Thanks for the tip re. birthing ball exercise 10 weeks.. will give it a shot.

Shoobiedoo - why don't you go along to one or two, seeing as they are free? You can always ditch them if they don't turn out to be any use.

I'm starting mine this week - at last! Tomorrow night is the relaxation class and thurs is the couples' chat. Quite looking forward to seeing if there is anyone else in my village I could maybe make pregnant-friends with.

Everyone sounds like they've been quite busy this weekend and getting very organised! We picked up the moses basket from SIL this weekend and the pram will be cleaned and ready to be handed down to us next week. Baby's room is getting rather full now...

maveta · 05/02/2007 12:47

Oh yeah, IB3 congrats on being on ML!!! Lucky thing, very but then you are carrying two so I guess that balances it out

1becomes3 · 05/02/2007 13:17

Just had my tesco's shopping delivered. The delivery man was looking at my bump in a very strange way, so I said "Yes can I help" he said "There's a wierd lump sticking out of your tummy" I looked down and realised one of the DT's was having a big strech sticking a hand or foot a mile out my tummy
Poor bloke looked like he was going to faint

I ordered some lose banana's from tesco in the quantity part I put 1 for what I thought was 1 bunch, turns out it was 1 banana.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/02/2007 13:19

1b3, lol at your banana ordering - I bet they thought that was a bit strange. I have to admit I have done similar when ordering fruit and veg!

I love online groceries though - have done it for years!

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 14:09

Good news - but rather irritating

MY WASHING MACHINE DOES WORK - MY MUM HAD FIDDLED WITH IT, PRESSED ALL THE BUTTONS AND TURNED THE SPIN DIAL DOWN TO 0

Have just rung John Lewis and cancelled new one! Woman thought I was completely bonkers!

Have also found instruction booklet for camera so am going to download pics and set up a profile - have taken pic sof my nursery

1B3 the man and the banana!!!

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 14:10

Haven't told my mum this - realised it today when decided would wash clothes without spin anyway!

eca · 05/02/2007 14:13

hey girls

hope you are all ok today!

WO - thanks for CD! Arrived this morning safe and sound. You are such a love! Looking forward to trying it out tonight

Maveta - definately would recommend a gym ball. It's the only thing that I get comfortable on at the moment. dh bought it me for xmas and I was worried I wouldn't use it much, but it's so comfy I'm using it all the time

Hi Tilli - glad things have settled for you. Hope it stays that way.

Hi Clarice! So pleased everything is good for you and parents are being so lovely and supportive!

Flump! Sorry to hear you ended up in hospital. Take care and go easy on yourself while you recover.

Nutty - your hairdresser sounds fab! Mine would just make me wait!

Congrats on starting mat leave 1b3. Hope you have a nice time winding down a bit after all the stress you've had! ROFL at your delivery man! VV funny!

Sorry to hear you were sick Mammyjo. I have MUCH sympathy for people being sick Hope you feel better today.

SOL - at having to dismiss someone. Hope it goes ok.

Hello to everyone else i've missed. Just madly racing round trying to finish marmalade (yes, that's even more marmalade) before work at 3. Not sure I'm going to make it!

Hit 30wks on sat and then had a panic attack thinking if baby's a couple of weeks early i'll only have 8wks left!! Ahhh! Panic!

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 14:46

Does my profile comeup?

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 14:48

Aha when you click on my name you can see my nursery and whoever wanted to borrow the dress - its on there too! Struggled to get more photos on it... kept going blank!

eca · 05/02/2007 14:58

hey 10 wks. Nursery looks lovely!!! really sweet!

Noticed on your profile it says you have no children and then that you have 2 boys ?????

1becomes3 · 05/02/2007 15:38

10weeks- your nursery is lovely, my poor Dt's are stuck in our room, which at the moment is not that great, full of dust and crap like the rest of the house.

I have been doing some nesting in there so it is slowly getting sorted out, but it is slowly.

I can't wait till this house is finished and we can move into our brand new one, will be so nice not to live on a building site for once.

maveta · 05/02/2007 16:00

10 weeks..wow your nursery is gorgeous!! You ARE ready..wow. Good effort!

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 16:13

eca - its selective - there are times when I take ownership of the boys and times when I don't - didn't do it on purpose - will go back and have a look again.

I have just bought some bunting for the room aswell

Must go ds1 in meltdown!

1becomes3 · 05/02/2007 16:33

It seems really quite on here, typical my first day of ML and no one is posting.

or maybe it is just me having some time on my hands for once, I may start dinner early

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/02/2007 16:40

10 weeks, the nursery looks lovely. Where did you get the chair from? We need to get something. Last time around, my pil's lent us a bloody plastic garden chair with cushions on it - looked well naff, and want something nice!

God, I need to get dh on the case of putting the cotbed back together blah blah.

Right, need to get petrol, pick up a parcel which I am hoping is a JJMB travel change mat, then pick up dd. No end of things to do!

Back later. x

1becomes3 · 05/02/2007 16:47

SOSPL-I have told my Dh that all I want for my b-day is a gliding rocking chair, you can pick them up quite reasonably on ebay, or there are other types of rockers on there.
I have an Ikea rocking chair in DD room is handy but not very good for BF.

runnyhabbit · 05/02/2007 17:13

Hi all,

10wks - nursery looks lovely

Only have 4 weeks left in work, and as I only work 4 hours a day, thats not very long at all. Am getting very excited!!!!!

Katy44 · 05/02/2007 17:26

Hi everyone,
Tili, Nice to hear from you. Hope you're OK, please keep us updated on how you're doing.
10weeks... can't believe you'll soon be in single figures - does anyone else feel like between 18 weeks and now has just flown??
at your washing machine saga though - glad you've not had to buy a new one. Thanks for the voucher code as well, I plan to use it for a moses basket which I will order as soon as I'm organised!
1b3 - hope you're enjoying your maternity leave so far and taking things easy.
Vio - I went to an NCT AN evening on my own (although there aren't any classes) I was the only one on my own and did feel a bit out of place. Don't want to scare you and i came out the other end just fine but if you have a friend who would be willing to go with you it might be worth asking.
When are you due by the way? Are you on the stats thread?

EllieKwithabigbump · 05/02/2007 18:22

hi all
i'm back!
and not wishing to sound too optimistic but looks like it might all be ok, we talked lots and I think we can work through it, he seems to want to anyway.

off to catch up now x

OP posts:
AngeG · 05/02/2007 18:27

EllieK that's fantastic news Hope it all works out for you. Great that he wants to try.

Right off to catch up on the day. Looks like it's been a quiet one again.

10weeksandcounting · 05/02/2007 18:38

Good news EllieK

SOSPL - its a glider chair I bought off ebay and then bought some material from John Lewis and made my own covers - has a stool aswell. I paid £50 for mine - if you have a look you can get a new one for £100 from some places - not a dutailier one but definitely other makes.

TV is off tonight for the boys - we are having a puzzle evening! Biggest puzle seems to be getting the pieces back in the boxes so we can have stories

I think the last 10 weeks since scan have flown by - really hoping the last bit goes just as quick

I have decided that I like the name Joe the best - still on middle names - would like something longer ...(not Huckleberry LOL)

Boys are now driving me nuts - time to get ready for bed!

Have meeting tonight so will catch up tomorrow

AngeG · 05/02/2007 18:49

10weeks - Glad the washing machine thing is sorted. At least you didn't call out a repairman to tell you that Your nusery looks fantastic, you've been working hard and putting the rest of us to shame

Runnyhabbit - 4wks left at work - I'm of you. I'll be working right up to the c-section date I think...although I only work 2 days so really should be greatful that I don't work full time.

SOSPL - Hope work tomorrow goes ok and you manage to keep you emotions in check for the dismissal. Sending strong emotion vibes your way.

Flumpootle - Hope your starting to feel better now.

Mammyjo - Hope you're feeling ok and that the sickness didn't come back.

Hectic day for me today. Jake had pre-school this morning which was good because I spent the morning tidying the house in preparation for my mum's group.

Can't remember if I've said before. Mums group is a group of us who all met at the HV classes held in our area when our first LOs were born. The children are all born between Sept and Oct 2003. We have lost a few along the way there were about 10 of us now only about 8. So today there were, 7 mums and 3 yr olds in my house!! It was lovely and I really enjoy meeting up with everyone, we still meet once a week and I don't know how I would have got through these 3 yrs without their support. Having said that it was really hectic, but they were lovely and insisted on tidying up all the toys before they left.

Feeling a bit sore this evening though, too much jumping up and down making drinks and separating fighting 3 yr olds I think. Must try to rest this evening otherwise SPD will be terrible tomorrow

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 05/02/2007 18:58

Thanks 10 weeks for the note re the chair. I think I may look in Ikea at some point. tbh I just want a non-gliding, non-rocking chair.

Ange, your day sounded exhausting. I used to meet up with a couple of girls and their 2 girls and that was hectic enough!

Feel knackered tonight. Can't wait for bed.

Right bath time for Becky. See you later. x

maveta · 05/02/2007 19:06

Just popping in before I start dinner..tonight we´re having spicy chicken wings and mashed potato/carrot. Mmmm..

Then got to pop round to mum´s to feed her cats but oh I wish I didn´t have to..I´m so tired today. I feel awful complaining when so many of you work full time but work just takes it out of me. Or mabe it´s the 40 mins walking time each way that does it?? Hmm..maybe that´s it.. think the car is going to get pressed into service more and more.

Can´t remember what else I wanted to say. Off work tomorrow so will try and be more on the ball then!

Katy44 · 05/02/2007 19:07

EllieK, that's wonderful, hope you manage to get things sorted.
Does that mean I might be all alone for next Friday's weird postings? Well unless weeonion pops in after her bath again (am still laughing at the image)
Any chance BigOnion could come round and clean my kitchen? Then make some sandwiches for tomorrow?
