Thanks ladies for the advice. I had no idea I wS allowed to use the pessary. I think I'll call the docs for a script tomorrow, I've got up go anyway to drop of a letter from the consultant, she's put me on 75mg of asprin.

choccybiscuit · 27/11/2016 18:19

Posted too soon. Me and dh are not and have not had any bd for ages as I've been so unwell so hopefully he's in the clear. Blush
marmite sorry to hear you hurt your back, doesn't help with the kitchen situation at all.
cajun headaches/ migraines are awful. I suffered every month before my period was due, I used to dread it. Sometimes I find caffeine helps now and again funnily enough as I'm usually decaff free anyway. Hope you feel better soon x

LuchiMangsho · 27/11/2016 20:56

Hi guys, I'm updating here instead of the FB group which I left. Please pass on the message to them. I'm ok. I had a huge bleed last week- was hospitalised twice. I've got Grade 4 Placenta Previa with suspected Placenta Accreta. I've been told to expect multiple bleeds, a high risk C section and a possible hysterectomy. I'm on sick leave for now. But other than that, the 20 week scan went well...and we're having another boy! Now I just need my placenta to behave itself.

Strubo · 27/11/2016 21:23

Luchi that all sounds really stressful, I hope you're doing OK. Congratulations on team blue and I hope your placenta behaves! I hope there was no problem with the Facebook group?

MonkeyArms · 27/11/2016 21:42

I'm sorry that you have had such a tough time and have been given such stressful news luchi. xx

Helbelle75 · 27/11/2016 22:05

I had acupuncture a few years ago for tension headaches and it really worked cajunkitty
Headaches have come back since pregnancy and insomnia, so thinking of going again.
Hope all is OK luchi, sounds very stressful.

LuchiMangsho · 28/11/2016 05:58

Nah. I was being superstitious. I will join again if no one minds once I feel a little calmer. I am ok for now and just taking it one day at a time!

Puggleface · 28/11/2016 07:03

luchi sorry to hear your worrying placenta news. I hope that it will be managed as well as possible, keep us all updated. Fingers crossed for no more horrible bleeds. Congrats on being team blue though!

I've been lurking here and spending more time on the FB group but just checking in! 20 week scan isn't till Saturday when I'll be 21 weeks! But baby has been very busy bouncing around in there which is nice.

got some new maternity clothes from H&M the jeans were tiny so are going back! Anyone found any maternity Xmas clothes? Jumpers or leggings?

jpeg28 · 28/11/2016 08:27

Luchi what a stressful worryinhbtime you must have had. So glad the scan went well and congrats on having a boy!! Hope it all goes as smoothly as it possibly can. X

MyGreenSofa · 28/11/2016 08:35

Luchi - Sorry to hear you've been having such stress and worry. I hope the next few months go as smoothly as possible, try and get some rest! Welcome to team blue!

CastleFeck · 28/11/2016 10:38

Luchi that sounds very hard for you, wishing you a lot of luck. Congrats on having a boy.

jobrum · 28/11/2016 12:52

cajun acupunxture pretty much stopped my migraines before pregnancy and did help a little bit during. Definitely worth a try, I have no idea how it worked but it did. And is very relaxing if nothing else!

jobrum · 28/11/2016 12:55

Luchi, must be so stressful. Take care of yourself.

Prive120 · 28/11/2016 13:43

luchi hope you're ok?

I'm also team blue. Had our scan today and measuring a few days ahead again. Also looks like he has long legs like his daddy as they're measuring 21 wks vs the rest of the body at 20wks. Beyond excited now and struggling to focus at work Grin

Good luck to everyone else having scans

marmitecheesetoast · 28/11/2016 17:02

Luchi sorry to hear you've had such a difficult worrying time Flowers BrewCake hope all goes smoothly as possible from here on in for you. Congrats on your team blue news!

I've found the New Look over bump jeggings great if that helps puggle? Really comfy.

Has been nice getting away from the kitchen chaos to a nice dust free office today ha ha. Can't really face going back home now and facing the building site!!

Who else is team yellow? Have you found you have an inkling one way or the other if it's a boy or girl?

Superbabywright · 28/11/2016 18:53

Luchi Fingers crossed your Placenta behaves. I worked with someone who had severe Placenta previa and she was fine. She was in hospital being monitored at the end of her pregnancy but more of precaution. But she went on to have another baby so fingers crossed for you.

I had heard that the stuffy nose was another symptom of pregnancy. I just hope I have a bit of respite before April.

I didn't know there was a FB group. Please can I join?
I'm still FB friends with a few ladies from when I was pregnant with my DD. It's great to stay connected.

RaRa25 · 28/11/2016 18:56

My phone has been playing up with MN so not been on in a while, so much to catch up on.
Lovely scan news and great pictures. My scan is on Friday, can't wait! We will be team yellow, but I agree that boys names are harder than girls.
Luchi sorry to hear what you have been going through hope you are ok.

RaRa25 · 28/11/2016 19:21

jobrumsorry to hear you are feeling down, please do not be hard in yourself you can't help the way you are feeling. Definitely go to the GP to talk over any worries.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 28/11/2016 19:51

Luchi sorry to hear things aren't going smoothly - I hope you're getting lots of support and info from the HCPs. I've been reading up about placenta issues as I know someone with placenta accreta and although it is serious good outcomes are very much the norm. Hope you are getting lots of rest x

ChatEnOeuf · 28/11/2016 19:57

Gosh Luchi that is frightening, especially the placenta accreta. I hope all goes smoothly from now on. Just say the word when you want to come back in the FB group, and I'll sort you out.

Don't worry about it, Jobrum - you wouldn't believe some of the things people say when they find out your baby died. Shows you who your friends are, that's for sure. Do look after yourself, pregnancy anxiety/depression is real and can be debilitating.

We are team yellow, I don't care what comes out so long as it cries :)

If you want to join the group, PM me your FB email address, Super. Lotsa is also an admin but her access to MN messages was playing up a while ago.

LuchiMangsho · 28/11/2016 20:11

Thanks guys. Taking one day at a time. I had a minor panic tonight. I had serious lower belly ache for 15 mins- thought I was cramping and worse was to follow. Thought 'oh no', and then I let out (thankfully with no else around), the MOST ENORMOUS fart. And erm...the 'cramping' disappeared. I really do need to Get A Grip!!

jobrum · 28/11/2016 20:17

Do people set up facebook accounts just for the group? I have an account but would like to get a feel for the group first before committing fully! (and someone at work is due roughly the same time as me and I think she mumsnets!)

jobrum · 28/11/2016 20:23

I think raising how I feel at my migraine check up is a very good idea. Will give me a couple of weeks to see how I feel. Apart from trying to find a new house to rent (and I'm not particularly worried about that) I really have nothing wrong in my life. There is no reason for me to feel anything but happy. I'm trying to focus on all the positive things.

Puggleface · 29/11/2016 11:45

VBACS - Anyone attempting one this time? anyone had one? I have a 'normal' consultant appointment this afternoon after being released from MFM high risk care. I have a long list of questions, anyone got any advise?

ChatEnOeuf · 29/11/2016 20:02

No advice about VBACs I'm afraid, Puggle - both of mine shot out like rockets in the conventional fashion. Well, one head-first, the other bottom-first, so maybe not so conventional! I'm very risk averse when it comes to childbirth, so I'm probably not one to ask. I know several ladies who have had successful VBACs, but I've also cared for babies who have survived a uterine rupture by the skin of their teeth. Hope the appointment went well.
