They would write or ring Anne. I got called back in after my booking appt to give another sample. No news tends to be good news.

Back from scan. All good. 12 weeks today so EDD 17th May (the day after DH's bday)

lucieloos · 02/11/2016 16:15

Thanks Adventure and nervousnelly guess I will have to order a load of stuff and send it back then.

Anne, my midwife said they would ring if there was any cause for concern with the bloods otherwise they would be discussed at the 16 week appt.

It seems everyone on here is having their 12 week scans at the moment! I'm 10w5d today and not having mine until 12w4d so almost another 2 weeks to wait. I'm going to be waaaayy behind although I do have to contend with harmony results next week so I guess one thing at a time!

PeachIcedT · 02/11/2016 16:23

Congratulations on your scans fox sonnet and adventure! My EDD also moved forward a bit (now 14th May) - I agree adventure it's nice to move forward a bit.

MrsJW15 · 02/11/2016 16:25

Nelly that's really helpful on jeans. I've ordered some to try, but it's really annoying not being able to try on in store. And I don't know if I can face TopShop Oxford Circus. I wish more shops carried their maternity stuff in store.

Adventuregame · 02/11/2016 16:25

Peach we're the same due date now !

H&m and topshop in Westfield stratford both have a small range in store. I asked at the new look there and she told me the closest place they had was oxford st,they actually have a section in the old shopping centre in Stratford just accross the street.
I think I am going to order loads online and try on and return what I don't like.

RasperryInAMelon · 02/11/2016 16:34

Might be a bit of a way out - but New Look in Bexleyheath have a small range in store

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 02/11/2016 16:42

Hi everyone. Lost this tread for a while.
I hope you are all feeling well. Unfortunately my HG has been really bad and I'm really fed up of being sick now!

Also I'm going to be 12 weeks on Friday, and have heard nothing about a scan. So called community midwife who told me to call the unit directly. They say there is no referral for me.... so doubt I'll get an appt in time for nuchal fold measurements etc. Not he end of the world I know, but I already have a child with a genetic syndrome, and would like to be prepared if possible.

Anyway. Roll on the 2nd trimester and feeling more human (hopefully!). X

McBaby · 02/11/2016 16:43

I have got some gap over the bump jeans they are great but no way will they last till 40 weeks but I chocked make it through the winter.

After that it's leggings and dresses.

Northernexile · 02/11/2016 16:48

So sorry to hear your news July. Hopefully you will be back on another thread soon x
Congrats to everyone else who has had scans in the last couple of days.
I found H&m over bump jeans were the best last time, and the denim was good. They fitted all the way through and I never felt like the bottom of my bump was getting cold or that they would fall down!

Adventuregame · 02/11/2016 16:53

I've ordered some jeans from Seraphine as everywhere else seemed to just do skinny style and I wanted straight leg. I'll let you know what they are like when they arrive. I figured I don't mind spending on a really good pair of jeans and then other stuff can be cheaper !

Just caught up - July so sorry, look after yourself Flowers

Ladies, I am starting to stress that I have put on way more weight that your 'supposed to' at this stage according to everything I've read.
I keep justifying to myself that I'm tiny anyway and could afford some extra, and my BMI is still in ideal range even if you ignore that I'm pregnant
....but I've put on a stone, and if I keep going at this rate I'll be huge! And aren't there risks associated with GD if you put on too quickly?

Please tell me I am not the only one to have put on more than the recommended "2 - 3lbs"

RasperryInAMelon · 02/11/2016 17:10

Gertie I've put on around 5lbs I think. I read 1-5lbs during the first tri is normal.

For the whole pregnancy it's estimated to be 1lb per week for the rest so around 25-35lbs.

On other news on jeans, I tried on some in Mothercare last week which were super comfy!

Streaky17 · 02/11/2016 17:13

Absolutely not alone gurtie. I feel like I've put on loads probably closer to half a stone though. I did have a tummy roll before which makes my bump look bigger now so I'm more conscious of it than I should be.
I can only lose weight if i starve myself (which I'm not doing now) so it didn't help that my midwife made me feel bad at my booking in.

Badgerbird · 02/11/2016 17:49

july, just a thought, if you're still reading.... I had 2 MMC in the last year, I pushed for loads of tests from my gp, all came back normal but they have put me on progesterone & aspirin for this pregnancy. Who knows if it helps or not but I'm happy to try. Sounds like your gp will look after you, make sure you get all the support you need. X

Badgerbird · 02/11/2016 17:55

Big congrats adventure, fox, sonnet!! I know how nervous you all were :) hopefully you can enjoy being pregnant for a while now, till next hurdle ;)

I have some nice news, got my harmony results back just now, low risk. Feeling very lucky.

lucie I've not got my dating scan till I'm 13+4! Extra pleased I went for harmony now!

lucieloos · 02/11/2016 18:33

Oh badger, that's brilliant news about the harmony results you must be so relieved! How long did they take to come back? I'm still waiting although hasn't been very long yet but feels like forever! Glad someone else has a late dating scan!

LorrieJ · 02/11/2016 19:21

I don't know how much weight I've put on so far as I don't weigh myself. I'd hazard a guess that it's plenty given the confidence boosting experience I had picking up DD from nursery tonight. A little girl curiously asked what was in my stomach and why it was so big. Given I'm 9 weeks, I'm pretty sure it isn't a proper bump yet. 😕
On other tenuously linked news, my darling girl cat has taken a liking to broccoli, stealing some of my plate and savaging it on the living room floor. Thanks cat. I'll stick to folic acid tablets in future.

SETRu83 · 02/11/2016 19:28

Hey Ladies

New to this thread, posted on the old one. I'm due right at the beginning of May so im 14wk+3. And TBH not feeling very pregnant!! The nausea has subsided ( just a bit in the morning) I've not really gained weight but am still feeling bloated on a night! And I'm not too tired anymore! Don't want to sound like I'm gloating, I just thought I'd feel more preggas!
Had my scan 2 weeks ago all ok, just waiting for it grow now I suppose!!

Barnes79 · 02/11/2016 19:50

So now I'm 10w +3 and all my nausea and fatigue has gone - it stopped middle of last week. I've read that's only meant to get better week 12 onwards. Is it weird that now I'm panicking that everything has gone wrong? I've read things on here about how people had their symptoms stop only to find out at a later date that the embryo had stopped growing weeks before and it's scaring the heck out of me. I still have sore boobs (but figure that would take time to subside) and night back pain but have had a bad back for years so am quietly freaking out.
I'd love a private scan but finding the time off work for me and hubby would be difficult (my boss is already semi-pressurising me to tell everyone my news and if I had a scan I know it would be even worse and I want to wait til 12W to tell everyone - I had to tell them as I am a physio in a hospital so have heavy lifting and contact with contagious bugs)

Sonnet18 · 02/11/2016 20:05

So I'm not sure on this whole gender skull theory thing...anyone want to have a guess?

Hi all. I'm new to this and have just had my 12 week scan. I've been told they recommend a CVS test, have any of you had this test done? What are your thoughts on this? Due date is 19 May 😁
