a performance bonus or review with salary review if I'm out for nearly a year? Does it just depend on the company?

Hope you are ok helbelle you must have got an awful fright

Wow scandi congrats! Hope you and little one are doing well!

TopKittyKat · 21/12/2016 07:27

Hi Peanut - as I understand it, you should have your review and performance review as normal. My boss has already mentioned that I could use one of my KIT days to go in for it.
You may need to be proactive in asking for it, as I know some of my friends companies 'forgot' but you should definitely get this.

Scandi - I've been thinking of you. I hope your LO is getting stronger.

So, who else is still in work? I'm meant to be leaving in a mo but am currently lounging in the bath. It's going to be a mad dash to get ready in a minute! Friday afternoon cannot come quickly enough!

peanut2017 · 21/12/2016 08:01

Thanks Top think those days are just applicable in the uk but are a great thing. I'm in Ireland and as far as I know we don't have this. Will definitely mention this to my boss in January.

I'm finished for Christmas. Delighted as I'm wrecked. Not sleeping great. Just waiting on doctor for a scan.

everdene · 21/12/2016 08:17

Had some sad news - my DSis who was also pregnant has had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. She is so upset as we are very close and had done lots of chatting about our babies growing up together.

I feel so sad for her, and I know it might be painful to see me with my bump over Christmas, and later with the new baby, as it'll remind her of her loss. She is being very brave but my heart is breaking for her.

jpeg28 · 21/12/2016 08:20

Oh everdene I am so sorry for your sister. MC is one of the hardest things. It will be hard for her I'm sure. I remember not wanting any of my friends to fall pg after my MC (even though that was unreasonable!!) but you're her sister so she will be happy for you. Just be there for her however you can.
