Anyone else Due June 2017?

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Goingmadttc · 10/10/2016 21:47

Congrats Beanbag and welcome!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/10/2016 21:50

I didn't really have one tbh! I'm overweight and my tummy just went sort of solid but stayed the same size until around six months Confused really selling myself, aren't I?

Skee · 10/10/2016 21:59

Urrgh. What a long flipping day, finally checked-in to my hotel, at least it's only 6hrs driving tomorrow, between appointments Hmm

tea - I flipping love that chart, just sent it to DH to put both our minds at ease.

Thanks very much for sharing it!

userabcname · 11/10/2016 07:00

Thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones and not get morning sickness but sadly it seems to have begun...been feeling sick since 5am and then threw up after one cup of tea! Confused

Oh dear katniss.

I remember with my 3rd pregnancy I literally couldn't smell anything in the mornings, I would retch and gag all morning long, the bus driver knew me well 😂
I don't remember when it stopped though....

Masweetpea1 · 11/10/2016 07:27

katniss, I'm with you this morning in more ways than one!! Also been up since 5 with morning sickness and an awful headache. I'm still wretching but nothing left to come out. Hideous.
But a really good sign that hcg levels are increasing. Smile

VeganMama83 · 11/10/2016 08:05

I only seem to be getting the nausea when I'm up early to go running or work on the weekends. That's when I'm up between 4.45-5am.

Spots are still there with a vengeance sadly!

Joy388 · 11/10/2016 11:41

Tea I love the chart too, thanks for sharing. Smile

I, like many of you, will also book an early scan privately. I think the money is definitely worth it if it reduces the worrying (and it'll probably still cost less than all the money I've spent on opks and HPTs Wink). I have so few symptoms at this stage that I don't really feel pregnant if that makes sense. Although it seems that the nausea is only hitting a lot of you at 6 weeks so perhaps I have that to look forward to. I hope you're not suffering too much.

4+4

Sixisthemagicnumber · 11/10/2016 11:49

We had a private early scan last time (dc3) and it was very reassuring. I wasn't going to bother this time but DH is adamant that he wants one and said £40 is a very small price to pay for peace of mind. I'm not going to argue as I know it will be a treasured moment.

annakd1234 · 11/10/2016 11:50

£40! I want to live where you live! They're £100 here!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 11/10/2016 11:54

Yes, we paid £40 last time and I just checked and they are still £40 and the sonographers they use all work within the NHS as sonographers. You do only get a 15 minute scan for that price but 15 minutes is all you need for an early scan as there isn't much that can be pointed out.

Joy388 · 11/10/2016 11:56

hi Six, I'm glad to hear that your early scan was reassuring last time. £40 is much lower than any price I've seen near me (London)... I think I'm going to have to shop around a bit!

Joy388 · 11/10/2016 11:57

Annakd - glad it's not just me seeing £100 as a minimum price ! Grin

Sixisthemagicnumber · 11/10/2016 11:59

In in the north west and there are a few between £40 and £60. Maybe £100 is the going rate for the SE? It does seem quite a big leap in price though.

VeganMama83 · 11/10/2016 12:09

It's £45 here but there are places that do 30 min ones for £99. Can also get gender scans for £45 here too

5 weeks today Smile

MacNcheese87 · 11/10/2016 12:30

I'm in London/Kent and the average is £100 here. I paid £105 in Harley street last time with my DS, next week I have a scan booked for £60 in West Malling.

However, there is peek-a-baby who have sites in London and Birmingham and they do it for £45. I couldn't attend at the right dates this time (was adamant I wanted late week 7 and I am going away week 8)

Might be worth a google if anyone is in London looking for a cheap scan. I think their appointments are only 15 minutes too but they have good reviews.

VeganMama83 · 11/10/2016 13:01

It's peek a baby I've used and am using again this time. Also had a 4d scan with them. They are really good!

Mooseville · 11/10/2016 13:03

Ours is £100 on Harley Street. I'm actually just as excited to be going to an appointment on Harley Street than I am the scan!!! Grin

peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/10/2016 13:05

I was sick in an alley way near play group this morning. Luckily I had a roll of sandwich bags with me for that very purpose EnvySad I can't believe how much earlier this is happening than last time. I started feeling queasy at about 6 weeks last time, but definitely wasn't even retching until about 9 weeks.
I'm 6 weeks on Thursday this week.

MacNcheese87 · 11/10/2016 13:18

Moose, I can't remember where I went before but it was lovely! More like someone's luxury house than anything medical! They managed a 7 week scan abdominally too and it was really nice. Kind of expecting a more medical environment with my one next week.

Urgh, please tell me the sickness doesn't develop any more? I'm 6+4 and the last few days I've had quite intense nausea waves throughout the day, but not sick. I can manage that. (I know baby is developing but I get to keep my lunch)

I didn't have morning sickness at all with my previous, I wasn't aware that it can build up slowly. I think I naively thought it would just hit and stay like that!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 11/10/2016 13:19

Sorry to hear that so many of you are having terrible morning sickness, hopefully you will all feel better after this first trimester. I was hoping for no morning sickness as I didn't have any at all in my other three pregnancies but this time I am feeling queasy already at only 4 weeks.

Masweetpea1 · 11/10/2016 13:29

Im in Manchester and the scans here are all around £100. We've decided to have one at 8 weeks i had a mc at 7+5 in July. But the sickness this morning is very comforting (in a weird sort of way!!)

peace, maybe it's twins Wink. With my daughter i was sick at 6 weeks as well (with the mc my symptoms disappeared at 6 weeks), so i think 6 weeks is about the norm for starting morning sickness, bleurghhhh!!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/10/2016 13:33

I don't want to hear the T word! There are some in my family, horrifyingly.

Mooseville · 11/10/2016 13:33

I've only thrown up once, but I'm aware of a constant sort of odd feeling around my saliva glands in my cheeks if that makes sense???? Like my stomach doesn't feel sick but my mouth does?????
Ha ha, I don't know how else to describe it!!!
