Have a lovely babymoon marmite! Where are you off to?
topkitty that wine sounds good! Where is it from? I'll stock up!!

Hope everyone's ok. I have a banging headache today and sore throats which kept me up last night. Counting down the amount of lessons I have left to teach before xmas!

TopKittyKat · 06/12/2016 06:40

I hope you're having fun on your baby moon marmite

I ordered the wines from www.alcoholfree.co.uk
You do have to order a box but you can mix and match. I ordered three wines and then three of the lemonade, presse drinks.

I'm wishing this week away. I'm doing a professional qualification and I've got my exams this week. I had one yesterday, I've another today and last one tomorrow. I just hope I've done enough to pass. Yesterday's exam was quite hard!
Roll on tomorrow evening when it will all be over (hopefully - unless I have resits!)

MyGreenSofa · 06/12/2016 09:12

Good luck with your exams Kitty! I'll have to peruse that website.

Have a fab Babymoon marmite.

Christmas just around the corner! I'm going to miss a full cheese plate and some fizz this year but we are having our first xmas day at home just the 3 (soon to be 4) of us, so I'm really looking forward to it. What's everyone else's plans??

LuchiMangsho · 06/12/2016 09:17

A quick update. Back in hospital after a teeny bleed. Lasted a few minutes but they worry that a small placental bleed could trigger a bigger one. So far okay and I could be released later today. BUT I am on strike 2 and one more bleed and I am in hospital till I deliver. Baby is doing well and all else is fine. They want me to get to 28 weeks (mid Jan) with the baby at a good weight and they will then relax a tiny bit. My poor poor DS though. I miss him loads.

everdene · 06/12/2016 10:07

Oh Luchi that sounds really tough. Have they given you any idea of a cause?

It must be really difficult for you, fingers crossed you don't have to stay in until delivery. FlowersFlowers

LuchiMangsho · 06/12/2016 10:11

Low lying placenta. I have been told to expect it. It still isn't nice when it happens IYKWIM.

jpeg28 · 06/12/2016 11:06

Good luck Kitty and thanks for the alcohol free website, I'll get ordering!

Luchi really sorry you've been in hospital, what a stressful thing to happen. Really hope everything works out ok. Get lots of rest. X

everdene · 08/12/2016 21:06

Tonight I have been to a comedy gig in central London, as I was leaving, some wanker standing outside said 'I HATE people who wear Baby on Board badges!'

I was literally just walking past him! I called him out on it and some people nearby who heard what he said were outraged on my behalf but honestly, some people are dicks!

MyGreenSofa · 08/12/2016 21:18

Ugh what a dick. It's like some men forget they came from a woman. I hope you told him that if more men had manners in the first place we wouldn't need to wear them!

choccybiscuit · 08/12/2016 21:54

What a complete twat. He probably resents giving up his seat for a pregnant lady that's why!

everdene · 09/12/2016 22:54

I know! I was only wearing it as I'd forgotten to take it off, it wasn't like I was making a point. Bellend Wink

When is a good time to think about NCT sales etc? A friend who'd offered me her cot and pram is pregnant so I can't borrow it any more!

Strubo · 10/12/2016 18:34

Mumsnet keeps saying I'm not on any threads and I lose you all! How are we all doing? 24 weeks tomorrow! We are viable! I have my work xmas party tonight, I'm squeezed into non mat clothes that are stretchy as I refuse to buy anything for 1 night! I'm not staying late as we're looking after a friends 2 kids all day tomorrow as well as our 2 so I need to be on the ball!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 11/12/2016 07:00

I keep losing you all too!

Luchi hope you are out of hospital and doing well.

MonkeyArms · 11/12/2016 21:44

me too!

MyGreenSofa · 12/12/2016 13:06

Got to keep posting ladies or the "I'm on" threads drop off after a few days!

I've been feeling nauseous again which I wasn't expecting. Starting to feel more hormonal and physically strained too. Oh the joyful 2nd trimester Hmm

marmitecheesetoast · 12/12/2016 13:11

Hi all, back from holiday now, had a lovely relaxing time, I think it was just what the doctor ordered! Lots of lazing around on the sunlounger enjoying feeling babys kicks which are getting much stronger and more definite now! They even did some half decent mocktails and quite a nice alco-free beer (always tastes better in the sun)

Back to chaos in the house with still half-finished kitchen yesterday wasn't the best though!

Everdene that guy sounds like a total idiot, sounds like he has some issues! Ignore him!

People are starting to offer me seats on public transport more now but I still feel awkward accepting it, as if I'm not really pregnant enough to justify it. Does anyone else feel like that?! I know it's silly really, just feel a bit self conscious I think.

Hope you're ok Luchi and hopefully out of hospital now?

I ordered a mixed case of de-alcoholised wines from that website Kitty looking forward to sampling them! Apparently because they are 'de-alcholised' rather than 'alcohol free' they were actually 'normal' wine to start with then go through some sort of fancy technical process. Hoping this might mean they taste more like the real deal.... will report back!!

I am also wondering about nearly new sales and what not, haven't really thought about any of that at all yet so interested to hear what others are doing!

LuchiMangsho · 12/12/2016 13:15

Quick update. In hospital again overnight. Just about to be discharged. Need to come in again for any bleeding. After 24 weeks (in about 12 days' time), any more bleeds (they expect more) and I am in till I deliver. So have been told to go home, cuddle the older one and get ready for a long haul admission.

everdene · 12/12/2016 13:40

So sorry to hear that Luchi xxx

jpeg28 · 12/12/2016 14:40

Oh Luchi you poor thing. Fingers crossed you have no more bleeds... lots of rest.

Marmite glad you had a nice holiday!

Im suffering with SPD pain now and I'm so annoyed at myself as I think my trip to the gym (first time in a long time!) has triggered it. I've booked a GP appointment for after work but it's with a man... not sure how useful he will be!!

What's everyone getting in January sales? I'm keen to know as well! Even though I've spent all my money on xmas presents and need to not go out at all in jan!

marmitecheesetoast · 12/12/2016 15:43

Oh Luchi that's awful, you poor thing, must be such an unnecessary added worry Flowers

Thanks Jpeg
Sorry to hear about your SPD pain, hope the GP is helpful, maybe they will refer you for Physio? I've been back at work not even a full day and my lower back ache is back - was fine lounging on a sun lounger all day but sitting at a desk seems to make me so uncomfortable!

Is anyone else struggling with their bump at their desk already?! Can't figure out whether to go under or over it ha ha. Could do with a semi circular desk rather than a straight one Xmas Grin

jpeg28 · 12/12/2016 17:58

Well GP was a waste of time! They don't refer to physios... he saw me for a whole minute and said get in a warm pool and tread water!

MonkeyArms · 12/12/2016 20:58

oh luchi that sounds so stressful. how old is your other child?

jpeg have a look at www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk/treatment
I also have a number for a physio on the front of my maternity notes so may be worth asking your midwife if there is anyone you can go see.

everdene · 12/12/2016 21:40

I've got my works Christmas do tomorrow, looking forward to that without a drink to keep me going Hmm

I've had my nails done, it feels a bit lavish but I think I look a bit of a scruff so some polish about me will work wonders!

abeandhalo · 12/12/2016 22:14

Hi all. I think I jinxed myself quite badly last week, talking about how for the first time in my pregnancy I finally felt healthy and well again; cue 2 hospital trips this weekend with what turned out to be gastritis paired with urinary infection!

Had such severe abdominal pain, & I knew it was digestive & not baby related but as I couldn't sleep, eat or really function with the pain of it I knew it wasn't exactly good for the pregnancy!

Anyway, the docs I saw on Sun were very helpful, told me what action I needed to take & the right medication & now I'm definitely on the up, although still v reliant on painkillers & off work.

I won't be so cocky next time I'm feeling well again!

Mammy2BeOf2 · 12/12/2016 23:23

Following Smile had 21 wk check up last Thursday have been told my placenta is low so being re scanned at 32 wks but she said plenty of time for it to move up yet, any info on this would be great am young mum to one son already Smile
