Sorry for multiple messages Blush

Managed to change it grow, scan now next Friday. Thanks again.

Streaky17 · 25/10/2016 15:41

In my head my libidos fine but the actual thought of making the effort and that much unnecessary movement stops me. That sounds really bad!

Still waiting for my scan appt, the MW was a bit vague on how they would be in touch... phone, text or post.

Is anyone else troubled by smelly people at supermarkets?
The last two lunchtimes I've nearly vomited because of how passersby smelt. Yuk

RasperryInAMelon · 25/10/2016 15:55

Streaky I wish (as does my DH) I'm with Badger... wishing it was higher tbh though, once a week at best now - DH is so understanding bless him.

We usually have a very sexual relationship and as silly as it sounds when I heard he'd been 'looking after himself' I got so upset and felt like it was all my fault...

Like Badger said, when it happens it's bloody incredible! Just finding the want to do it is the hard part, I'm so tired all of the time!

Hi :) Can I join? Pregnant with baby no 1, due May 20th. Was TTC for 18 months so a much wanted baby. Paid for private scan at 10 weeks as here in NI we don't seem to get seen until at least 12 weeks, I found out at 3 weeks so this was a super long wait!! Booking appt on 3rd November and consultant appointment on 9th!

Had my 12 wk scan today, good heartbeat and she/he was nice and wriggly! Very happy. Nuchal test was in normal range but bloods will take up to 2 weeks. We have decided to start telling people though as our families have been absolutely itching to be allowed and we can't hold them off any longer!

Streaky I'm with you on the smelly people, noticed it massively at the supermarket today! I know my sense of smell has got really sensitive but some people smelt awful! It bizarrely made me a bit embarrassed that I even thought that, so I'm glad I'm not alone Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/10/2016 20:23

Ah, that's fab news Cinnamon, must be amazing to see it in there jigging away x

GreyBird84 · 25/10/2016 21:22

Hi everyone, would like to
join in on these threads !

Due 21st May with DC2. A wee clomid baby.

Have my booking in app next fri when I'm nearly 12 weeks so I imagine I won't get my '12 week' scan until around 14 weeks which is very frustrating. DH wanted to go for a private one bit I'd rather put the money towards a 4D one later on. We had one with DS & it was fab.

Nurse15 I am in NI too !

Badgerbird · 25/10/2016 21:29

Welcome nelly! Congratulations Smilehow exciting to be having 2!!

Hi nurse and big congrats! I know what you mean, I knew really early too and it makes time drrraaaaag!

Hi bird, welcome and pleased to hear your happy news.

cinnamon great news on the scan, 12 weeks is such a milestone Grin

I had my booking in appointment today, midwife was lovely and I left feeling more positive about this pregnancy. Harmony on Sat so just gotta hang on a few more days....

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 25/10/2016 21:30

Happy scan day Cinnamon! Lovely news nervous, congrats and welcome nurse!

Very excited this evening, got home to a box of maternity clothes I won from ebay. Why aren't all clothes shaped like this?! DP very excited to see how much room there is left to fill in the over the bump trousers Grin

No jiggy for us I'm afraid and now I'm starting to feel slightly more human I'm wondering whether to tip him the wink tomorrow night before scan next day - wondering if it's going to be more weird to see what's in there before doing um, you know... Blush

Rabbitykins55 · 26/10/2016 08:27

Dream I agree! I may never go back to normal jeans, maternity ones are so comfortable! Grin

JulyLady7 · 26/10/2016 08:44

Awww Cinnamon, how fantastic. I'm so pleased for you.

Thank you Anne, that actually made me feel better!

MrsJW Exactly this. Lol. Fancy actually wanting to be nauseous! I still have very sore breasts and am needing to pee frequently night or day, but you read so much about nausea being a good indicator that things are progressing well.
My DH said to focus on the positives of no bleeding, cramping etc. So that's what I bec to do for the next 14 days! Literally can't wait!

JulyLady7 · 26/10/2016 08:45

Did anyone's midwife listen for the hb with a doppler at the booking appointment?

lucieloos · 26/10/2016 09:01

July, mine didn't but she said they do it at every appointment further along.

Rabbitykins55 · 26/10/2016 09:01

July mine didn't, she said it wouldn't be possible to hear it but I'd be able to hear it next time. I don't know if she means at the scan or 16 week appointment.

MissMooMoo · 26/10/2016 09:09

Mine didn't either, hoping to hear it at the next appointment.
10+4 today and still have bouts of sickness, its never a lot and always really liquidy based Blush sorry if TMI. I always feel slightly better afterwards.
As for DTD, we have done it twice since we found out, the idea of it is great in my head but in reality I have no energy or feel ill so it just never happens.

CinnamonTwist · 26/10/2016 10:05

They didn't listen to the hb at my scan, but she did show me it on the screen - it's so fast!

FoxMulder · 26/10/2016 10:05

My midwife had a go with the doppler but couldn't find the hb, but it was there at the scan a week later so all good.

Flingmoo · 26/10/2016 10:28

I remember the first scan for DS1 thinking the heartbeat looked like a little flashing LED light Smile It's like wow, my baby has got a little light and it's only going to get bigger and stronger!

I have just got in the bath and had a big surprise when I looked down at my boobs... they actually look like my boobs again - round and full rather than saggy empty tea bags! As in, they look like they did before I had DS1! Shock Amazing. Shame they'll probably go back to deflated balloons again after breastfeeding the new baby Sad

MrsJW15 · 26/10/2016 10:32

July I know, mad. Actually I was feeling a bit nauseous again this morning and now I wish it would go away! I need the loo all the time - I have to get up at least once a night and it's really annoying.

I didn't get to hear the heartbeat at booking in.

Has anyone started having any cravings yet? I haven't really but sometimes I want really crunchy things (like apples) or soft things (currently mango). So fruit mostly so far!

Flingmoo · 26/10/2016 10:36

Wow MrsJW15 they're very virtuous cravings Smile I've been craving milk last couple of days, which is odd. Other than that, I haven't fancied eating much other than toast Sad

Flingmoo · 26/10/2016 10:36

I've lost about 5 pounds due to having no appetite Sad Hope it picks up again soon. Go away, nausea, I've had enough of you now!

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/10/2016 10:45

I'm on fruit as well MrsJW15, and dairy Mamushka. Still mainly in the form of homemade smoothies. But also apples and a lot of dried fruit and nuts. I'm normally more into veg and salad but fruit seems to hit the spot and apples have helped with the morning nausea for some reason.

JulyLady7 · 26/10/2016 11:12

Ok, I won't expect to hear the heartbeat at the booking in appointment then. Thanks all. I heard or loud and clear at the private scan a few weeks ago but maybe the ultrasound is more sensitive than the doppler?
I don't have any cravings, literally just cannot stand the smell of fried chicken. I get awful nausea brushing my teeth every day and night, I gag and dry heave and it's just very strange. Other than that, it's not predictable but I think it's worse when I'm hungry. I don't get every day evening nausea anymore.
