Huge congrats on scans today ghost and smoke!!! Smile Were you ok in your own ghost? Hope all going well for you stationary

Fingers crossed for you sausage, I understand how you feel, I had an early reassurance scan this time (after 2 mmcs) and made a total prat of myself on the table when we saw the healthy heartbeat, I couldn't stop crying!! Here's to you celebrating tonight :)

growcookeat · 28/10/2016 17:33

Aww so lovely to hear about your scans ghost and bright. Mine was also being naughty - it took over half an hour as the little scamp was rolling around under my belly button and I had to go out to wee twice as my bladder was too full apparently! I hadn't even drunk as much as the letter said - must have a small bladder! DH nearly missed it as parking was a nightmare but luckily he ran in as they called me through.

Did anyone hear the heartbeat clearly? We heard it for a few seconds at the beginning but the sonographer didn't really mention it, she was very quiet. I suppose they have to concentrate.

Just told our first set of friends today as we're meeting up with them tomorrow. Straight after another friend in the group text and said she's also pg! Only about 8 weeks though apparently. DH is a bit miffed that they stole our thunder! I think it doesn't really matter in the long run and I'm glad I had a scan to reassure me before having to tell people.

lucieloos · 28/10/2016 17:46

Brilliant news on all the scans today! We heard the heartbeat yesterday grow and got it recorded on a little bear thing. It sounded like a steam train! She said they could only do it after 10 weeks though as they aren't meant to use the doppler before then.

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 28/10/2016 18:04

Lovely scans ghost and bright, had my 12 week scan yesterday and would you believe it, another naughty one! Little bean started off waving and at one point saluting us Grin and then burrowed it's little head down and nothing - coughing, undignified wiggling, weeing, more coughing and wiggling would get it to move. I couldn't have the nuchal test and the sonographer, who had tried his best, just said have a blood test at 15 weeks, it's less accurate but meh. Did anyone else with a camera shy baby experience this?

I was pretty devastated as I'm 36 so I want an indication - and I just wanted us to be joyful at what we'd seen. Instead we spent the car journey back to my work making a million phonecalls resulting in a private re-do tomorrow. OH can't come as working away and mum on weekend away. Boss found me sobbing and offered to come with! Really touching but mum rearranged weekend away. Have got over self now and looking forward to seeing the bean again so soon - and getting back on track with where we would have been test wise if only bean had just listened to me in the first place...

Ghostonthedancefloor · 28/10/2016 18:21

Thanks everybody! It's so nice everyone sharing the excitement Smile

cinammon yep I'm saying girl!

badger yes I was ok I heard "oh are you on your own?" A few times! It was such a shame for such an emotional moment to only have been seen by myself though. But I have 5 more scans to look forward to! To keep an eye on growth, maybe to do with the previous high bp?

RasperryInAMelon · 28/10/2016 22:12

Anyone else suffering with toothache?

stationaryace · 28/10/2016 22:25

For the most part we had a well behaved little bean, sitting nicely for photos and just slightly jiggled to get the nuchal test done. Last time I had to do star jumps in the room to move the little troublemaker - oh I wish that was a joke, jumping with a full bladder is not fun. Dated at 11+5 so due date is 14th May now.

ghost I ended up going to several scans alone last time after I got my GD (diabetes) diagnosis and DH wasn't able to keep taking time off every 3-4 weeks for scans. It felt weird at first but I took a trashy mag and just enjoyed the peace eventually. And extra photos to keep/misplace.

EsmesBees · 29/10/2016 07:00

I am Rasberry. I'm just waiting for my exception card and will be off to the dentist. I'm not that surprised, flossing makes me gag so I've been avoiding it these past weeks.

notasillysausage · 29/10/2016 07:24

My scan last night went well, I am so relieved! Measured at 9weeks 5 days and the little one was wriggling around! Feel a bit more relaxed until my 12 week scan now Smile

RasperryInAMelon · 29/10/2016 10:48

Esme I think I'll do the same. I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth out next week but the surgery got cancelled because of the pregnancy. But I got crazy toothache last night!

Anne and Ghost wedding turned out ok, couldn't believe it though, was talking to another lady who's due in Dec who was marginally bigger than me! Not quite sure where it's come from, but I've ballooned in the last few days!

lucieloos · 29/10/2016 10:59

That's brilliant news sillysausage!

Raspberry, definitely got a bump there! Hope you can get your tooth sorted.

Had another scan today as part of my harmony test. The baby was very active and kicking it's legs and waving at us. It looks like it's sticking it's tongue out at us in the photo so cute! We have to wait 7 working days for the results of the harmony. I'm so nervous!

Streaky17 · 29/10/2016 11:12

That is an impressive bump raspberry and a gorgeous dress. It looks like it has a bit of room in it if you need to wear it again.

Glad your scan went well sausage.

I'm making Christmas cake today and its the closest I got to booze since becoming pregnant. Its not that I want to drink it just knowing I can't for so so long.

RasperryInAMelon · 29/10/2016 11:18

Lucie fingers and toes crossed for you!! The tooth ache seems to have died off this morning, but I might book a check up just to be safe!

It has Streaky but soooo comfy! £21 from ASOS and teamed with my M&S maternity tights, I couldn't have asked for more! I think I'm going to order it in red to wear to our 7th and final wedding of the year next Thursday!

Sipperskipper · 29/10/2016 14:10

You look glowing raspberry!

Ghostonthedancefloor · 29/10/2016 14:28

Awww gorge raspberry!

beachsands · 29/10/2016 14:47

Well done on surviving weddings raspberry. I can't stay up past 10pm. I was sick again today. It seems tea for breakfast and moving within an hour will set me off Hmm . I managed to put make the kids dinner (and freeze a few) as well as put DHs favourite dinner on. I haven't finished making a dinner in weeks due to the queasiness so a success!

RasperryInAMelon · 29/10/2016 16:04

Awwww thanks Sipper and Ghost Blush

Wasn't feeling glowing unless I was having a hot flush! Ha!

Beach I just about managed the day, was exhausted by 9.30pm, stayed until about 11.30pm and passed out when I got back to our hotel.

DH has gone to a friends birthday thing tonight, I've opted for Disney films and crackers in bed so I can rest while the house it quiet!

Badgerbird · 29/10/2016 16:12

sausage and stationary brilliant news on scans Smile

Wow raspberry, you look fab!! Hope you are enjoying your relaxation time now :) All that wedding small talk can get a bit tiring Wink

So harmony scan went well, I couldn't believe it when we saw our wriggly little blob and heard it's strong heartbeat. Such a relief!! Now to wait for blood test results. I'll be thinking of you next week waiting for yours too lucie.

lucieloos · 29/10/2016 16:18

Aww badger we should be getting our results around the same time then! It's so nerve wracking isn't it!

lucieloos · 29/10/2016 16:20

Oh and I asked the lady about getting the nuchal as well and she said not to that there's no point as they test for the same thing and harmony is more accurate and nuchal will just throw up a different set of results but I think what I've decided to do is go to the dating scan and ask them to measure the nuchal which they should be able to tell me there and then but I'm not going to have the bloods side of it done. I think a good nuchal measurement and harmony will be plenty for me.

fempsych · 29/10/2016 19:26

Wow! Raspberry - looking fabulous. That is a lot of weddings in one year!

teainbed · 29/10/2016 19:37

lucie that's what I did in the end. It was good to have a low risk Harmony but also see a thin nuchal.

Samatamfabahaba · 29/10/2016 21:00

Hi, I'm very new to all this, just had my booking in apt and awaiting the 12 week scan date to arrive in the post. Seems like it's taking FOREVER to come, and for it finally to become "real". Can I ask (what is probably a silly question to all you wise people) what 10+1, or 12+ 3 means? I'm still learning so much and feeling very overwhelmed.

Thanks in advance Smile

WishIWasSleeping · 29/10/2016 21:11

That's your weeks plus days pregnant.
So, say if tomorrow you'll be 12 weeks pregnant, they would say today you are 11+6.
It's nice and accurate for when they try and totally guess work out your due date! Grin

Streaky17 · 29/10/2016 21:15

Hi samatam. Welcome!

It just means the number of weeks followed by the number of days. So I'm 10+5. Its just an educated guess until you have the dating scan.

Everything seems to drag whilst pregnant...waiting for the next milestone.
