Hi all. I know Im rubbish at keeping up with you all
Well we are definitely moving on the wb 26th Feb!
I have mixed feelings about my mum coming to stay, either when we move or when I have the lo. For a start she will only be about 30 mins away, but she "just knows I'll never manage without her!"
She has even cancelled a holiday in case moving makes the baby come early which makes me feel guilty, but have to admit that I am almost definitely not up to managing all by myself, money is tight so we can't pay anyone to help, so we probably will need her.
Hope you are all keeping well. At the moment I have 3 kiddies with a stinking cold that are up all night coughing and consequently v grumpy all day! Only 1 healthy one left........and have a tickly throat myself so am just having a cup of honey and lemon with loads of sugar in......really don't want to get ill at the moment!

AngeG · 06/02/2007 17:41

Nuttygirl - I don't know about you but I like a bit of a belly on my man, makes them all the more cuddly

AngeG · 06/02/2007 17:42

Nutty - you go girl, maybe I should try that this time...where would I go with a baby and Jake??? Any offers

nuttygirl · 06/02/2007 17:44

Lol...DH definitely cuddly but it is a bit strange how similar to a pgcy bump it looks!!!

nuttygirl · 06/02/2007 17:46

Oh I had no idea where to go....went to train station in a 'i'm going home to my parents' strop but have a fear of public transport so didn't even manage to buy a ticket...just sat in station til DH came to find me. not sure it'll work twice....might have to have a new plan for when ILs visit this time!!!

AngeG · 06/02/2007 17:46

Cazboldy - Good to hear from you. Great that your mum will be around to help you move house especially if you're doing it yourselves. You don't want to be tiring yourself out too much. Hope you're all feeling better soon. [[[Hugs]]

EllieKwithabigbump · 06/02/2007 17:50

Captain Dippy - go back to GMM's first link, it works now and has the recipe there too!

Caz - where are you moving to?

to all those having problems with parents/PIL, I know it can be difficult but at least you have the back-up of knowing someone will be there in a moment if you need them, my mum left when I was 12 and as much my dad is great, I helped bring up my little bro's cos small children completely flummox him! so I'll be going it alone, which is sometimes a wonderful thing, but there are also times when you just really want someone to call on x

EllieKwithabigbump · 06/02/2007 18:00

weeonion · 06/02/2007 18:01

sorry - just reread that last post. it might not have come across the way in intended. i didnt want to sound as if i was getting at any of us who have been posting about parents / inlaws etc

cazboldy · 06/02/2007 18:02

and thanks for the hugs Ange

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 18:04

Hugs Ellie

WO, my dh's belly is getting bigger and its my fault Have developed a liking for cream cakes with our evening pot of tea Just cant snap out of it.

Had mw appointment today and was given iron tablets - YUCK. She also said that bean was back to back and breech

AngeG · 06/02/2007 18:04

Don't worry WO I didn't take it like that. I agree everyones situation is different and what some people complain about others would be greatful for.

Sorry EllieK...hugs to you xx

AngeG · 06/02/2007 18:09

Flumpootle - that doesn't sound like a great mw app. Sorry hun. Others on here have talked about other medicines to take if the tablets cause constipation as I believe they can, I think they can be quite expensive but may be better than constipationSure someone will be on here later with more info.

How many weeks are you now? There is still time for LO to move isn't there? My friend was told at 38wks that her bean was breech after being told it was head down for ages, they sent her for a scan and bean was head ]down.

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 18:13

Thanks AngeG
The tablets usually make me feel sick rather than bloated . I am only 29 weeks and becasue its number 4 they are not worried at all, things get er...baggier the more you have
I thought that he was breech because he has been kicking me right in the fanjo which I really dont like - rude bean

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 18:13

sp

AngeG · 06/02/2007 18:15

Baggier I love that I had forgotten you were on number four

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 18:16

I forget sometimes too

10weeksandcounting · 06/02/2007 18:22

I can't keep up!

Wouldn't it be nice if relatives waited to be invited?

1B3 - tough decision with house - can you get it surveyed before friday?

Tea time... sausages, beans and mash.... yummy! (you can tell I'm cooking and not dh!)

My bump has really grown this week....

cazboldy · 06/02/2007 18:50

It does seem a bit unreal sometimes doesn't it flumpootle......I am going to be a mother of 5

cazboldy · 06/02/2007 18:52

It's not really a shock and obviously they are always reminding me with their wails of "mum" which even ds3 who is 13 months does all the while but saying that out loud.................

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 18:56

I know exactly what you mean Cazboldy
I think that I am living in ignorant bliss and will have one heck of a shock in April when this lo arrives. It really hasn't sunk in that there will be four of them in the house

flumppootle · 06/02/2007 19:07

Cazboldy can I ask your advice please?
I am finding it really difficult to talk about this pg and bean.
People react very strangely when I say that it is number 4. The comments that I get are outrageous.
This pg was a complete bolt out of the blue and I have found it hard to adjust.
MN has been a real relief for me to talk normally about pg stuff.
It just seems to get more scary the dcs that we have to think about. Do you find this hard aswell?

Bugmum · 06/02/2007 19:09

Hi All,
Thanks for the support over my crying bouts!

Peeing in a tiny cup: tip for whoever wanted it - use a disposable beaker (which are bigger), which you can then squash into a spout shape and transfer the wee. Simple.

BFing round DP's family: I certainly did the first time (although made one exception at a large family party full of the oldest rellies, but then tbh I welcomed a break from the party), and I expect to this time, all being well. I have a rule: no member of my family eats in a loo. Ever. I was reasonably discreet, and shall be again I expect, but I fed where I wanted to, when DS wanted to, for a full year. Sod those who disapprove/look at your shoes: boobs are meant to do this, and that's what you say if anyone is rude enough to object.

Ib3 - oh blimey, I wouldn't go to that house. Not miles away from all your support, not with twin babes and another LO. No way. Obviously, you will do what is right for you, but is the saving of money and the convenience of a new house worth the isolation and potential real issues that might involve?

Can't remember another thing from the mammoth thread, I'm afraid, but love to all xx
