Thank you! So I'm 10+6! Although that's from an app and not what the midwife said on Thursday. I think I'm just gonna wait until my scan to tell me what I'm hoping will be a more accurate date?

fempsych · 29/10/2016 21:55

TMI - just had some blood when wiping. I'm 10 weeks today from early scan ( at 8+5)...do I just wait and see what happens? :-(

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 29/10/2016 21:59

Second attempt at 12 week nuchal scan a success woohoo. Ghost or anyone want to try out the skull theory? Sonographer said 'don't paint your nursery yet but I think it's a...'

Sunflower that's cool that you've found you could tell from the nub at this stage, I know it's not definite but I've suddenly gone OTT on googling names and decorating ideas Grin

Femp, I've had this recently as well. What colour was the blood? I booked a scan the same day and everything was completely fine with the baby. She said it was possible I had a tiny bruise in the uterus or irritation from the cervix. The fact you had a good scan at 8+5 is really positive.

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 29/10/2016 22:06

Fempsych quite a few people on here have had some blood and been ok but maybe ring 111 (NHS Choices) so you can describe exactly what you've had and ask for advice? Big hugs.

RasperryInAMelon · 29/10/2016 22:07

Dream... I'm saying girl...

fempsych · 29/10/2016 22:12

Red blood. Not much of it yet. Does this justify a scan or do I just wait it out? Things like this always happen at the weekends!

lucieloos · 29/10/2016 22:37

It's up to you femp, maybe see how it is in the morning. I don't think you will get a scan on the NHS on the weekend but you could see if you could get a last minute private one somewhere if you are worried.

CinnamonTwist · 30/10/2016 06:45

They will probably offer you one first thing tomorrow if you phone up femp probably worth it to put your mind at ease. My MW told me to report any unexplained bleeding. Hope everything is ok Flowers

EsmesBees · 30/10/2016 07:27

It depends where you are femp. In my bit of London only one of the early pregnancy units scans at weekends. I know as I had bleeding at 9 weeks last time and it turned out fine. It was a ectropion on the cervix which are apparently really common in pregnancy and often cause bleeding a day after sex. It might be worth you calling your EPU to see if any hospitals locally do scan at weekends. Hope all turns out ok for you.

fempsych · 30/10/2016 09:29

Thanks - decided just to ring tomorrow and see what they say. The EPU opens at 8 and I work in the same building so hopefully try will want o scan me. I wasn't sure whether you reported unexplained bleeding and just waited to see what happened.

PeachIcedT · 30/10/2016 09:38

Lots of scans in the last few days, so congratulations to everyone! Dream that is a lovely scan pic. I had a look at skull and nub theory, this is certainly new territory to me! There are even online quizzes on the topic.

Femp I hope all is ok, good idea to contact them tomorrow and it must make things easier working close by.

Badgerbird · 30/10/2016 13:00

fem that must be scary but sounds like you are staying calm which is good as sooooo many women seem to have a little bleeding in pregnancy. Good that you're getting it checked out tomorrow, hope you can enjoy rest of your wknd a little :)

lucie yes it's so nerve wracking isn't it!! Mind you life's been prettty much like a rollercoaster for us since Sept 2015 when we first found out we were preggo for first time!! We are just gonna try and stay positive as much as poss this week, enjoy being preggo whilst I am and keep ourselves busy with house renovations. Maybe a trip to the cinema too. Do you have a plan of action to keep the brain from going nuts?!?

lucieloos · 30/10/2016 13:56

Badger, same here we have been on a rollercoaster since April 2015 when we started IVF but ttc for another 2 years before that as well so I'm terrified something will go wrong and it will all be over. Like you im just trying to stay busy and not think about it too much. I also try reminding myself that there's a less than 1% chance of there being something wrong. Not sure it helps too much though.

Badgerbird · 30/10/2016 14:55

Blimey lucie that's a long time Hun. No wonder you're nervous. I seem to be able to get pregnant it's hanging onto them that's been the problem in the past. Not this time though ;)
I like the statistic you gave :) let's both hold onto that and have a good week SmileBrewCake

Adventuregame · 30/10/2016 20:09

I kept having twinges today - just on one side like ovulation pain. Worried !

Streaky17 · 30/10/2016 21:05

Hi adventure I've never had ovulation pain but in the last week I've had pain on one side then the other. It could just be (another bit) stretching.

femp I hope the bleeding has stopped and the scan goes well!

Congratulations on all the recent scans, great to see the pictures! I've got mine tomorrow at 12+6. This is DC #3 and I'm worried about my bladder holding out for the appt! I e totally forgotten when you should start drinking beforehand to make sure you get enough inside you-any tips please? Smile

RasperryInAMelon · 30/10/2016 21:29

Adventure I've had a few twinges this week too... this is my first pregnancy so am hoping it's just stretching and growing. 10+2 today and scan on Nov 15th so trying to stay positive! I'm sure all will be ok

stationaryace · 30/10/2016 21:56

marzipan my scan was mid-afternoon so I drank as normal in the morning and drank half a litre of water 40 mins before. I stopped off at a shop on the way in and kinda need to pee then so figured that was a good sign.

Marzipanmodelling · 30/10/2016 22:00

Thanks stationary x
