Anyone else Due June 2017?

1000 replies

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Going to tell our parents today and I'm shitting myself. I don't know why as I know they'll all be really happy, first grandchild, plus we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary last month so they will be expecting it. My mom cleans our house and I accidentally left a book about fertility in the coffee table last week so she probably knows we've been trying anyway.
I know it's soon as we're only 5+1 but if something was to happen we'd tell them anyway. Wish us luck!

Mooseville · 15/10/2016 08:08

Good Luck!!! I was nervous telling mine, but got really emotional telling them! I'm sure she'all be over the moon!

pinkapples Definitely to do with the pregnancy! It is what prompted me to think I was pregnant in the first place as was my first symptom with DD and I started waking up st 3/4 am and not being able to go back to sleep!

It last throughout most of my last pregnancy but the good news is, I didn't find the night feeds nearly has hard as my DH did! Grin

Poppydm · 15/10/2016 08:11

Sorry to read about the losses and congratulations on the bfps. Mummyh I'm exactly the same. I've told my Mum and she was thrilled but need to tell my dad and his wife this weekend and feel so nervous! It's ridiculous! We're in our thirties and been married over two years. Let us know is it goes. I'm sure they'll be thrilled.
I'm having sleeping woes too. I fall asleep like a total log but keep having these awful night sweats. It didn't happen last night so just seems to be random.

KittyVonCatsington · 15/10/2016 08:11

RetroHippy You are an absolutely star to be going through this, looking after DS and DH. Your just that bit closer to meeting your future little one, I just know it xx

Russkispy · 15/10/2016 08:14

I used to take melatonin back in a day then slept without it. Internet is divided about melatonin during pregnancy. Melatonin is a natural hormones indicates when it's time to sleep but is it safe? Need to make more research on it. Is anyobody taking melatonin on here? I still got a bag of it and it's 3mg which is a recommended dose for pregnancy. Will also ask my acupuncturist and revert

KittyVonCatsington · 15/10/2016 08:32

Sorry my post about sleeping should have been aimed at Russkippy- oops!

babyand · 15/10/2016 08:35

Morning everyone. I too have the slew problems but I wonder is it just our brains doing over time?

For all those soon to have 2 under 2. Are any of ye feeling guilty on dc1? I have a terrible pang of guilt over going to have a new baby and not able to give her the attention she deserves!

Masweetpea1 · 15/10/2016 08:48

Morning all, i also didn't sleep but that's because i was up every hour retching. I finally started being sick at 6 which was actually a relief and have had 2 hours sleep since. Ugh. I don't remember it being like this last time Confused

Sixisthemagicnumber · 15/10/2016 08:48

Friends I know with two under two who are older now say it is mental for a couple of years but then the close age is lovely.

I'm going to have 2 under 2 and I am not looking forward to the first year as I expect it is going to be really hard but I think it will be much easier when they are age 5+ and can play together etc and rely on me a bit less for constant entertainment. I'm also looking forward to a bit of sibling rivalry and bickering as I didn't get that with my older ones due to one having a disability

KittyVonCatsington · 15/10/2016 08:53

I'm not sure I feel guilty as such babyand but I have been thinking how I'm going to support DD in getting to know her sibling, whilst having to help her understand a newborn needs holding/feeding more etc.!!! Oh well! What will be will be!

MumofthreeandBean · 15/10/2016 10:01

I had 2 under 2, and 3 under 5 - it wasn't that hard! I was a SAHM, I loved it, being organised is key!
My dd helped with the baby, feeding baby whilst reading with dd or tv time when baby needed particular attention.
The hardest bit for me was leaving dd when I was at hosp giving birth!
Having child sleeping well is really handy too, dd had an afternoon nap and slept well at night.

Russkispy normally I LOVE my sleep but finding myself wide awake at night since getting pregnant. Last night I didnt sleep til half 3. I wasn't expecting this as everyone says when youre pregnant you get so tired and sleep all the time.

It isn't affecting me too badly though I still have enough energy to get through the day.

Went to see Bridget Jones Baby last night, laughed and cried the whole way through it Grin

MoonlightMojitos · 15/10/2016 12:20

I woke up at 4am feeling to starving and sick had to eat some toast and crisps then back to sleep! I'm going to get huge! Then up again at 8 starving again.

I had my first emotional outburst last night too, sobbed to dp about how sorry I felt for him because I'm so miserable and every evening with him I'm just feeling sick and bloated and sore and grumpy.

6+2 today, mc at 6+4 last time so can't wait for this next week to be over so we can book a scan.

Dragon5000 · 15/10/2016 12:42

2 nights in a row after waking up between 3 and 6am and not going back to sleep for the last 4 weeks I've managed to go back to sleep! There is light at the end of the tunnel!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/10/2016 12:53

I was up at 5 with DS Angry I could quite happily have slept until midday!

haveacupoftea · 15/10/2016 13:59

Does anyone have pains in their tummy? Not very painful, not cramps but like stretching pains? Its nearly like ive constantly eaten slightly too much.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/10/2016 14:09

I've had dreadful pain all night, was convinced I was going to wake up bleeding.
I had a tooth out on Thursday so just put it down to the fact I've been taking lots of codeine and have been eating soft food. I swing between feeling sick to having tummy ache like I've over eaten. I'm 6+2.

haveacupoftea · 15/10/2016 14:19

Thats good to know peace thank you. I feel sick along with the pains too so I guess it must be normal uterus stretching for us both as we are at a similar stage too.

MoonlightMojitos · 15/10/2016 14:54

tea I have constant pains. Cramps, ovary pain (I have a cyst picked up on my scan but very common and nothing to worry about), bloating and alternating between diahorrea and constipation. And lots of wind. It's all fun and games!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 15/10/2016 15:00

Lots of pain here too. It feels like ovulation pain but I'm guessing it's my ligaments stretching. I didn't get it this early last time but ds3 has only just tuned one so I'm guessing everything will happen quite quickly this time.

Masweetpea1 · 15/10/2016 15:29

I had a lot of stretching pain in the first 5 weeks, it's eased off now.

Spent most of the day in bed with this sickness, i can't tell now if it's morning sickness or good poisoning, whatever it is it's bloody awful with a 16 month old jumping on me Sad

Masweetpea1 · 15/10/2016 15:34

*food not good !!

SairdyJane25 · 15/10/2016 15:38

Exactly 4 weeks today with no2, BFP on Wednesday. Spent all of yesterday feeling as sick as a dog, with horrendous indigestion. When I was pregnant with my son (he's 22 months) I was 7 weeks before I got any symptoms other than being exhausted. Anyone else found it all happens quicker 2nd time round?

haveacupoftea · 15/10/2016 16:34

Sorry to hear everyone else is having pains but glad i'm not alone. I feel quite wretched today! But I shouldnt complain because I am just so lucky to be pregnant!

I treated myself to a pair of maternity jeans today, i can see me wearing them before long as I cant bear to have anything touching my tummy! Blush
