They didn't tell me anything about receiving letters or phone calls! I think I get the results at my 16 week appt which is on the 29th of this month.
The measurement was 1.7 which I think is ok! We had a student midwife in with us and I heard the guy who did the scan say to her that they worry about anything over 3.

I woke up this morning and said to DH that it had been a week since I last threw up! That didn't last long unfortunately. Hoping it stops soon. I no longer feel ill 24/7 so I think that means it should be ending soon.

I also think I felt the baby move on Sunday, is it possible at 12+4 for the first baby? I had been sitting down for a while and it was just like a big air bubble that popped. Really quick and haven't felt it since. It did not feel anything like wind.

13 weeks tomorrow, so close to second trimester!

Morning. Good to hear of more scans and reassuring nuchals and Harmony tests.

12 weeks is quite early to feel anything but I don't know why they are so insistent that you cannot feel anything that early? I have convinced myself a few times too that I have felt a fluttery feeling, it's not wind as its always in the same place but if you ask any midwife or Google they'll say it's impossible to feel anything that early. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow.

Is anyone taking any kind of pregnancy support tablet other than just folic acid? I've been taking Boots Pregnancy Support (similar to pregnacare) and all it does it make me sick...

Adventuregame · 08/11/2016 11:43

I'm on Pregnacare Max but I'm very used to taking vitamins so I haven't had any problems. Look at the Healthspan website - their ones are good value.

teainbed · 08/11/2016 11:53

I also take Pregnacare. Just the normal one though. I would really recommend the breastfeeding one too if you end up breastfeeding long term, I have felt completely drained feeding long term and it really helped.

stationaryace · 08/11/2016 12:09

Folic acid and the NHS "women's health" tablets the midwife gave me which include folic acid - I found out towards the end of my previous pregnancy that I should have been on 4 x the normal dose of folic acid due to my BMI then, so although it's lower now I figure the extra won't hurt (and cover the days I forget to take).

teainbed · 08/11/2016 12:15

My midwife said there's some evidence that keeping taking folic acid can prevent restless legs in late pregnancy so probably wort doing that too.

1004Rise · 08/11/2016 12:21

I'm taking the Centrum during pregnancy (they were 3 for 2 in boots Wink) but I have to take them at lunchtime at any other time they just come back up again.

Adding "when will we find out results" to my list of questions for my scan on Wednesday Smile Hoping to tell my parents at the weekend first opportunity to do it face to face PIL will have to be FaceTime, would be better with clear results!

Rabbitykins55 · 08/11/2016 12:35

I've not had any results and I'm 14+3 now. I had my 12 week scan and blood odd two weeks ago. I'm hoping no news is good news.

MrsJW15 · 08/11/2016 12:37

1004Rise we got our results at the scan. She actually told us in the ultrasound room, along with the due date.

I've been taking folic acid plus Vit D but coming to the end of my supply now. Not quite sure what I should be taking for the next six months! I don't usually take multivitamins and I'm not sure I want to take anything unnecessary.

MissMooMoo · 08/11/2016 12:38

I am taking kirkland brand (costco) pre natel vitamin. The midwife said to keep takimg it past 12 weeks if I could afford it. I have a bottle of 300 Wink so I guess I will just keep on going until I run out.

Sipperskipper · 08/11/2016 12:53

I stopped taking all supplements just after 12w. Had very little sickness but they made me gag!! Even thinking of them now )the smell, the texture) is making me want to retch. There's no clear advice about continuing supplements after 12w so I've just stopped.

Great news on all the scans and low risk screening results!

1004Rise · 08/11/2016 13:00

Midwife told me to keep taking vitamins too... her comment was something along the lines of babies being leeches (lovely image Hmm) and stealing everything they could.... Smile

Adventuregame · 08/11/2016 13:08

I'm having a bit of a wobble today ! Leaving a well paid job, complete change of lifestyle, no more weekend lie ins, no more romantic couple holidays - What are we doing ! Panic !!!

I'm feeling pretty stupid today. Had a fall yesterday and although I'm sure everything is fine (spoke to 111 yesterday and the MW this morning) I still can't help feeling worried!

Seems like I took most of it on my hands and knees, but I jarred my ribs too when I hit the floor. I have some spectacular bruises forming... Sad

teainbed · 08/11/2016 13:41

I get that too Adventure! Is this your first? Wait until you get those gummy smiles from your baby it's all worth it.

mightymouse76 · 08/11/2016 13:47

adventure me too!
Was setting up a business, was supposed to be on a two week holiday of a lifetime in Japan (cancelled due to the sickness)...feel like life is a snow globe that someone just shook like crazy-everything is spinning in the air and I've no idea what it will look like when it lands!

Sipperskipper · 08/11/2016 13:48

I get that too adventure - having leisurely beeakfasts at the weekend, pub lunches, long dog walks, enjoying a netflix binge with takeaway & beer on a Friday night.... have a lot of adjusting to do I guess!!

Streaky17 · 08/11/2016 13:49

I still have a few weeks of the boots ones left- no ill effects from them.

I'm panicking about my scan tomorrow. What if all of this was for nothing? So scared.

It will be worth it adventure Smile

Adventuregame · 08/11/2016 14:03

Thanks all !! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Yes it's my first so it's just a bit of a shock to the system if I think too much about it !!

Damson I'm sure everything is fine. They're pretty well protected in there. Are you Rhesus negative blood do you know ?
